Definitely visit the Gligora dairy. Award winning great cheese. Over 40 varieties in store. Also other delicious ones from the region. Wine oil ham rakija jam honey chocolate
The most famous cheese factory on the island of Pag and one of the best in our country, top quality sheep and other dairy products, super decorated for the purpose of tasting and buying other indigenous delicacies and ornaments and excellent wines. Great contribution to tourism and development since time immemorial.
Given that we were not hungry because after a hearty breakfast, we tried the 35 kn mini tasting to get at least a vague idea of their cheeses before going to the store. We have renounced the tour and invested in buying cheese that will be my gifts for those who stayed at home. Dear boy in the tasting area, a special thanks to Anita for help with purchases ...
Closed on Sunday, I came for nothing thanks to change the opening hours.
Great tour through the production with a delicious tasting
Very nice shop. Many type of cheese, you can taste it. Olive oil, wine and a lot of regional products good for souvenir.
Thank you for the quality of the products tasted and the preparation of the girls at the store who accompanied us on a journey of magical flavors
Everything is great, but the prices instead of being promotional are the same as in supermarkets !?
Delicious cheese can be tasted in the tasting room and be bought there or in the shop. Friendly guidance appreciated. In the shop you also can get wine, some meat and jam and honey.
Anyone looking for cheese and regional products is in the right place here top shop with 150 degrees of cheese maturity
Very nice service and nice shop. Those who don't like the smell of cheese and dry meat should avoid the shop.
Very positive experience, certainly a recommendation
Wonderful time learning about the very special and unique cheese that is made on the Island Pag. Pa ki Sir is so good! Stop in for a tasting and a tour it will not disappoint you! Beware, you will end up buying a lot of cheese!!
Pricey but great cheeses. Tasty peppers stuffed with cheese
Great cheeses, fine cheeses !!!! 5 stars, definitely. It's a great store in Jarun Market.
Service and products excellent, I come again in 7 months
Osiblhe kindly, and CHEESE IS A BALM FOR THE LANGUAGE, PALATE AND SOUL! Congratulations.
The cafe has a plate where you can taste five types of cheese.
35 Kuna.
I will do a factory tour every hour until 14:00.
Price of Pa ki cheese is much more expensive in this shop than at regular retailers like Lorenco, Spar etc.
We didn't visit the dairy, but did a little 'tasting'. We tried the 6 types of cheese and the dalmatian ham.
Very nice staff, definitely recommended if you are in the area.
In a class of its own - a cheese connoisseur will surely find something for himself - a large selection.
Tasty cheese for every taste. On the second floor there is a wine department, which sells very tasty wine and oil. I recommend
Really nice place for a tour and tasting! Interesting history and great cheese! Worth a visit
Excellent cheeses with the possibility of tasting. New: homemade oil and wine.
Unfortunately only English, can only holiday English, cheese tasting was ok
Delicious. Unfortunately we were too late. In October the dairy is only open at 12 noon. The shop always.
Beautiful shop with typical cheeses, local wines and and olive oil.
An interesting and well-organized presentation of cheese production
Very tasty cheeses. An instructive tour of the cheese factory. Tasting for finger licking.
We also visited this cheese dairy because of the many positive reviews. The cheese tasting was also successful - you can choose between different cheese plates and (depending on the plate) you get bread and fruit.
However, the tasting room is very reminiscent of a youth hostel and is not particularly inviting. You sit at long rows of tables, which are very functional and not very cozy. The friendly staff couldn't change that.
The main reason for our visit, the tour of the cheese factory, was also rather disappointing. Our guide was friendly and personable, but the tour was boring. This was mainly the fact that the cheese dairy has already been cleaned, because the end of the day was imminent (the tour started at 2 p.m.). Therefore, there was ultimately nothing to see, because all production processes had already stopped. The main criticism of the tour is the price of 35 kuna if you don't order a cheese platter afterwards. This price was completely overpriced for a tour of about 10 minutes (since there was nothing left to see).
So, if you definitely want to try a cheese platter, this is the right place, but if you want to try interested in the tour, should think again or choose an earlier time.
Too good cheese, true expensive but therefore too good quality.
Very friendly; tasty, fancy cheeses, with plenty of samples to find ones you like. We found plenty, and ended up buying them all! Highly recommend the Pag extra-mature.
We are a group of Italians and yesterday we were in the store. We wanted to visit the factory and do the tastings but since it was Sunday everything was closed. One of the orders that presented itself as "gligora" (sorry I don't know what it means in Croatian language) insisted on making us buy ... A nice shop suggestion, nice products, but an advice
less insistence on buying and on vacation leaving the Sunday open for tourists the tasting and the factory ... Sorry for the two stars but for a complex like yours we were very very disappointed.
Small, fine cheese shop, air-conditioned, with many regional specialties. The truffle cheese is a poem. You can pay by card here and there are enough parking spaces available.
Great cheese, but they charge 38 kuna to do a tour where they tell you nothing about the cheesemaking process and offer you no cheese to taste... Really bizarre
Skip the tour and just go to the tasting room and order cheese to taste
Very pleasant welcome and a wide choice of typical cheese from the island of Pag.
Variety of local specialities, professional service
When you are hanging around the island, it's definitely worth coming here. First league cheeses, like other products such as pancetta. One star less for the money.
