I love the opera. The story, the music, the motifs, the intrigue, and the costumes are all gripping. Shreveport Opera, while small, packs a punch. They hire fantastic cast and the chorus is locals! I did the chorus for many years. The time commitment is real, but the experience was amazing. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
They offer 3 a year. You can audition for the chorus, donate and be a sponser, or merely attend. Any of the above options will bring joy. The opera makes a perfect romantic outing. Being apart of one gives wonderful backstage insight, opportunity for cheap tickets, and a friend basis in the world of arts.
