Great atmosphere and fast service. Great beers (as expected). Fish and chips were very average. Must see when in Chico and highly recommend their other location near Asheville, NC.

Nice tour. Interesting history. Like all the copper kettles & other equipment used to brew Sierra Nevada beer.

This place is just amazing, the food and the beer (especially the beer). Do yourself a favor, just go on the tour (it's totally free), and have dinner here. Yes it's busy, but totally worth the wait. The food is fresh, local, and ever-changing. You'll appreciate the beer so much more after a tour too.

The food was good but there was a limited menu. Definitely a place to try all the different beers offered. Walking outside you smell the unique yeasty smell of beer being brewed.

This place was great! Beautiful, clean, and the food was delicious. As for the beer, there is nothing quite like Sierra Nevada beer. Two thumbs up! I will be coming back!

The tour of the brewery was great! Lasted about 45 minutes and ended with a beer tasting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Would definitely do the tour again, maybe even the Beer Geek, 4 hour version.

I did security there back in 97. They lied to my boss trying to get me fired. I will NEVER drink their swill as long as I live!

Not ever being there before I was not sure what to expect. But after asking a couple people we figured it out. We went out back to avoid the 45 min wait on the inside. But they did have heaters out back. Chico people are super friendly.

The sustainability tour was awesome! Mind boggling how they try to close the loop as much as possible. Their restaurant was amazing too!

Great service, bread as an appetizer with olive oil and balsamic. Portabello burger was kind of bland, pizza was good, kids got pasta one was really good and cheesy other was bland (with a red sauce). Good Heff. and beer selection.

The brewery is amazing. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was one of the first beers I ever had, so I am glad I was able to visit this Mecca of craft beer, and to taste a lot of beers that I never get to see elsewhere. The restaurant was pretty darn good too, as I had the burger with fries that went very well with the beers.

I did not get to on a tour, but some locals I talked to at the restaurant kind of gave me all of the information that I needed.

Today my wife and I took the "Beer Geek" tour with 4 of our closest friends, Jen our host was an absolute delight she made the tour fun as well as making us feel like "guests" and not just tourists. Cody our bartender at the end was also a great host! Unfortunately (as read in other reviews) any service style business will have those who love and those who don't, as for us everything(service and hospitality) was top notch!

Been coming here since I was 21, 20 years ago when I visit family in Chico. Great beer prices and great fresh specials. Keep it up and glad to hear they have dug themselves into the community and the solar power plant parking area rules!

Very nice inside with a great menu full of amazing food and drinks! A bit noisy, so I would ad some sound deadeners of some type, but a great place all around otherwise.

This place is very large and more than pushes the boundary of the term microbrewery. That said, the facility is very impressive. Tours sell out well in advance so make sure to reserve online.

Our to guide was great, talked is through the whole brewing process. The history of Sierra Nevada is also interesting. And if course the beer tasting was really fun to top it off with.

Took the Sustainability Tour. Truly amazing what one man with vision could accomplish--and continues to build upon. Must see. Highly recommended!

Best experience ever! Had to change the reservation many times and had a great experience every time I called. We happen to get reservations on the day Resilience came out, they were able to luckily have 11 spots open for a tour, and best of all we met Ken Grossman and got a picture with him! Best day ever!

A wonderful place, the best in the world in beers, attention and everything, everything is perfect. I would go back a thousand times, it was worth every km I traveled from Bs As. My place in the world.

Coming here is always worth the wait. Whenever someone I know comes in from out of town, I love to bring them here- it's kind of a Chico staple. The smell of the hops growing outside in the summer time, the view of the brewing machinery inside the massive windows, and of course the gift shop and beer- they're all part of the experience. Most important of all is the food of course- the burger I had the last time I was here was the most flavorful thing I've tasted in the long time.

The independent brewery that started the craft beer revolution! The free tours are short but informative and end with a tasting of both well-known and specialty brews. Restaurant has friendly service, pub classics and fun specials, and very reasonable prices on drafts :-)

My last visit was with a party of 9 relatives. The food was fantastic. The service staff had no problem with our large party and easily handled a few special requests. The beer, of course, was great.

This was the first time I've been seated on the patio at the Sierra Nevada taproom and I really enjoyed it. As long as the weather is co-operating this seating option is good enough that a special request or patio reservation might be a great option on a warm afternoon.

Easily one of the top breweries in all of California. This place has been in Chico since 1980. Well worth a visit. Excellent tour of the brewery and tastings are included at the end of the tour. Then you can head over to the taproom restaurant and have more beers paired with good food!

Even though they don't take reservations on weekends, they help accommodated for our large party. Ben, our server that night, made modified orders for allergies, and continued to check up on us the whole time we were there. Great food! And Excellent service!

