Silver Valley Propane Review

I rarely, if ever write reviews, however this one certainly warrants one. I have known Larry for nearly thirty years back when he had built our house when he was partners with Art with Silver Valley Builders. We worked well with Art and Larry and were quite satisfied with the quality of their work.
A few years later, Larry came to us and asked if we good support his new propane company by switching over to Silver Valley Propane. We were happy to help and made the switch. Larry came to us shortly thereafter and asked if we could prepay for the gas to help with their cash flow, which we agreed to do. Larry has come to us on several other occasions and had asked for prepays to again assist with their cash flow. We had been quite happy to help out whenever he had asked.
Just recently I sold my property in the high desert after thirty years, and reached out to Silver Valley Propane to assist in the switching over from my account to the new owners. I had requested that they credit my account with the propane (which had just been filled) and bill the new owner.
After several requests, with no action from Silver Valley Propane, I had placed calls to Larry. No Response. I left numerous messages with the staff at Silver Valley, and they assured me that Larry would get the message. It has now been over 3 months and it has been crickets .
One would think that after a 30-year business relationship and numerous accommodations on my side whenever they requested a favor, that they would at least have the decency to return a call. But NO! VERY Disappointing! So, it appears that when they are in need of a favor, they are quite accommodating, however the first time they are asked for assistance to accommodate someone else, it is quite a different story! You might consider this story when you choose a company to do business with!

Never had a problem with this company I remember the guy who came to my door great customer service he sold me to there company.
Until the lady in the office in Apple valley decides to be rude not once but a few times, I dont have time for he said she said situations so we decided to look somewhere else.
We called them told them u can pick up ur tank we went with someone else lets see how this new ppl turn out

Great Company! I have lived in Yucca Valley for more than 3 decades and have done business with several of the local companies and came to believe that Propane companies were problematic and had poor customer related practices. A friend here in Yucca recommended Silver Valley about a year ago and they have been excellent in every way...great staff, terrific customer service and good pricing. Everyone I have dealt with was likeable and helpful and considerate. Great Company!

The company stole a tank I purchased when I bought my home. They said they leased it to the previous real estate agent. When I told them I would need to verify they said they would break my fence down. I spoke with a manager who said they would not do that. A few days later they dismantled my automatic gates and stole the tank while I was not home. My wife and I feel violated.

I looked further down on these reviews and saw the owner "nathan" had replied. I called nathan to discuss this and realized it was the same guy who said he would not break into the property a few days before.

He tried to bully and threaten me using penal codes not knowing I am in law enforcement. The man is a crook.

I will update after the court case settles.

If I could give them zero stars, I would... We have been loyal customers for over FIVE years!! We recently moved into a new house. Immediately, we started having issues with the gauge on the new propane tank that we lease from them. We blew threw $200 of propane in 10 days (11/30/19- 12/10/19). I had them come out to check the system because something did not seem right. They claimed to have fixed the gauge, gave us a $50 credit, and called it good. We put another $200 in the tank on 12/11/19 and this time, we were checking the gauge every few days to make sure that we didn't blow threw it as quickly. On Saturday 1/4/20, our heater stopped working and we had a faint smell of gas in the house. I checked the tank and it read 22%. A few hours later (same day), I checked the tank again and it read 0%. I called Silver Valley thinking we had a leak. The after hours exchange told me they'd send someone right out. I got a call from the driver, Mario, an hour later stating that he knew exactly which house we lived in and that you have to tap the gauge on the tank to get an accurate reading because it gets frozen. I explained to Mario that it was near 70 degrees outside and that it definitely was not "frozen". Furthermore, didn't you guys JUST come out for this same reason a few weeks ago?! Nonetheless, I asked him to come out to deliver since we were completely out of propane, we have two small children, no heater, and no hot water. He said they were closed till Monday and that we'd have to call and schedule a delivery then....RIDICULOUS...
Even more ridiculous, it is Tuesday, I still have not called to schedule a delivery due to funds and they came onto my property today while I was at work, without permission or notifying us, and took their tank. WHAT A JOKE!!! This is how you treat your loyal customers???
I have called a different propane provider, and they will be at my house tomorrow to deliver a functioning tank/gauge and will be charging us $1.60 LESS per gallon than what we recently paid with Silver Valley.

So happy I switched to Silver Valley! For over 30 years we were paying way too much for propane. Silver Valley has great prices and perks for signing up. Wonderful customer service! Oscar made some helpful suggestions that saved me even more money in transferring over to Silver Valley. Armando was great! He was very efficient in his service when he came out to install the tank and carefully explained everything. He even helped to move a heavy piece of furniture for me because he is so kind!

I have been a silver valley propane customer for years. I've worked with Nathan multiple times and he is always the absolute best. Very knowledgeable, very kind, and always willing to go the extra mile. I'm pretty sure this is a veteran owned company as well. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for service. Great prices and always fair.

We got our new house in Lucerne set up with SVP. These guys are the top guys for propane in the high desert. Extremely quick delivery, very knowledgeable and passionate about propane. I forget the dudes name but he was like a Mexican Hank Hill. If your in the high desert don t waste your time or money anywhere else.

Great propane company, unfortunately there's always those Karen's and Kevin's that are not happy with anything, as far as my experience has been, they are knowledgeable, courteous and have great customer service unlike other BIG companies.

Been with Silver Valley for over 10 years. I remember when they first hooked up my tank I reported smelling propane in my house and they came out , found and fixed the leak which they didnt have to do and at no charge. Been nothing but pleasant ever since. They bring propane and I call and have my card on file so easy pay. They also deliver to my place of business 10 tanks a week for forklifts.Theyre big enough to handle an industrial call but small town friendly for home delivery as well with their prices. Would recommend them to anyone.
