I have just joined and am totally in awe at the difference from my previous plan.
These people have customer care representatives that are really pretty terrific people who are very well trained and know how to satisfy you. I had a special need and the lady dealt with it in a matter of minutes compared to being transferred to "someone else" all around the world.
I have really become very quickly very satisfied and am very happy to be part of Careplus.

My name Martietta Gomez 10-08-1943 ........... For the first time I need to attend to find out the blood found in my exam, My doctor recommended Internal medicine inside the building the doctor sent my cardiologist Dr. Frachesca ... and she asked me to do a stress test, To be able to authorize me to do a COLONOLOGY. The place and first the appointment with Dr. Augustine Alfonso ... a month later, for my luck I got sick and I had to cancel the appointment myself. Then they didn't want to accept me and in that office they told me they couldn't waste time with me ............ Horrible !! the Referral expired and I spoke with Dr. Franchesca and gave me another referral .. Finally after several months I had my appointment with the same office of Dr. Alfonso ........... how I emtoco my turn they entered an office and I ivana ingested in the vein. I did not leave them. I did not expect it and I am allergic to that practice. NOBODY EXPLAINED ME. I just believed it was a test of stera ............ they in the office were enraged and told me that it was your fault for Not having explained anything to me. They didn't even take my pulse there. Nothing !!!!! and they told me THAT THEY WERE GIVING CAREPLUS A SERVICE .. all this out loud and very badly educated !!! Already I went to my cardiologist's assistant .. there at the Clinic she checked OR the order of LA DRA. FOR Tess and just said a Stress TEst ...... I do not understand what this is all about. For me a tremendous headache and very worried ... it has been three or four months since I found blood in the stool. .......... CAN I RESOLVE THIS ??????????????? In my opinion, lack of professionalism and attention to members. They are not well organized, medicines without a prescription, you can ask for them and sit down to wait! This is way below other health insurance

CarePlus medicare advantage plans have excellent d...

CarePlus medicare advantage plans have excellent doctors and prescription plans. But, their medical transportion services suck! They are either a hour late for pick up or don't show at all. Because transportation is part of the plan this reflects badly on CarePlus. I am giving them 2.5 stars out of 5 stars.

For my medicines, in this plan, I had to pay high copays, while in the previous plan I only paid $ 5.00 for just one. I never received the card that identified me as a member of the plan. For me, it has been the worst health plan where I have been.

Televisits that they promise are poorly executed. You spend lots of time on voice mail, then they tell you someone will call you back within 48 hours in order to set appointment for televisit. Then you have to wait more time for appointment. Also, they disconnected me from voice mail and I had to call back . Waste of time

Absolutely the worst health care plan in South Florida. The staff is absolutely incompetent and the red tape for authorizations is endless. The objective seems to be that they stall until the patient and doctor just give up. The hold time when calling has gotten increasingly longer and today my doctor's office advised that they just didn't have time to wait on the phone for CarePlus to finally answer. Much of the provider information is not available on their website and when you call and request the information, they are unable to even provide a reliable list of qualifying offices in my area.

This plan is not formatted for an individual with healthcare needs. You ll REGRET it if you enroll in this plan. They are blatantly deceptive, they issue directives denying the most basic healthcare needs, then they lie about who gave the directive-they ll tell you it was your doctor. They falsely report how much you have paid for medication, so they can avoid paying even the smallest portion, & they will not pay or contribute a dime to generic, non-narcotic meds., but they will pay for narcotic opiates. Do we not have an opioid crisis in this country? Their offers for O.T.C. Meds. @ no cost to you, are falsely advertised. Then they make all sorts of promises about reimbursement, but no forms are ever sent. And ironically enough, you don t get to speak with the same person that made those promises, b/c they re not available, when you call back to follow-up. But they were surely available when a formal complaint was made to Medicare. They called 2 days later-to save their skins, a process that can take up to 30 days. I calculated the time & money I have spent since January. I would be healthier, not have massive debt & I would not feel demoralized if I had just kept my Medicare without this H.M.O. Now I have to stop taking all meds. & I m preparing myself for a very painful & traumatic 5 months until I can dis-enroll from this nightmare.

I have to reiterate what another reviewer said. My Dad has CarePlus and it has served him well in many respects, but the medical transport is a nightmare. The first time they brought the wrong patient back!!! The second time they never pick him up from dialysis (!!!) and my sister has to drive over there late at night. The third time (today) they never picked him up to bring him to dialysis (!!!) and I had to rush him over. To top it off, the local dispatcher I spoke to(a woman with a thick Hispanic accent) was the single rudest customer service rep I have ever spoken to in my life. I would advise consumers to consider CarePlus if you're pretty sure you will never need medical transport while you're covered. Otherwise, run away.

**Edited to add: I wrote this yesterday while my Dad was in dialysis. During that time I spent two hours on the phone with Careplus arranging his transportation schedule (the schedule we had previously arranged had disappeared), asking why they didn't show for his pickup (didn't get a clear answer), and making sure they knew to pick him up from dialysis that night. Did they show up that night? Of course not! After waiting for twenty minutes on hold, the rep told me that the transporters wanted to know what kind of transportation he needed -- something I had told them when I scheduled the pickup, not something you ask when a customer calls you thirty minutes after your pickup time. I've now given up on CarePlus Transportation and will have to stay with my Dad until he can drive himself, even though I really need to get back to my home in Virginia where I live and work. I've talked to medical workers at various facilities and they say that CarePlus is infamous for their negligent, flaky transportation (one Doctor told me they call the company "Care-Less").

The other "change" that happened since I wrote a review is someone from CarePlus took the time to advise me to call them about my problems. This is not really for me so much as those of you reading these reviews, because CarePlus already knows I and my family have already spent eight hours haggling on the phone with their reps so that we may elicit the following results:

Six transports scheduled for three dialysis sessions (one transport to and one from). After spending eight hours on phone to obtain six transports we get the following results:
a) Three no call/no shows from transport
b) One transport of wrong patient, with me literally walking into the room as they are about to put wrong patient into my Dad's bed.
c) Two actual successful transports, where transporters show up and take the right patient to the right destination.

Worse service ever waiting for more than 3 hours ask for administrators and both out to lunch as well!!! No one to talk to or hear a complain. They need to get their act together. Definitely looking for another Medicare advantage.
