Fantastic food, drinks and service! Christmas dinner was very well planned and the spread contained a great variety of items. Desserts menu can be improved. Overall a great experience for the special dinner!

Like most Asian hotel properties, this Marriott feels more upscale than its Western equivalents. The rooms are a decent size, the breakfast meets expectations, and the location is generally great. On foot, this location has everything you d want with access to shops and parks, but the inconvenience comes with taxis. The entrance to this place is very congested and difficult to get to because of its prime location. Expect to wait linger for a taxi here than at most hotels in the area.

Standard Marriott experience. They've got nice rooms and good common areas for hanging out. The double rooms only have single beds, which was a bit unusual, but otherwise it was a good experience. Great views over Orchard Road from the higher rooms and executive lounge.

Staff were friendly and responsive to concerns. They made accommodations for the children not being able to visit the lounge which was greatly appreciated. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were large. Excellent location in the city. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Awesome hotel and I was upgraded to 30th floor and received a complimentary massage .. I'm over the moon. Awesome checkin, awesome service and this is day 1 .. few more to go, i still have to try breakfast and dinner at buffet

Went there for a meal at Wan Hao. Lovely meal! One of the best dim sum in Singapore!

The menu has changed and dim sum is no longer a standalone menu but rather has been incorporated into the main menu. There are now only about 10 items in the dim sum menu and prices have increased tremendously as well.

The food still taste good but given the price increase, it does certainly leave a bit of a bitter taste to many customers. Having said that if you have AMEX Platinum Card or better, you can get great discounts of up to 50% off (excluding GST and service charge)

Good location, right in the middle of Orchard road. Was there for a dinner and dance event. Food standard was excellent and professional crew. Posh interior and certainly worthy of a 5* rating.

Arrived late at night, for a 3 days workshop at the hotel, the check in process was very fast, the information that was delivered to me only the breakfast venue and my room will be on the high floor.

entered the room and shocked, since I m staying alone in the room and they gave me twin bed room and they didn t give me a notice during the check in process. Call the "at your service" button, asked to be move to a king bed room. they call back and said no king bed available.

The day after my PA emailed their event team, asked them to move me to a king bed room, they said they will contact me directly for the availability. Up until I finished my workshop and up to late at night, no one from the hotel contacted me and im pretty sure there s no blinking on the room s phone for any messages, and no printed letter as well, nothing.
The next day my PA, do the follow up and emailed their event team again and the reply was really shocking, they said they already contacted me but there s NO REPLY from me, while until I left the room in the morning I didn t see any messages nor a blinking on the phone.

Complaint hard to their front office supervisor and told them for not blaming me for not replying to them while im not receiving any message from them and they said they left me a message in the voice mail, but im really sure there s no blinking on the phone. When at night im back at the room after the workshop, finally I saw there s a blinking on the phone and I tried to hear the message by pressing the voice mail button but all I can hear is a call tone only, not connected to anywhere or anyone.

At first im only disappointed, since they can t fulfill a very simple request, but now im really annoyed by them trying to blame me on their ignorance on addressing customer request and complaint. Not to mention on their lack of creativity on contacting customer and try to solve the issue, since they have my email address, and private phone number, not to mention that im staying In the hotel the whole day for a workshop under the same company name.

They should be ashamed on the marriot 5 star world class hotel big name by the way they solving customer issues. So STOP BLAMING your customer before you check your own process and system!!!!

The sitting sofa had mysterious white spots all over it. See pictures. Don't stay in a room ending in 01, 02, 15, or 16. These rooms are next to the elevator. They ding all day and night. If I had stayed longer I would had complained.

The was hotel nicely renovated. but that's all. I had the worst ever experience with a 5star hotel.

We arrived and greeted by a very rude bell boy, then we waited for over half an hour to get our bags delivered upstairs.

Our room, which is a double room with an extra bed that we were paying extra for. Well, meaning 3 guests were staying in that room. The extra bed was setup, great, however there were only 2 set of towels... Rocket science. So we called the reception, nothing happened. We then asked the house keeping staff who happened to be in the hall, we politely explained and asked if we can have a extra towel. She replied "why, when are u checking out, why do u need extra towel..." basically questioned us like we were some kind of criminals. Finally got that extra towel, then the same thing happened the day after.

The week before i stayed in a small hotel in chinatown costed me SG$130 per night had given me better service.

Well Marriott has certainly outdone itself this time. Lol!
I used to work at a 3 Star Marriott back in the day, so when I think Mariott, I think 'average'.. But not Marriott Tang Plaza of Singapore. This is an elegant 5 Star beauty nestled in Singapore's business district. Very touristy area too!
The VIP lounge and the outdoor pool share the 5th floor. So after I had a couple gins I literally ran outside and jumped in the pool! I figured since it's my last night in this country, "I'm enjoying myself to the fullest!"
4th floor is Spa/ Fitness Center. Although I didn't use spa facilities, I did get a great work out at the gym. I didn't feel so guilty after I packed on all the extra calories from the buffet breakfast!
The room was modern and very clean. Super comfy bed too. If I ever return to this gorgeous country, I will insist on staying here at the Marriott Tang Plaza. The customer service was fantastic as the staff went above and beyond!

The design is dated but the size is actually quite big. The pool is relatively small so you do need to pre-book your slot in order to swim during COVID time. It is shallow (about 1m). Toilet does not have bath tub and water pressure in the bathroom is weak. The location of the hotel is good as it is in the middle of orchard which connects to the orchard MRT allowing you to move around the island quickly. However, the room cleaner didn't do a good job, beds were poorly made and cups were left unwashed. Front desk forgot to book my dinner at the restaurant after twice reminder.

Just to set the context: I m a huge fan of the Marriott chain s hotels and a Platinum Elite member. However this hotel was a little disappointing because the building just feels dated and really cries out for a refresh. Despite the exorbitant rates, there were water stains on the white bathroom ceiling, the silicon sealant was mouldy or peeling, etc. Yes, the location is phenomenal but surely that s not good enough for the Marriott?

Great location in Singapore's shopping district. It is super convenient being in the middle of lots of shopping and food options. The hotel is very conveniently linked underground to the MRT system, and bus stops are right outside making it easy to get around.
