Brought my pup here after his doggy girlfriend chomped his ear. Dr. Deyo was awesome. Took a conservative approach to treating the injury and it healed up perfectly. Nice staff, reasonable fees. Definitely impressed with Boone!

Everyone at Boone took such good care of my cat Gracie. Sadly, I had to put her down yesterday. Everyone was kind, caring and compassionate. And I mean everyone. They treated my fur-baby with such grace and kindness and respect. I cannot express enough how much they helped me.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, super sweet and patient. My cat needed surgery and they explained the entire procedure in a manner I could understand. Would definitely recommend if your animal needs specialty services.

Great place for your pets needs. A bit pricey but they give your pet complete care when you're there. They also do house calls when the day comes to let go of your pet. We were extremely grateful for the dignity and care shown to us and our dog in his final moments.

Very professional, friendly, honest, and informative, plus their prices aren't too bad either. We moved, tried a few places closer to our new home, and still ended up bringing our dogs here. I'm pretty sure I've had each veterinarian that works here, and they're all great.

Terrific staff! They are very gentle, caring and are very passionate about what they do. They also don't add on unnecessary things that your pet does not need just so they can make money! my cats and i left here very happy!

I see Dr Hines for both of my cats and she is wonderful. She truly cares about animals and has this certificate in her exam room showing she's a member of the Association of Feline Practitioners which made me feel much better when I had her clean my cat's teeth (which she had to be sedated for because why would you try to clean a cat's teeth while they are awake???) and she called me right after she finished cleaning to let me know how it went. She is so sweet and genuine and loves my kitties as much as I do!

I went to Dr. Hayes unsure if my terrier mix needed a second FHO surgery, as it seemed like the first surgery performed by a different surgeon before I had adopted her may not have taken. Dr. Hayes was one of the surgeons recommended by my regular vet. Dr. Hayes spent maybe 5 minutes in the room with me and my pup and quoted me $3500-$4000 for the surgery that my vet told me would likely only cost around $1000-$1200. I then went to a different surgeon also recommended by my vet for a second opinion. This surgeon spent nearly 30 minutes with me discussing my options, examining my dog, and observing how she moves/uses her leg. This other surgeon ultimately did not recommend surgery and instead recommended that I try swimming therapy. After a few months of swimming, my dog is now using her bad leg like normal. The staff at Boone was very friendly, but overall they clearly didn t care enough about my pet to take the time to determine if surgery was the best course of action. I felt like they did not care about my animal and only cared about taking my money. Boone Animal Hospital is not my regular vet, so I can not speak to those services. However my experience with Dr. Hayes for a surgical consult was incredibly disappointing.

The care of Dr. Jennifer was personal and professional for both of my dogs: Dolly and Pasta. The Vet Techs were both loving and tender in their treatment . I highly recommend Boone Animal Hospital.

Very disappointed with the service provided here. Extremely $$$

Our dog needs cytoppoint shots every 3 months for allergies. At all other vets the cost is $90-125 , here they charge $190 (because it s $50 for a disease screening) on top of his shot. This is NOT a requirement at any other vet and is extra fluff to pad the bill.

Our first experience was the similar and ended up costing us $440! With no heads up or explanation.

My dog is a rescue with a history of extreme anxiety around vet visits, so he can be challenging to put it lightly. The staff at Boone, from front office staff, to vet techs and doctors (we have worked with a number of staff members over the years) have always been amazing in creating a truly fear-free experience for my pup. For this alone, I will always recommend Boone. To take it a step further though, this past weekend, my dog ended up sneaking into the bathroom and ingesting lots of things he shouldn t have. We went to Boone and worked with Dr. Hines and Becky and ultimately decided surgery was necessary. Both Becky and Dr. Hines went above and beyond to talk me through all possible options for treatment and to make not only my dog comfortable, but me as well (I m pretty sure I required more comforting than my pup this time). AND they stayed late on a Saturday to perform the procedure and make sure Stewart was well-cared for when they could have sent us to an emergency clinic instead. I can t say enough how thankful I am to them, and how much it meant to have a caring team of professionals taking care of my pup in such a scary time. Stewart is healing well and will back to his old self in no time, all thanks to Dr. Hines and Becky. If you re looking for a veterinary clinic you can entrust with the well-being of your pets, this place is it!