My own experience with this shop was beyond the expectation. Here is the story. I live in Switzerland, my godmother was celebrating her 60th bday in a remote Kolansko blato camp (it doesnt exist on google maps) by herself and her husband. I tried several flower shops without the success, until the end I stumbled upon this great shop. They prepared this gift basket (delicious vine, cheese, jams) in 1 day, responded to my wishes immediately via FB messenger and without hesitation agreed to personally deliver the gift to her. I paid online the same day. All that in 1.5 day from the request to the final delivery, from Switzerland to the island of Pag. On top of that, they copied the long message I prepared for her, with a personal touch. All I can say is, than I am so grateful to their professional service, existence and entrepreneurial spirit! They made my godmother s day special!!
I buy in Gligora's shop .. always very kind .. I mostly find what I want
A saleswoman is absolutely utterly unkind, disrespectful and repulsive to customers. When the employee changes, I come to buy cheese
Had a nice factory tour and a taster cheese platter. The staff is fantastic, very knowledgeable and definitely ask for their recommendations.
Excellent place with excellent cheeses and other fine goods. Whoever goes to the island of Pag should not omit this place. You buy a lot of food from this region (including salt, olive oil, ...), but you need a magnet that will remind him of a nice holiday !!!
Before too expensive. Even the Italians thought three times whether to buy. MIH is much more affordable and the taste is still characteristic of Pag. We eventually bought from them.
It's not just like that to get a gold medal, and Gligora lowers them like on a chain, one after the other. One day again, they are impossible.
They came to the tasting room to naively try and buy cheese.
First we bought some of the offered products in the factory shop, and then we set off for the tasting room. Immediately upon entering we see that it is a restaurant and not a board on which several types of cheese are sliced for tasting (tasting). We also received an offer of cheese salaries and a price list. BEZOBRAZNO !!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEY CHARGE TASTING OF 100g OF CHEESE FROM 60.00 kn AND MORE !!!!!!
SALARIES YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM 150.00 TO 190.00 kn!
With us, I am always disappointed and surprised at all the spoiled and rude ways they want to get money. Although there are many types of cheese on the market and much more affordable, we really wanted to buy some of the local products, but unfortunately we could not taste the cheese and did not buy anything, but we felt cheated and offended!
top quality, has its price, but it is still appropriate. The tasting was excellent.
A place to try the famous cheese of the island. They have a cheese tasting for a cheap price, but we opted for the cheese board for two people, quite expensive for the portions that each cheese included. Of course, the cheeses are really rich. They also have island wines. The place itself does not have much charm, but it is a good visit if you are on the island.
offer the best cheese, wine and olive oil in the world
One of the best cheese in the region (Croatia and surrounding land countries). Definitely recommend visiting and tasting. Have in mind that goat cheese is superb, but cow cheese is also really good but not at the same level. Personally would recommend the goat cheese with truffles but regular ones or with added other things like rosemary are also really good :)
Here it is considered the best cheese ... we stopped to buy some and I tell you that it is a real pleasure ... accompanied by a good red and Dalmatian ham is the end!
Isn't here the third year for otherwise. Highly Recommended!
Cheese factory on the island of Pag, definitely recommended.
Great shop and probably great cheeses that we won't try due to the extreme unprofessionalism of a saleswoman who dedicated herself exclusively to a gentleman with whom she obviously felt she had more money, while a woman, two small children and I waited for ten minutes with masks to ask a few questions. Disappointing. But that's the way it is. Today, everyone works in a store and anyone can be a waiter ... After we realized that no one sees us, we decided to spend the money provided for cheeses in the Pag cheese factory in Pag.
Very large selection of cheese which is really delicious, directly from the manufacturer.
As well as very friendly staff.
It is something special but a very expensive experience
cheese tasting from 10am to 4pm daily, but always good to call and check, just in case. We visited after 4pm unfortunately so we missed the tasting! But at least we got to try a delicious sample of their famous hard cheese made from island goats milk, which they always have available even if the cheese tasting isn't. I'm no cheese connoisseur- but to me it tasted like a super fabulous aged white cheddar with the texture of a young cheddar. We also bought a huge wheel of Dalmatian Goat cheese made with Istrian Truffles, yum!!!
And it's so darn healthy, to boot! I bought LOTS to take sailing with the family. It's only a quick 10 minutes pit stop to try and buy cheese but well worth it if you're on the island and looking for something to do.
They also have local wines, olive oil and island sweets like jams from local ingredients and locally made chocolate and fruit bars. As well as cute ceramic trinkets and mugs paying homage to the wonderful goats that make their lovely cheese possible!!
Excellent cheeses. Visit to the dairy on payment, tasting of cheeses to be paid separately. We did the tour of 11 and unfortunately we could not see the cheese because the machines in the room were already cleaning.
Factory store for Pag cheese. Great selection of numerous varieties, as well as cured meats, salt, olive oil, wine and other Croatian delicacies. Great to place to stop and with ample parking.
Unfortunately, I don't have a photo, you can also take a tour of the cheese factory and in your own shop, then buy cheese. They are very friendly and can speak English well.
Great adventure during summer vacation. Visit inside production area was very interesting, specially with smart, funny, young boy leading the tour. Amount of cheese in maturation room is impressive as well as number of awards they won. Cheese tasting part is great adventure through wide range of tastes and you must try it out.
Very nice place where you can taste great cheeses from Pag. If you like cheeses you should visit this place.
Tasty goat cheese very nice factory, lunch is very tasty.
