Lovely shop as you would expect, don't forget to go up stairs and see tapestry, jewellery and stones. Truly wonderful shop.

Alas, alas and thrice alas. Canterbury Cathedral is probably the most important Cathedral in the country. It is the residence of the most senior Archbishop of the Anglican communion. The Cathedral is steeped in history and tradion. You would expect to find a host of treasure in the form of specialists writings and pictures and music. You would expect a real celebration of the Christian faith in Canterbury. Instead you enter a festival of expensive tat. Fifty percent of the merchandise has nothing to do with Canterbury or religion. If you need a ceramic guinea pig or an overpriced tin of biscuits then you have found your shop.

Helpful staff and some beautiful items in the shop. This is the place to come if you are looking for a Canterbury Cross, or gorgeous Christmas cards in December!

The cathedral store is mainly for tourists/visitors but it does have unusual gifts for a child or an older or religious relative.

Just being in Canterbury is like going back in time.

There's some really nice household and jewellery gifts to buy but I chose ones that were reduced like the 2018 calendar - really nice photos of the Cathedral too.
