A local favorite for seafood, I enjoyed my meal at S&S. I didn't like how we were made to walk through the service area of the open kitchen to get to our table though. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and it was awesome.

Ist time eating here and had a wonderful experience. Wait staff very attentive, food was excellent. We did make reservations. Ask for a seat with a view, so worth it.

2nd visit was in the afternoon on a weekday and was not as wonderful. No one this time asked if we wanted to hang our coats. Had a great view and great food but waitress lacked communication and wait staff tends to take things away without asking. (Happened on 1st visit also) Took our silverware and we had to ask for more. Would come again, just in the evening.

Great last stop after making the "First Friday" rounds. Tasty bar menu, with half off Happy Hour appetizers. Scrumptious sweet potato fries, creamy crab artichoke spread, baked brie, topped off with refreshing cocktails and Brandy Ice for dessert. Beautiful Cook Inlet views under the midnight sun can't be beat!

Service is terrible, usually the waitress checks in on you ever so often. Here she came twice. Also, my food was cold. Would of been great but, just the terrible service forced the two-star rating. Won't be coming back. EVER

The only good part about my visit was the service. The food was terrible, I had seared halibut that was terribly over cooked as well as over priced. The portions are like something you would find in a true high end gastro pub, without the quality. My business partner had crab legs or so he thought, the price of his entree was over 64 dollars, he received a half of a crab leg. Would strongly suggest going else where. In my opinion the only thing this place has to offer is a view, if that is what you are after go to 49th state brewing.

Smoked salmon bisque was good, clam chowder not so much. $12.00 and $10.00 respectively. Very small servings. Have had better for half the cost. Price is too high for the quality of the food. Service was slow.

We enjoyed brunch here at Simon and Seaforts. Our service was great. The raspberry white chocolate chip muffins that were brought to our table were amazing.
The traditional Benedict was a good choice. Very good. Hollandaise sauce could have had a bit more flavor but it was still a good choice.
The clam chowder was spectacular!! I highly recommend it. The crab artichoke wasn t my favorite but we will definitely be going again to try their dinner menu.

Great views from the bar! Had drinks and enjoyed our time at the restaurant during and after happy hour. We didn t eat there, but it looked like typical seafood fare with rich sauces and sides.

A bit disappointed. It is not cheap and apparently tough to get a reservation. We were put in the very back corner...was way too hot in there! Had to walk thru ate a where the wait staff was picking up the dishes to be served. I had Alaskan King Crab legs for a pretty pricey amount. The sides were warm...bordering cold when delivered to the table. My friend had the colassal crab leg and had the same issues with his side's. What a disappointment.

Portions were very small. We had brunch and ordered the Alaskan Rockfish and Alaskan Silver Salmon. The salmon was great but very tiny. I thought the rockfish's seasoning was simple and too salty. I thought the dishes were overpriced but I guess you're paying for the view.

Fresh, delicious meal. Noisy restaurant....we could not talk. Sunset so bright, that we could not see. Good waiter. Celebrating my sister's birthday, & the end of our cruise, so a special day. In short, good meal, but lacking in ambiance.

Best halibut dish I have ever had. I spent about 8 days in Alaska and ate fish almost every day because Alaska has great fish so I should take advantage of it. Even after having really good dishes everywhere I went I still could not believe how delicious the halibut was at Simon & Seafort's. The service was impeccable--the waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful with making decisions without being intrusive and stifling. It is a nice mix of upperclass seafood dining, but for a reasonable price. Add in that you have a spectacular view of the ocean and you get a must visit restaurant that I cannot recommend more highly.

A great nostalgic restaurant overlooking the water. Fresh, delicious appetizers, seafood and prime rib. Crab legs, King Salmon, Halibut , Prime Rib and Baked Alaska for desert were delicious and prepared perfectly. Waiter was friendly, fantastic and helpful with the menu. Truly enjoyed the flavourful cuisine of Anchorage.

This used to be my favorite place to go with friends and anyone who wanted to go out. Now I am wondering what happened to my favorite restaurant? It seems like the services isn't that great anymore and every time we go we would go all out. The last 2 times my prime rib was over cooked(ordered med rare) my server said "I am sorry you didn't like it". I would have loved it if it wasn't over cooked. We though maybe they had a bad day and wanted to try again. This time our food came out 2 minutes after our salad did and our drinks we empty most of the night. We said we wanted dessert and he came with the check. We waited for about 8 minutes then said we wanted dessert and we felt like we were just bothering them by being there. I wish it were like my favorite restaurant again. But I don't think it is anymore.

