If you are buying a car you need to take a trip out to Waukee and stop at Shottenkirk. You can work with Jason Guisinger, Dave Balke, or Ed Heathcote. They will be able to find you the vehicle that you want. The sales managers, Yodi Ollom and Paul DeYarman, will do everything they can to make the vehicle you want affordable. After Yodi and Paul made the vehicle affordable for you they will turn it over to a group of great guys in the finance office, Justin Saiz (Pronounced Size not Say-IZ), Colin Kent, and Justin Gray. They offer great warranties and cover all details of the financing with you. I suggest buying GAP insurance as I work in the total loss department for Nationwide Insurance. If you want a smooth buying experience stop out at Shottenkirk Chevrolet. Thanks guys, the baby mama loves the 2013 Traverse LTZ!!

Please learn from my mistakes, and do not trust your car salesman here. . Let me start by saying I love cars and I actually love car shopping. I went out to Shottenkirk Chevrolet to look at a new Bolt. I just wanted a test drive but I ended up making a mistake and purchasing a car. (never buy the deal, buy the car) The salesman was very nice they stayed late and worked hard to get us out in a hurry. I did fall for the negotiating by payment rather than by price, and I knew better, but that's on me. Just watch out for that. They also applied several rebates and did not inform me how much they were or if they were affecting my price, like a $3,000 Costco rebate for example. It was slipped in on the final paper but that never came up as we were closing the deal. I feel as though the salesman used it to earn himself an extra $3000. That was Wednesday at 9 PM. On Sunday and Monday I tried to get ahold of my salesman to tell him that this just wasn't the car for me. He did not reply. I sent a 2nd email with no reply on Tuesday. I called and was sent to voice mail. The next day, Wednesday, he did return an email to me. I explained that after 6 days I needed to return this car (I originally tried Sunday,Monday) he said sorry nothing he could do they have a 3 day 150-mile return policy. He did say they could buy it back, remember this is not even 7 days later, but that it would be a substantially low offer and a big loss for me. I was crushed, I felt I was ripped off so bad and overpaid obviously, and my salesman Cole, was your stereotypical car salesman, only out to make a buck, and must not care about word of mouth or repeat sales. . He did explain that the new incentives really lowered the price of the car (that I bought less than a week ago). I am not sure why he didn't tell me that night, that 1) I could return it in 3 days if unsatisfied, and 2) that new incentives were coming out in the next couple of days. My last car buying experience from Jaguar was so awesome, that I was over trusting this time. I feel he could have reached out and checked on me since it was a brand new experience driving all all-electric car, but he did not. He has not offered any ideas or solutions other than I do not want to sell it back t them because I will get a substantially low offer like $9000 less than a week ago. So Disappointed. I was trusting that my dealer would take care of me and put me in a good deal in a good car and make sure I was satisfied and that I would want to come back and buy another car. I understand they have to make money but I feel like he definitely raked me over the coals and took advantage of my trusting spirit Please learn from my mistakes and find a trusting dealer and salesman, maybe online is the way to go.

For the most they do a good job and are very polite, but they did once perform an action they weren't suppose to, and had been instructed to never perform the removal of this particular recall ever. So my husband was very upset. Of course they immediately replaced the item.

I bought a new suburban from TOM at Shottenkirk's on Tuesday I met several different people at the dealership and they were all very professional and answered every question that I asked.
They were not pushy at all. Everyone I met at Shottenkirk's was willing to spend whatever time it took to see that I was taken care of properly. If you do not give Tom and Shottenkirks an opportunity to earn your business you are missing the boat. The best car buying experience that I've had for quite a while

Since moving to the area almost 9 years ago, I ve bought all of my pre-owned vehicles through Shottenkirk Waukee. During that time, I d always had a great experience with the service department/same advisor. Recently I was having an issue with my vehicle and upon calling, I found out my prior contact/service advisor was no longer there. But, the new advisor I ve been working with (Colby) has filled those shoes and surpassed my expectations. I ve dealt with him twice now and both times he has gone above and beyond in the customer service department. It s clear that he not only takes pride in his job, but truly cares about the customer and doing things right. I m very appreciative and will continue being a return customer because of it.

