This is a beautiful venue with nice acoustic. Even from the back row of the balcony, the music is clear and audible and the musicians are visible.

Be prepared for stairs! The sound quality here is amazing, and the intimate setting makes you feel so close to the performance.

Vast auditorium and great accustoms. You have tone lucky to attend lectures here by eminent professors. My daughter had that privilege! Visit to Harvard is not complete if you didn't see this place. Stained glass interior decorations and wooden floor are beyond description!

Sanders Theater is a great place to enjoy musical performances. The theater hosts aw wide range of genres of music. The architecture and the acoustics combine for a great experience.

Great timbered hall in a Victorian Gothic building. I loved the accustic of Sanders theater during a violin concerto. Many of the seats have obstructed views of the stage. Choose your ticket carefully.

Prime Harvard Square concert venue. Described as "Hogwarts-esque" and as "the insides of a gigantic roll top desk" :-).

It is a sublime structure, with incredible glasswork. Golden hour is the best, to enjoy it from inside. Important moments in history took place here.

Had Harvard Summer School orientation here. Only thing that comes to mind is - Historic!

Gorgeous theatre with excellent sight lines and acoustics from every seat, and free garage parking nearby. Also attracts some of the best acts, especially Christmas Revels.

Ig Nobel Pride ceremony. Once a year you can buy tickets and check this out. It was really fun. The idea of their research is that you should first make people laugh and then make them think. You do not win any money you have to pay for your trip yourself. Here you have the opportunity to go and listen. Nice environment and very entertaining

For XKCD fans this is an event not to be missed with humorous anecdotes on the research behind the book to some personal stories from Randall. No individual seats at the theater, just benches and the seating is tight, but well worth it for the event.

That's a nice place The architectural design is like no other! It was truly a pleasure being present for Harvard's 2018 Graduation Commencement. And I even had the chance to take a peep at Hogwarts on campus!

An iconic, historic space. Went to some events here for Yale-Harvard weekend.

Beautiful architecture, and a wonderful place in which to both perform and watch performances.

I have only seen the Revels here but the theater and lobby are gorgeous and worth the cost of a show to see. The small, hard, densely packed seating will not bother you once you get a look around the theater. Very intimate stage. It is handicap accessable but as most places at Harvard, limited areas are accessable. The bathrooms are in the basement which, amazingly, does have elevator access. So, if you need disability access, Harvard publishes a map online. Looking at that prior to your trip is advisable. I also noticed that the lobby is standing room only and there were a few people with walkers who were forced to wait in the lobby, without access to a seat. So, make sure to read Harvards disability access policies and plan accordingly.

Marvelous performance hall, don't upgrade or fix up, or change it. PLEASE. It's good, just as it is.

I saw a production of The Revels here, my first time and was blown away by the music, the audience participation, the costume, actors and sets!! The theater itself was lovely and BIG with great acoustics! It was so so much fun!! Also, I had been to Sanders once or twice before!

I love the acoustics. Outside of listening to the Boston Philharmonic, The Great Debate was filmed in this theatre.

I apologize for the previous review posted, that was intended for another place... Sanders Theatre has amazing architecture and the sense of history oozes out of its pores... It is a MUST see if you are the Boston area!!!

Public can't always enter but it's a beautiful building you should definitely check out if you are in the area.

I secured the ticket on the web in Japan, but I was relieved because I could decide the seat while checking the seat map.

Since it was my first time visiting Boston, I went to Harvard during the day before to check the location and issue a ticket, but it was an operation at the venue on the day.
"Walking on Earth" only mentions the Memorial Hall, but it seems to be unified at the Sanders Theater in the local area.

The building was Gothic and the stained glass inside was impressive.
The capacity (about 1,000 seats) was moderate as a concert hall, and I was able to thoroughly enjoy the acoustic sound.
If you go out from Harvard Square Subway Station to the ground and go through the university campus, it's about a 5 minute walk, so it's worth a quick stop even if you don't plan to go to a concert.

Historic Venue that reeks of exclusivity and upper crust baloney.

Attended a tabla-flute classical show at Sanders. Ambience was phenomenal. Public restrooms are located at basement, was a little difficult to find initially, amidst the crowd.

Acoustics, old-world, artisanal wood detail and quality, views of and proximity to presenters make this space intimate and inviting, majestic and imposing at once

What a place to visit! It's fun just to walk around inside the lobby and the theater and admire the amazing woodwork. But it's another experience altogether to see a show here.

Not open to the public unless there are performances

It is old but we'll maintained, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The bench seating is reasonably comfortable but the spacing is tight, so be prepared

Cs50 is a wonderful experience! Sanders Theater is a gem. Harvard yard at 4:00 pm is simply amazing!

A great place to enjoy both student performances and professional performances. The acoustics here could definitely better, but the beauty of the place makes up for that.

Gorgeous old church turned into a theatre on the edge of Harvard Square. The venue is small and all seats are good. They offer parking for certain events, but you can usually find street parking if you're willing to walk a couple of blocks. Definitely not enough women's bathrooms!!!

Beautiful theater that hosts many performances, student or not, conferences, musicians, etc. They also hold the beginning presentation parts of the Harvard University tours in this theater. The architecture is very beautiful and the design inside and outside is simply stunning.

Great theatrical venue, with the exception of the bathrooms, of which there are far too few.