I was trusting previous reviews :/.This place has a nice view, ambiance: looks sophisticate, but it was very noisy, waitress was good. We were looking for Real & tasty seafood, sadly none of the three main dishes rated. We pay u$s30+ each for a sort of sophisticated watery fish soup, bad seafood pasta not even al dente sort of sticky, and Halibut with pure, buttery sauce and mushroom, ...not worth it. May be try the steak, good luck.

Waiter was great, atmosphere was great, drinks were great but prime rip was a little cold, asparagus was a little under cooked and potatoes could have been a little more flavorful. For me and my friend who I was her for her birthday... said her food could had been better temped too. I was expecting a little something more special for here birthday and I had high hopes for the place food wise. Maybe it just wasn t the best night. Hopefully better experience if we try again.

Very classy and nice restaurant. However it is very pricy and there are a ton of people around dinner time. Decently fast service but for the price I expected a little bit nicer. Overall the food was excellent and it had an incredible view but the service was average.

I had a flight to catch, they don't serve the whole menu all day. I sat in the bar area and they were nice enough to let me order from the full menu. The view was very nice and the staff very attentive.

Probably the best views of any restaurant in Anchorage. The halibut was in season while I was there and was probably the best I've ever had. I asked to have it a bit raw on the inside and they served it perfectly. The tomatoe & pea risotto was excellent as well. Bartender served up local info, great beer and cocktails. The bar itself is something to behold.

I was hesitant to get the king crab. The cost is pricey but the meal is worth it. I didn't think I would fill up on a pound and a half of king crab but I did. Our guy tonight was Barry. He made our night very special. It was a limited menu. I do wish the crab came with a salad or another item aside from potatoes. Also, if you have never had key lime pie now is the time to try it. We will definitely be back for more than just our anniversary.

We went here for a date night last night after months of wanting to go there. We had heard many great things about this place and ended up being very disappointed. We were very disappointed with our food. First off, even though we had made reservations, we did not get a window seat we asked for and the hostess said there were no seats available. For appetizers we ordered the smoked salmon spread. It was not very appetizing at all, and we both love smoked salmon. It ended up being taken off of our bill. Also ordered the Caesar salad which had way too much dressing with old salad. For dinner we ordered the ribs with Cole slaw, sweet potato fries, and Mac and cheese. They gave us obviously burned fries so we had to ask for new ones, which never came. The Cole slaw looked and tasted horrible. Even the Mac and cheese was terrible. The ribs weren't very appetizing at all either. We asked for less sauce, and it was so sweet and had too much sauce on. We Also ordered the filet mignon that comes with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We had received the wrong order from the waiter, and then when I got my order, it was over cooked and very over seasoned and dry, it tasted like cheap beef jerkey. The potatoes were way too salty and so was the asparagus. We didn't even eat the steak or potatoes, and the waiter didn't even bother to ask what was wrong with it. Very disappointed with the $45 steak that is supposedly one of Simon and seafort's specialties. When commenting to the waiter about our experience, he talked to his manager and they offered to buy back the steak from us and offered free dessert on the house, which we both declined. He also told us to write a review online. Having already paid for our dinner and wanting to leave, we did not want to accept their offer of buying back the steak. Overall, we were very disappointed with the quality of food and the service. We would not recommend going here, we paid too much for terrible food. And we will not be trying the restaurant again.

This restaurant was disappointing. The food is great and all, but there is better food in Anchorage for less money. What bothered me most was that this place advertises itself as a fancy, fine-dining restaurant, but it's like eating in a huge, open ballroom. There's nothing date night about this restaurant. It's loud, way too bright, and the tables are very close together. If you come here, come here for the food if you have lots of money to blow. If you want a romantic date, there are better places with better food for cheaper.

This review is exclusively for take out: clam chowder. I can t speak for the dine in experience.

All we ordered was clam chowder soup, and it was good, but for the price, prepare to be disappointed. It was the size of a single ladle; enough for only a few spoonfuls.

Amazing amazing amazing. Made a reservation for our wedding anniversary, not only were we seated right away, but at the table there was a happy anniversary card and little bits of ribbon. Everything from the cocktails to dessert was mouthwatering and to die for, and for being a fancy restaurant the prices were really very good. I highly recommend and we will he going again

Making reservations here doesn't really matter you...

Making reservations here doesn't really matter you will still have to wait like 40ish minutes before getting seated. Food to price is not worth it, its not top quality so the portions should be larger or at least better quality to justify the price. I don't go here unless its someone else's pick, this place is just a tourists trap. Waiters are nice, but service is slow here. For 2 people about 4 hours, if you get dinner and dessert.
