Went here for brunch. Service was fantastic, Natasha was very attentive. Had the seafood scramble. Salmon was a bit dry, potatoes were basic. Bit surprised for 20 bucks. Views were amazing. The place has no signage, it's at the bottom of a three story office building.

Had dinner there this last Saturday and I ve went back and forth about leaving a review since I ve worked in the restaurant scene and I try to be understanding of all the things that can go wrong when going out to eat but my experience here was awful and I ll never be back. Reservation was for 8 and we waited for twenty minutes which isn t awful, but the 15 minutes we waited at our table after with no greeting or even a look from the many servers who had walked by was unacceptable. When we finally got greeted it was a rushed woman who told us our server Jason would be with us shortly. Moments later we hear her ask Jason to stop by our table and he very loudly says he doesn t have time for anyone else and trots off. Again, it s a rush and probably understaffed but to hear that and still not have our order taken 20 minutes in isn t ok. A server stopped by to get drinks and food put in and ten minutes later she comes back and tells us she s lost our food ticket and needs our order one more time. It s now almost 9 and we haven t even gotten out order in. The calamari was barely cooked and tasteless. The chicken was dry and the chefs choice of veggies to go with mashed potatoes was potatoes. We got our food from a food runner and didn t see any server again until we asked for the box and the check. The whole time I was looking around the place to see if other tables were being treated like this but I didn t see that. The servers looked at my young wife and myself and assumed we wouldn t tip well and we weren t worth the same energy as the other guests. I ll never recommend this place again.

My husband and I decided to dress up and have a romantic dinner here for Valentine's Day. What an epic mistake. We paid 200.00 for average food, a cold, unsmiling waitress (rude!) and a noise level that meant we had to shout. We must have said, "What?!" and "Huh?!" about a million times. What a shame that such a potentially nice restaurant is so seriously outclassed by an evening at The Outback.
I completely agree that McDonald's would have been a better choice.

OMG. I took my wife here for our 2nd anniversary and we enjoyed every second of our visit here. We had reservations at 6. Showed up 5 mins before 6. Immediately greeted and welcomed by the Hostess. Sat down at a very convenient location with an excellent view of the bay. Then we were welcomed by a very friendly and knowledgeable server. He was entertaining and kind. Two traits we dont see together too often while seated at a restaurant. The food and beverages came and were savored to the tip. The scallops were cooked to perfection, risotto was very nice. My wife enjoyed their chicken and was very happy overall. 5 stars for our experience
And if I could, I'd give the tall Male server a star of his own for his excellent service and our tip reflected it generously. Be back soon. Thank you for an excellent experience on my 2nd anniversary with my wife, and our two children. Many many thanks!

Beautiful 5 star meal. Fantastic views. Have to look hard as a tourist to find it. Only a small sign out front of what appears as a commercial building. Obviously well known to loc as is. Worth searching for and finding.

Exceptional halibut cheeks. The finest pieces of fish I have eaten in 5 years, if not longer. Everything was great, the service, the food and local beers. The server was attentive and knowledgeable, and his recommendation of the halibut cheeks was outstanding. I'll be eating here again when I next return to Anchorage

The food, water views and excellent service.

The food, water views and excellent service.
Great for large parties.
Come early if you want the best water view seating.
My friend and I split halibut cheeks, perfectly prepared wild Alaska salmon.
The fresh crab and spinach dip was devoured by my travel companion.
Our wonderful waiter gave my friend a complimentary baked Alaska.
Why ?
He is a parapalegic who drove the entire round trip drive from Vancouver B.C., Canada to Anchorage Alaska and back.
Quite an accomplishment.
This very popular restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska, and the perfect location to celebrate.

We had to send back my daughters wine glass on two occasions (back to back)because it was dirty on the inside & then outside with water sludge hardened on the glass. It was ridiculous. I felt we were being rushed to order & our waitress never introduced herself.

As we came in town 2 separate people recommended this local restaurant. They did not steer us wrong. Anchorage is a casual town and nothing we have seen is cheap. A upscale experience at a very good value. Food is amazing and the service is spot on with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Every place we have been in Alaska has people who genuinely like what they do and go out of their way to please.

This use to be a go to place any time I visited Anchorage. Its unfortunate that the quality of the food is reduced from what it once was. On this particular visit the dinning room was infused with smoke (not in a good way) from the grill and my guess is exhaust vans not properly working. All that said the view is great. Hope this place reaches the standard it once had.

Have only been once, but it was an extremely memorable experience. Got a great table overlooking the harbor and the service was extremely attentive and courteous. Went with the family and all of us were able to get something we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant is on the more expensive side of what I personally spend on food, but was well worth it and certainly made for a special occasion.

I was looking forward to my favorite restaurant in Anchorage since I moved to the lower 48. Everything on their menu was always delicious. My husband and I went all the time. It was just not good this time. At first, I debated about the Prime Rib and Halibut. The waiter discouraged me on the Halibut. So I ordered the Prime Rib at $39. The mash potatoes were over mashed and gluey. The prime rib was dry and not tender. I wasn't pleased. My companion had to return her Salmon. It was dry and didn't look like a nice piece to begin with. I used to frequent this restaurant all the time many years ago. I think their has been a change in management overall. In the past, if you were unhappy with the meal it was comped. I only ate half my meal it was not good. The waiter did offer a dessert but it really didn't make me happy since I left half my dinner on the plate. I will be looking for another favorite restaurant until they improve their kitchen.

Went for dinner. Food was not very good at all. I had the $20 hamburger and the meat was very greasy and my bun was completely soggy. Wife has the halibut and her mashed potatoes were all crusty and tasted old. This was once a great place to go for dinner. They have slipped considerably.

Service was nice. The food was good but not tremendous. Around 40$ for a small portion of salmon. The waiter is asking how you want the fish to be cooked but none of the fillets were cooked according to our preferences.

Not interested in waiting for a table, we sauntered into the bar and quickly found a table near the bar with quite a lovely view...the primary reason we came. The Reindeer Alfredo was pretty good, whereas my other half thoroughly enjoyed one of their signature dishes, the Crab Stuffed Halibut...it was fantastic! The accompanying broccolini were outright horrible unfortunately and tasted of excessive salting, putting a slight damper on an otherwise lovely dish - which the polite waitress acknowledged and rectified immediately (good on her)! Pricing per quality of food was a bit disparate, but you're clearly paying for the view. All in all, left satisfied! Thanks!

Best,

Food in Alaska is pricey. As you will see, immediately. The food here is worth the price, and the atmosphere is very "Alaska." It's light very late in summer, so your dinner will likely be served in broad daylight. Go with it - it's Alaska.