Just too oooold school for it. I need simple beer like Ultra light, bud light, Coors light. You know, something that doesn't taste like real beer but more like water. Your beer is great for many but not old for this old codger. Your beer has too much flavor for me. Next time put 1/4 beer to 3/4 pint water for me. Just enough so I don't pass out AND wet the bed. I sleep on the top bunk and my wife hates it when I wet.

I briefly visited in late August and it was amazing. Great spot to hang out and chow down. All the food looked good, my friends had mentioned how good the food was but I was a little nervous having never had things like "Chicken Schnitzel" before but it was AMAZING. I have been craving chicken schnitzel for months now and the mashed potatoes with gravy that comes with it. As an appetizer the pretzel was delicious and came with a rich cheese to dip it in.

My experience with the brewery has been a slippery one. The first two visits I had amazing experiences both in food and service. Unfortunately my last two visits have been less than desirable.

The food selection has seen a drop in quality in comparison to my first visit several years ago. The pastrami sandwich I had on my most recent visit came out lukewarm and soggy, delivered by a waitress who had a "I don't care" attitude. She forgot our tables non-alcoholic drinks and bread and then had someone clearing tables nearby bring them after she delivered our beers. This young lady was much more friendly and interested if we had everything we needed.

During our wait for food we noticed our waitress chatting with other staff near the kitchen and had to flag down a different waiter to get refills and our check.

Now I will say the beers have not changed in quality at all, I love almost everthing they have on tap. If you are looking for some good drinks and are just ordering standard bar food definitely stop by, but if your looking for a good meal and the beer selection is less important (or not important) there are better options.

We went on a Friday night at 7pm. The place was packed to the max with a 45 minute wait. Inside is very loud and lively. We sat outside and the atmosphere was great. The food is good and the beer/cider selection was excellent. Our server was excellent. We left at 9:30 and the place had almost emptied out completely. We could ve probably gone a little later and got a seat quicker or gone much earlier to beat the rush.

We did the 45 min tour. There were 6 of us in total. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and informative. Enjoyed the tour very much and the beer tasting at the end was fun!! My favorite was the Citra IPL. After the tour we visited the gift shop while we waited for our table and had dinner there at Sierra Nevada. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere!! All in all we had a great time!!

Didn't get to see the whole show here but if the rest of the place is anything like the merch shop then it's pretty cool. A bunch of cool stuff like shirts, dog bowls, oh and beer ofcourse.

The beers they make are pretty solid throughout the range with some great IPA's. Also they supported the paradise camp fire victims with the resilience IPA, so they get 5 stars from me.

Cody was an engaging and knowledgeable guide on our tour. It was just the right length (circa 40 minutes) before we headed to the tasting room. How thoughtful to provide tour participants with a SN pint drinking glass. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in beer making, especially craft beer making.

This place has amazing tasting food ever. This place has the best tasting pizza and burgers I ever tried. Me and my wife love this place and there amazing beer. They are hand s down the greatest beer and have amazing food. The have great prices too. The beer tour is fun and they let you sample their different and new coming beer.

The tour was interesting and entertaining plus it was free. We did a group reservation ahead of time. A great way to learn about Sierra Nevada and taste a few of their popular and new varieties. Plus, the taproom/restaurant is next door for some tasty food before or after.

Sierra Nevada is a great brewery with strong selection of beers available seasonably and year round. The tap house restaurant has excellent food and the tours available range from a free 45 minute tour to a super in depth 2+ hour tour. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

We had just moved to the area and our checker at Costco told us about The Tap Room. WOW! Yeah, I expected great beer, but the food was AMAZING! All visitors must get the brewers pretzel and the sausage plate appetizers. Worth the trip just for those!

Loved the tour, very informative & such a wonderful tastings & I'm not a beer person but had a wonderful time. I forgot the name of our tour guide, she was so nice. Loved the restaurant, ordered the Pastrami sandwich & it was so damn delicious dipped it in your Porter brown mustard & I swear like heaven. Had to buy a bottle now I wished I had bought more. Would definitely come back next time I'm in California.

I've been a very long time fan of Sierra Nevada, and am glad they can ship beer now, and have started these virtual tours!

Best beer in the world. Great brewery as well to visit, tour, see a show, or eat in the taproom. Quality people all the way around who value the community and leave things better than they find them.

I had an interesting tour of beer making here, ending with a tasting of several varieties including a special one not available except right here. The place is huge and includes a dinner-club theater where they host shows.

Service was great for how busy it was for graduation, the bread rolls & olive oil/vinaigrette was delicious. Overall great experience.
