Very informative tour. I like how Sierra Nevada is owned by Ken and is not a big corporate company. I like how his company is so GREEN. I love how everything is recycled. Most of all, I love the beer! Still the best IMHO!

Interesting tour, and they have all sorts of different tours to meet everyone's needs. Beer samples at the end is also a bonus! Plus the restaurant has great food. Wings and vampire fries were our favorite. They also have a nice outdoor area to drink and play games.

Really enjoyed my visit. I started off with the beer tour. After a brief history of the brewery and the founder we went into the brewery and learned about the brewing process. The highlight being a visit to the hop storage area where you can feel and smell the hops straight off the bale before they are sent into the brewing process. After a quick taste of their flagship and seasonal brews, we stopped by the restaurant for a beer and cheese pretzel, as well as some salad and meatloaf. Some of the ingredients even come from the estate! Even though Serria Nevada isn't usually my go-to choice for beer, having it fresh on-site is an awesome experience.

Worst dining experience ever!! Actually non-dining experience-my husband got so disgusted-he threw his napkin on the table & we walked out We were sat a a tiny 2 person table on the edge of the row where my husband was jostled several times. My steak was raw-I ordered medium-rare-sent it back, still had not appeared again after 15 minutes (guess it was well done by then!) -my husband never got his beer to go with his meal-mainly because our waiter was too engrossed ogling some women's breasts spilling out of her shirt for a least 15 minutes (not my observation, but my husband's) & despite my husband walking over to the waiter to ask for the beer, it never showed up.Terrible service & lack of caring! Never again!

Never fails to have a good time at Sierra Nevada brewery! I went on their brewery tour and learned a lot about their process and philosophy. Definitely worth the time, and it s free so it s definitely worth the money with a few samples at the end even!

Mecca for beer lovers

Mecca for beer lovers
After 7 years in Scotland I developed a love of real ale.
My first visit to Chico and we tasted 12 beers.
The session IPA was fantastic and only 4.5%.
Also the.nitro ungassed ale fantastic, very much like Guinness in Dublin.
Very good pub food. I had the sausages and in-house made mustards... what else
Felt quite European and a very worthwhile trip.
All beers very well made, clean, bright and well hopped.

The brewery has an enormous tap room. The mass produced beers are good. But they always have a much better selection of their unique and interesting beer on tap here than you can find in stores.

Not sure what they make their bbq sauce out of but it's horrible. It was stewed tomato paste with chunks of onion. Maybe their attempt at being different? Tasted like what you'd make swiss steak out of. The ribs were definitely not worth $23, at all. The ribs were still cold in the center from when they pulled them out of the fridge to re heat on the grill. You can buy their beer cheaper at other local restaurants I'm also really confused how that's even possible but their beer prices are ridiculous. Also, for some reason the entire place smelt like crotchy fish. I enjoy seafood and good fish but the way the dining room smelt was almost enough for us to leave. It was very off putting the entire time. Used to like going here but after tonight's meal I don't know if I'll be going back.

This is our go to date night dinner spot. Even when it's busy we don't mind waiting, because when we do get our table, we never feel rushed to leave. Whether we're just having a few appetizers, or a full meal, we can sit and enjoy ourselves as long as we'd like. The food is amazing, much of it is locally grown, and it all has their beers incorporated into it. If you're looking for a place to have few beers, a nice romantic dinner, or a large party, they've got you covered.

Usually I feel that Sierra Nevada has good food. But had a poor quality experience last night with my two nephews. First their salmon is not wild, it s farmed which is really anti-environmental. Second the steak pasta I had was supposed to have cream sauce but it was just a soupy mess. All kinds of ingredients were thrown in and mixed up so they created an indiscriminate concoction. Then I heard the gentleman At the next table ask for a child size macaroni and cheese. The waiter informed him that if it wasn t for a child he would have to double the price for an adult. What a racket. Have they changed management? Certainly seems like they ve change the quality of food and services.

Best brewery tour I have ever been on and I have toured many breweries across the country. Very well done Ken. Your people and place are top notch just like your beer. This stop was one of many on our cross country drive. If you are anywhere near northern California I recommend going out of your way for this visit. I didn't have time to go to their restaurant but I will make it back some day and make more time.

Not a bad spot to eat. Good food. Halibut was good (especially since I'm from S.L.O. Town), though gotta admit the Narwhal wasn't very good. I'm more of a Guiness man, so truthfully the Narwhal wasn't on point fellas sorry. Just my opinion. But other then that. FOOD WAS GOOD.

This was the best brewery tour you can do. It is worth paying the money and getting a backstage tour. If your a fan of Sierra Nevada then this is for you. It will bring a tear to your eye, because I know it did for me. Perfect to bring your significant other or family. Just a great time to learn and be in awe.

Atmosphere = A

Atmosphere = A
Beers = B+
Service = D+
Food = C
Overall value = C+

Food was bland and service sucked. Food expensive, low value. Beers good, not as good as I remember. Sad. Not worth it, won't be back. Sierra Nevada Brewery has sold out and lost their way.

The free tour was very educational. If we had more time we would definitely try the other more in depth tours. The beer was fresh and delicious as expected from the source and very inexpensive no novelty mark up all which shows how awesome the company is and that they care about the customer. I was never a big Sierra drinker before because I wanted to support the smaller breweries but their history and business model changed my opinion for sure.

Great beer, tours, atmosphere, and pretty decent food. Sierra Nevada is a great place to visit if you haven't been before. Make sure to visit the gift shop to pick up some exclusive beers before you leave.
