brought my dad here when he was coughing up blood ...

brought my dad here when he was coughing up blood because of his lung cancer. The halls smelled bad. the care was lacking. They kept my dad there until his insurance was used up and called an ambulance to move him to the Veterans Hospital in San Fernando Valley, CA. He passed away there several weeks later. Veterans Hospital treated him with tender loving care. I am still angry 35+ years later.

This ER is horrible. They treated me like a criminal, when I had done nothing wrong. I was so upset and angry and couldn t understand why they were holding me like this. The doctor never even asked if I had any medical issues, which I do, especially after having emergency abdominal surgery a lil over a week ago. They tried to say that I was saying things that I wasn t and telling me I had stuff in my system besides alcohol and treated me even worse. I haven t even had any pain meds in 5 days after having surgery. There was hardly any patients at this time and the waiting room was completely empty. But they proceeded to put me in a bed in the hall, wouldn t let me up, wouldn t let anyone in, threatened to restrain AND drug me if I were to get up. It was such a joke. Moral of my story, don t call 911 for help, and don t go to Simi hospital. They just made everything worse and did nothing to help me!

The best hospital! Nurses and CNA are the best, including laboratory, radiology, Occupational Therapy, food service, housekeeping, Dr Arora, pulmonologist, the best! So, glad God guided me to be here. They saved my life. Previous hospital misdiagnosis me. Came here and received the proper treatment for my serious health problem. I was admitted for a week with no visitors and I never felt like I was alone. The staff is beyond amazing.

With all s that s happening in our world today, this hospital has some not so pleasant staff!
I currently have a friend in for that past 3 weeks and observe staff with my many visits.
Yesterday there were no hand towels in her bathroom. With all the hand washing we do these days let alone standard bathroom use you would think they care about patient and public safety.
I told a nurse it was empty since she was in the room.
She barked housekeeping would have to deal with it. And walked off.3 hours later no one refilled. 7 hours later, no one refilled. This evening no one refilled..

There are so few patients in these days. Now housekeeping has been great. Nurses hmmm. We all have challenges now, but rudeness is not acceptable.
As we tried to eat lunch together we had to use our clothing to dry off after every use. Including the patient!
May sound trivial however kindness goes along way.
She has asked to use the bathroom as well, but was left forgotten and recalled them again 20 minutes later! Took another 15 minutes to have staff get her to that bathroom,..waiting 35 minutes to use bathroom was insane! She almost went in the bed!
As I left they were all cackling at the station..
Wake up empty hospital you have patients!
This was on floor 2 by the way at 11:00 am yesterday. Let s hope it s a better day today for patient and staff!

Thank you to the emergency room staff and doctors for being so kind. We were in and out in less then an hour. We also came right as the night shift was ending and the day shift was coming in. They didn t miss a beat! I came from out of town so you never know what to expect, we were ver pleasantly surprised.

It took me two weeks to fully digest what happened to me but now I understand how wrong the whole experience was. I reached this hospital at 2 am in active labor at 10 cm (fully dilated). The people in the reception were indifferent to my screams and asked for my name when in reality I could even speak from pain. When they finally did call the labor nurses to come for me, they took a very long time! Finally, one of the receptionist behind me (my angel) decided to take things to her own hands and ran with my wheelchair upstairs. Upon my arrival, the nurses confirmed that I was 10 cm dilated but didn t want me to push! When you re fully dilated you re supposed to push the baby out (my water already broke too!). Instead they insisted that I will breath while waiting for the doctor! I spent 30 -40 minutes breathing in deep pain (too late for epidural) because they were reluctant to deliver me! This decision tormented me, put my baby at risk, and was completely unprofessional! When my doctor finally arrive she urged me to push right away and the baby was out in no time!
I would like to spare nurse Whitney, a traveling nurse, and Laura from this rant since they were absolutely amazing but, unfortunately, not present during the delivery and I wish they were.

I brought my 90 year old mother in to the Emergency room here and I have never seen better quality care.

They truly are amazing angels. They are professional, compassionate, caring, skilled, polite, friendly, clean etc, etc.......... They're everything that you could ever want from a hospital.

This is the best hospital in California if not the world.

They gave my mother the best care in the world.

I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone.

It doesn't get any better than this.

My family and I had a several weeks stay at this hospital with my father before his passing in early 2020. Despite the fact that it was a life-changing experience for my family and I, I cannot recommend this hospital and their staff any more highly than is possible.

Everybody from the janitor, to the nurses and the doctors were extraordinary attentive and accommodating, and very sympathetic to our situation even though my family and myself were uninformed as to how grave my father s condition was.

Hopefully, you, your family or significant other will not have to be at a hospital for a long time if ever, but if you do, rest assured you are in good care at this one.

I am new to the area and had previously gone to other hospitals for over 40 years that are very popular due to their high profile and publicity. I needed to visit the ER for some serious health concerns I had and at the same time concerned about exposure to Covid. Since this hospital was closest to me I came to the ER. I was impressed on the thorough intake and care staff had. The hospital is very clean and well presented and I felt safe and welcomed. My visit became a stay for several days and I am very impressed at the hospitals appearance , cleaning staff, nurses, doctors, thorough follow up, information for each step, food, and care I received. I will now make this my go to hospital if I need it. I want to congratulate owners and management for their excellent work as leaders. I was impressed by every single employees service and knowledge and even the newer nurse staff just hired was amazing. This shows me the detail and time spent hiring as well as the staff training to be superb and of high quality. Thank you for making my negative health problem manageable with your quality of service and care. It is much appreciated.