Scheduled an oil change and oddly my check engine ...

Scheduled an oil change and oddly my check engine light came on the morning of my change. I went to my appointment and just asked to see if they could find out why it was coding and was told they were to busy to take 2 minutes out of there time to find the issue. I understand engine lights are most of the time not a major issue but i live 45 minutes away and don't have much free time to get back. Also got the multi inspection and they marked everything as fine and nothing needed attention even the wiper blades. Which is funny because one my wiper blades was torn and i had it on my to do list after the oil change to get new ones. Didn't know wiper blades were even part of the inspection until reading the list. Just goes to show they honestly don't actually do the inspection.

Drove over 6 hours from Wisconsin back in March to purchase a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro I've been looking for for a long time. I purchased the car from Riley who is an excellent salesman. However I financed with Matt, and I specifically requested tire and rim insurance. This is due to the MSRP of a chevy authentic Camaro rims is $1099. I purchased the insurance for $750.00.

A month ago I hit debris in the road, and ripped my tire open. I took it in, and the rim was bent as well. I had to replace both, however the insurance company would only cover $600 of the total $1200 bill.

Matt FAILED to explain the details of the contract, If I would have known the insurance company would not pay out more than $600 I would have never paid for tire and rim insurance through Matt. I recently purchased a full coverage contract through my local dealership for $799.

If you're purchasing a car here and having it finance, MAKE SURE YOU MAKE THEM EXPLAIN EVERY DETAIL! ASK QUESTIONS!!

THEY WILL TRY VERY HARD TO SELL YOU INSURANCE YOU DON'T NEED. DONT GET SCREWED LIKE I DID!!

The sale was a great experience from start to finish. I talked to Anthony Cortez and Art Miller. I told them what I wanted and how much I could afford for a new vehicle. I drove 2 1/2 hours to buy a brand new chevy truck. I will go back for my next vehicle and recommend Shottenkirk Waukee to anyone looking for a vehicle.

Derek , Alex, Matt and Shawn couldn't have been more pleasant to work with! A lot of laughs were had through out the process and we are so pleased. We will be customers for life. They started out really good with our sales rep Tanner but the sales manager was pretty disappointing. Made me feel like I was interrupting his day and being an inconvenience. Mind you I was buying a vehicle sight unseen from across the country...you would think they want to make you feel good about the purchase. My new truck arrived with the engine light on and engine issues. I was told I had to deal with it and that "we wouldn't ruin our reputation over a $40,000 vehicle"...well that "$40,000 vehicle" happens to be my new truck that I worked hard to purchase...The other service people I dealt with there were very nice. I was not offered anything for the inconveniences. I am happy now with my truck after I got it fixed at Rick Hendrick Chevy, which was AMAZING to deal with.

Never Again. Offensive. Jerk.

We are new to Waukee and in need of a mechanic. Recently, my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix lost power steering. Shottenkirk s close proximity made them an ideal candidate for our automobile needs. Having a GM dealership in the family, I sought estimates for the various power steering repairs. Shottenkirk diagnosed my car to need a new steering gear. The initial estimate was $940 (parts, alignment and labor). Recognizing this is a 10-year old, high-mileage car (250,000), I was disappointed I did not receive a quote for aftermarket parts or presented other options. When I did ask for an estimate with aftermarket parts, it was about $840 . I received two other quotes through repair shops from my hometown in northern Iowa that were just over $500 including parts, alignment and labor. Shottenkirk estimated 3.4 hours of labor, the other shops were 2.5 hours. I expected to pay a higher hourly rate in Des Moines; however, to suggest it takes almost 30% more billable time to complete the same repair is absurd. Needless to say, Shottenkirk s quote was offensive.

