Incredible place for Executive Human Resources Conference. Attended the annual conferences in early July for a number of years. Including the 75th anniversary conference. They must be coming up on the 100th anniversary conference within the next several years. It was so peaceful, and a great setting for learning.

Very scenic and friendly, but event staff are not knowledgeable enough yet to handle a wedding on their own. Bring your own wedding coordinator and have people who can check the work and watch your venue at all times.

It's absolutely beautiful here, especially in the fall when all the leaves are changing colours. The food was surprisingly good with a lot of different options including a salad bar, any drink you could possibly desire, and a variety of cakes for dessert. This venue is good for families, corporate groups, conferences, school groups, weddings, and just about any other event. The rooms in the main building are quaint but include everything you need. Hot water and WiFi! There are many buildings with sleeping quarters in order to suit any size of group. There are a number of facilities on the property including a gym, tennis courts, a beach, volleyball courts, and equipment rentals such as kayaks. Overall I had a fantastic weekend here and would definitely recommend it for a getaway!

Situated on beautiful and historic Lake George, New York, the Main Inn and "Dirty Dancing" warehouse style rooming houses and cabins at Silver Bay YMCA can accommodate up to 200+ people. There is plenty to do here at this resort and conference centre and the buffet food is very good. A wonderful place for a summer getaway but bring good walking shoes.

We had a family reunion here and it the best place we could have spent time at. The have something for everyone to do. Swimming, boating, crafts and the campus is a beautiful mix of old and new. I loved it!

Been traveling across the country for at least 25 years to come one week each summer for family camp. 2nd generation. Lots to do or relax and read on the porch rockers looking at the beautiful lake and mountains. Boating, archery, fitness, water color, craft shop, lectures, spiritual life talks, community. Great place that brings people back time and again.

I've been coming here every summer for almost 20 years. Silver Bay is a home away from home for me. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation or new family tradition.

We love this place and visiting with several other families has become an annual tradition for the better part of a decade now. So many fun things to do in such a picturesque landscape! I docked it a star since most places on campus are not air conditioned and this year we were there during a heat wave, which made it far less enjoyable. Otherwise, it's a favorite place to vacation and only a 4 hr drive from our home in NYC!

Beautiful inn and grounds set in the Adirondacks on Lake George. So much to do, too little time. Staff are so great. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Most activities are included in the price.

My family - ages 4 - 74 - has loved being together at Silver Bay. There is something for every one in a beautiful and friendly setting. We plan to revisit every year as long as it is possible.

Great place to stay! But I was a bit of annoyed by the poor wifi connectivity here. Even though the signal strength is strong in the main building, you still cannot access the internet sometimes, and there is nearly no wifi coverage over my room so if you won't have business to deal with, or you are not a T-Mobile user, you should be fine.

We stayed in Butternut while at Silver Bay. DO NOT stay in that building! They really should have photos of interiors of the buildings online so you know what you are renting. Butternut has bugs everywhere including ones that bite in the middle of the night. The 1970's trundle bed doesn't work and I personally can't see how 4 people occupying this space isn't a fire code violation. The building is two roughly 10 x 10 rooms with a small bathroom and galley kitchen. There is nowhere to eat or sit except on the bed. If we stayed in one of the newer buildings I'm sure the stars would be higher but we didn't know what we were renting.

On the plus side, Silver Bay itself is like living in a Norman Rockwell painting. There are all kinds of activities to do like sailing, ice cream eating, dodgeball, yoga, tennis, etc... and there is wi-fi throughout the camp. It is the perfect place for an active family to relax and get away from it all.

Wonderful family retreat and conference center on the bank of Lake George with very comprehensive and diverse activity itinerary, including spiritual, water sports, archery, tennis and others. Something for the whole family.

It would be a full five stars if not for the food. While I found the food lacking, the campus and facilities were utterly stunning (I stayed in the Boyd Center). The accommodations and views around the property were so scenic and lovely, and the conference room my team had their meeting in was excellent. Would love to go back in the summer or fall.

Went for a conference in April 2018. Beautiful grounds, beautiful scenery. Rooms are small but quaint but what do you expect from an almost 200 year old building? Ongoing renovations created some confusion on arrival, but nothing to dock any stars. My only complaint is the food. Included in your rate, the food is bland at best. For some R&R...this place is it!!

A treasure and landmark destination in the Adirondack Lake George region. Perfect for groups, weddings and family R&R. The lake is so beautiful and the facilities at Silver Bay are always great.

Beautiful grounds, and so much fun stuff to do. Historic and lovely. The only reason for 3 stars is 1) no air conditioning in the rooms. We were there the first week in July and the heat was pretty unbearable. Although from my understanding it is not usually this hot. They do provide fans so that is some help. 2) One of the senior staff at the boat house was very rude to us, telling us we needed to return the paddle boats because other guests were waiting. We had signed them out for an hour (with permission from staff)and had only been out on them for 25 minutes. I would give them 5 stars if it weren't for these two complaints.

Silver Bay is a wonderful place for a family reunion, wedding, church retreat, or even a business conference. I highly recommend it as a destination for your next vacation. In the summer season you can enjoy hiking, archery, swimming and boating on Lake George, creating in an artisan craft shop, and much more.

A place to step back in time & soak in nature's beauty. This place has been a YMCA camp since 1901, has refreshing character in some of the old buildings like the basketball building (did you know basketball was invented in a YMCA?). Now there's also a beautiful new dining hall with hotel style rooms & conference space above, designed in keeping with its Adirondack setting. And don't miss a visit to the stately gray stone chapel.

Had an awesome time great place to relax and very peaceful. The food was not the best at times during my stay but I still had a great time. Loved my hike to inspiration point.

I loved this places we were there for an event with the Salvation Army and for the 4 days we were there the staff was great, the food was good and the provided lots of things to do in our free time. The next time I come though I am going to get a private bathroom that was the only difficult thing.

One of the most beautiful places you will ever visit. Lake George has clean, clear water, in some parts you can see upto 12 feet down. The forests, the hills, and the animal life come together so well and make a stay here one of a kind. The people are warm, kind, and eager to help one experience Silver Bay at it's best. If you are looking for a place to where you can relax and heal physically, mentally, and spiritually, then Silver Bay is the place for you.

Very disappointed in my stay here. We planned our youth church trip here in January, arriving in June we traveled two days by bus and arrived to find they were unprepared for our stay. They were understaffed and unenthusiastic to see us. One girl however, Carissa, greeted us warmly. The other staff informed us that we could not swim because they had not provided a lifeguard, and many other activities were not available for us... even though we paid for them. We put a lot of money towards this trip through volunteering and fundraising, to only be greeted by lazy and rude staff. Staff gives no effort to provide a fun, safe trip and are more concerned with themselves. Don't stay here.

The place overall is nice but the Hebron is the worst ever. The rooms are dirty holes in the wall looks like it hasn t been updated since 1940 and bloodstains on the pillows. If you want to enjoy your experience then don t get a room in Hebron but I haven t seen the rest of the cabins so I can t tell about those but the views are nice and the place is well kept and mostly modern. Needs a few updates. (HEBRON)

Renovations are well done and the facilities are clean. The new food service this year is poor. As in the old joke, it wasn't very good and there wasn't enough of it. Anything that was good ran out before our group had finished arriving for a meal. If I were only evaluating the kitchen, I would have given it a two at best.