Please don't go here... they bleed your wallet dry!
Three years ago, I adopted two dogs that came together because they are emotionally dependent on each other. We went to Boone because they were the place my grandma took her dog 20 years ago and they have a good name in the community. They have good service but the price is way too high. Everything has a fee, oh they pet your dog... $20 BUCKS! My dad lost his job 2 years into owning the dogs and we went a year without treatment because we didn't think we could afford to take them. That is until I got the idea to call around and price things out. What Boone quoted me to be almost $1,000 in treatments, Animal Hospital of Western Springs (the place where Boone used to be located) quoted me somewhere around $450 and they said they could work something out to get treatment. Boone is a nice place with great care, but so are so many other hospitals in the area. If their customers are willing to pay the high price than great, but I would save the money and put it away for your furry friends old years when they need more treatments more often.

Years ago, I took my cat, Mama s Boy, to Boone Animal Hospital for a biopsy that cost $500. The vet there told me that the biopsy result was inconclusive. I asked for and read the report. The report indicated that the biopsy was inconclusive because the biopsy had been done incorrectly. Namely, that the tissue that was to be biopsied was not present because it had not been properly gathered. The report suggested that the biopsy be redone. By this time, the vet had already left the practice and nothing was done. My cat died.

I took my cat there after he had been sneezing quite a bit. I called and Laura answers. Very sweet and caring. I got a 1030 appt. They took me the second I walked in. They were very caring and loving. Jessica was very thour ought and friendly. Dr Duran was extremely knowledgeable and cared about lot about spanky selfie health. But most of all.they didn't push 20 things on me that my cat didn't need like my other vet did! I will be back! I left very pleased!

One of my dogs needed surgery when she was a puppy and our regular vet recommended Dr. Hayes at Boone Animal Hospital. We were very happy with the services from the moment we called for the initial appointment. The front staff is friendly and listens to make the appropriate notes for the doctor. Dr. Hayes has always called us back to answer any questions or listen to our concerns. Appointments were made quickly and surgery outcomes have always been great. They provide you with a lot of written information so that when you get home you can review what you have discussed with the team. Now it is years later and the same dog needed another surgery (on the other knee) and it was clear where we would go! After numerous visits and clearly being a bit in pain right after the surgery, our dog still cannot wait to go to Boone and greets everyone there with a happy smile and wildly wagging tail! It's really kind of magic. Great service, great surgical skills and care. If you follow their advice your dog will have a great outcome and will be able to live a happy, full functioning life. Prices are not cheap, but comparable to other good surgical places. HOWEVER,- Dr. Hayes DID NOT charge me for follow up visits to ensure my dog's health and only charged for the medication. And even for that they gave me the option of picking it up at my regular vet which may have been cheaper. It is up to each pet parent, but in my experience you get what you pay for. Dr. Hayes is a highly skilled specialist and the clinic has top notch technology. The staff engages in continuing education to be the best in the business, so you can't expect to pay the lower amount you would play at a vet who has not updated their knowledge or equipment in years. I highly recommend Boone Animal Hospital to any dog owner who needs surgical care for their furry friend! (And I'm sure they provide great care to other animals too.)

My Lab had a fully blown knee, very happy I found Boone and Dr. Hayes for this surgery. Excellent work and follow up, six weeks into this and my dog is feeling much better, close to being herself again. Great staff at Boone, all around; highly recommend.

These are truly great vets. I would say they are in the middle to high range of cost, but this is definitely a get what you pay for place. My cat recently swallowed approximately 3 feet of string. I went to an emergency vet and they quoted me a price of 4k for the surgery. I waited till the next day and took him to my vet, and she quoted me at least half of the emergency cost. Luckily, she took the time to try and remove the string after he was given the surgical anesthesia. It came out without surgery, and cost around $600. They really work hard to do the best for you and your pet.