When asked what I intend to do, I stated I will be taking it home. As I began explaining my concern with their quote, the employee, Jim Miller, arrogantly ignored me. When I left, Jim stated in the most sarcastic manner, good luck , and may as well have thrown my keys at me. He followed with a shooing gesture.

I recognize they had spent the time to diagnose my car and provide a quote; however, did not receive my business for this repair need. I would be frustrated too; however, this will not be the only car repair we have and now you have lost my future business. As I stated previously, Shottenkirk s close proximity made them an ideal candidate for our automobile needs. We have been perusing their lot for some time and I was intending to buy a new Silverado. My wife is soon to be in the car market as well. My one experience has ruined my desire to seek any services from Shottenkirk.

I have to say Tiffany is really good at what she does ! This girl is super nice, she was professional , knowledgeable and went above and beyond to get me approved for a new vehicle Chris the finance guy was awesome too and made it a (fun) yet quick and easy process to get out the door and back on the road ! I recently had my car in to have a tire looked (slow leak) at before we took it out of town for the weekend...Korey made sure they tore into it to check everything. After purchasing a really nice vehicle, I was unable to have the tires rotated at their first interval due to dry rot and cupping. The Shottenkirk service department was able to help out and mitigate the issue by paying for two of the four tires to be replaced. The attenative customer service was greatly appreciated.

Highly recommend Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Waukee. I was looking to trade my GMC in and was given the name of a salesman there Tiffany Kilgore from a friend. I couldn t have asked for a better experience. After dealing with Karl Chevrolet, Willis Lexus, Bob Brown (for 10 + years) this was by far the best experience I ve ever had buying a new car. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, not pushy like most, funny, made me very comfortable, honest and fair. I didn't feel like I was dealing with your standard salesmen like I had in the past. She made a comment when you buy from Scottenkirk it s like joining a family . She was 100% right. You do feel like you're with family no matter where you are at their dealership. Everyone is extremely friendly and they bend over backwards to take care of whatever your needs are. I sincerely appreciate your help Tiffany and I will be a life customer of yours! I would highly recommend Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Waukee. Extremely happy customer!

My family purchases our vehicles from Shottenkirk and we have them serviced there as well. Great to work with and honest people. I am even more impressed with there investment in the community. They helped students at the local elementary purchase shirts and recently donated to support a little league baseball team. Great sales, great service, and great for the community!

Took my 2015 3500 into their service for a wobble ...

Took my 2015 3500 into their service for a wobble in the front end mid June they fixed it with an idler arm and alignment that lasted about 5 months and the wobble came back I didn t have time to take it back in until mid November they looked it over and concluded that my tires were worn uneven in the front and that is what was causing my issues, I grew up wanting to be a mechanic and even worked in a shop for a bit so I knew that for tires to ware uneven something else had to be wrong in the front end, so I pressured them to look into it even deeper to find some kind of issue that would cause this, after two full days of them having my truck all they had was your front tires are worn uneven you need new tires. So I told them to rotate tires front to back and that would see if they were correct they did this and I picked up the truck, turning out of their parking lot onto Hickman my truck got the same death wobble it had before. I ended up taking my truck to United fleet within 2 hours the found that my front shocks were bad, they could see daylight through the bushings holding the shocks on, my pitman arm was bad and my idler arm was bad. I m no professional mechanic but it s basic mechanics that if the tires ware improperly something else is wrong. With all that being said the service representatives were all very polite and nice when speaking with me Alicia was the representative handling my case and she was awesome even the manager I spoke with was awesome but I m not sure their technicians know what they are doing.

Being a buyer from out of state and them holding the car until I could visit for the inspection through them helping me ship the corvette to my home state. I have ALWAYS had the best experience at Shottenkirk! The staff is amazing and truly cares for the best interest of their customers!! Korey Payne in the service department is great. Korey is always friendly, accommodating, and treats me like I am the only customer. I always appreciate his undivided attention and service. Overall, I don't believe you can find a better dealership that offers end-to-end service. They don't just sell you a vehicle, they sell you an experience and relationship that goes well beyond a few hours.
