I had the pleasure of working with Al at Simba Productions last March. We were stuck with the challenge of finding with a quiet and discreet place to interview Steve Martin for an interview in our film. The Simba crew was amazing, very knowledgeable, inventive and just down right terrific to work with. Al is such a warm guy he really makes you feel at home when you meet him. Martin had his own makeup person, and she was able to set up in a nearby room, while we rigged up lighting next door. I love my own crew, but I might seriously just hire the Simba folks the next time I am working in New York for location or studio work.

The day of the shoot went very smoothly. The production manager/director was prepared with all the shots that were required and was meticulous in making sure we got the right shot for each take.
Having a team of people at the shoot made all the difference! You really do need a seperate person focused on audio, video, direction, photography and teleprompter. Don't be fooled otherwise!
The editing process was seamless too! The production team was happy to work with us on changes to the story board and also threw in animation effects and sound tracks.
The question to always ask is: Would you hire this Simba again? And the answer is a definitive YES! We did, and will continue to do so.

We hired Simba Productions to shoot a local video for us in July. For New York City, their price was reasonable. We were amazed by their diligence in communication, and the proposal Albert sent over prior to us hiring them. On the day of the shoot, there were some miscommunication with our client in which they showed up almost an hour late. Not only did the Simba team wait patiently outside at 7 am, they didn't complain, were still friendly and professional towards our client, and finished everything they had promised to do even with the shortage in time. We were amazed with how well they handled the situation. After the shoot, they were quick in providing us our content on Dropbox, and even took the extra time and effort to explain to us what everything is. They event went the extra mile to separate some clips for our client in a new Dropbox link as per our request. We really appreciated your help, and will be sure to hire Simba if we ever need to shoot another video in NYC! Well done!

Simba Productions is amazing! I was looking for a production company that would help me film and edit a comedic music video. I stumbled across Simba's website when I did a google search for production companies in NYC. When I saw the quality of work that they produced on their website, I knew that I wanted them to work with me on my video but didn't know if I'd be able to afford their services. I sent an inquiry via the submission form on their website with my estimated budget and video idea. Not only did they reply promptly, but they were more than willing to try to accommodate my project and work with me on a tight budget. I went to office in person to hatch out the idea, talk budget more specifically and to meet with the editor who would potentially be working on my project. The meeting was so awesome. They showed me more samples of other comedic music videos, they started planning ideas with me for the shoot and I could tell that they were genuinely interested making my project amazing. They were prompt in getting me an invoice, they helped me solidify the dates and locations for the filming and they kept in close correspondence with me for the pre production process. When we filmed, they were willing to stick to the script I had but also had the flexibility to deviate from the script when fun ideas came to mind on set. The shoot went so smoothly and the staff was very professional and friendly. The staff also kept in close correspondence with me during the post production and editing process. Any suggestion or change I had, was accommodated and done in a prompt manner. I am very pleased with Simba Productions and I couldn t have been more pleased with the way everything went! Simba is very professional, highly skilled team, experts in their field. They create quality videos from pre- production through to editing. We have worked with them on our customer video testimonials, sales conference videos, and a few other projects. In my previous role at another company I worked with them on a full day of in-house video production training for our marketing team, Joe and Enge A came in to our offices and were extremely helpful and patient.
The team is usually able to turn around projects quickly, but I would suggest that maybe they add a few more people to the team, perhaps admins and/or editing interns, so that if some of the team is out on all-day shoots there is more support. They are a nice group of people to work with and Albert always try to make sure the client is happy - he even had someone on their team hand deliver a USB of footage we needed when UPS failed.
I highly recommend using their services for video production or training.
