Always a good selection of Seafood. Excellent drink selection as well. My go to place for lunch or dinner whenever I am in N.N.

Overpriced seafood that wasnt great. I come from the midwest and expect fresh seafood when I go to a costal city, also the beer selection wasnt great and service could have been nice or informed.

Portions were small for the money. Fries shouldn't come with the heavy seasoning by default. Fish tasted good.

The tuna was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato fries were very good. Service was ok but not great.

I had the Bermuda Triangle, the shrimp, crab meat and scallops were all very fresh. I had the scallops blackened. It came with 2 hush puppies, which I ate. I'm eating low carb, but I couldn't resist! Paired the meal with a nice muscado, delicious!

This is my 2nd time visiting and I will continue to visit this restaurant whenever I visit Newport News.

The wait was a little long, but considering it was during covid... not bad. Outdoor dining available.

Great seafood in a decidedly casual and high decibel setting.

Best clam chowder. Good thing I had the cup because I would've eaten the whole bowl!

Harpoon Larry's is by far the Best seafood restaurant in the 757!!! The food was absolutely Fantastic!!! Our waiter did a Outstanding job Chris thanks!!! Diffently a Must Go if you have never been!!! Thank you Harpoon Larry's for another Outstanding meal & Night!!!

Very good service hot and fresh food very happy going there never been there I will go there again the hush puppy was really good and big the hamburger was really excellent will recommend to others

Some of the best seafood around the newport news/hampton area.

Great craft beer selection. All menu items we ordered were fresh, flavorful and cooked properly. Our server Emily got everything right and was very attentive. We stopped in on the way to OBX and are definitely making a stop on the way back.

Fun environment, great food! Very nice severs and bartenders. Appetizer forgotten and and had to be cancelled...otherwise really great dinner!

I love there seafood and when i received a less than feasible meL...they offered to replace it

Server/waitress was outstanding. Oysters a little on the small size. They provided 4 dipping sauces...2 were just nasty. Wife's crab legs were good sized. Atmosphere was good.

Update: Changed to 5 stars...the She Crab Salmon is phenomenal! I've had it several times and so have my friends. We all love it and it's always perfectly cooked.

Overall it's a nice place. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, decent food, good selection of beer/drinks. I recommend the fish tacos and oyster po boy.

Good food paired with good service. I had fried rockfish and my wife had grilled snapper. Both were very good. Our server, Scott, was knowledgeable and friendly.

We went for lunch. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. The service was fast and friendly. But the star was the food. I had the shrimp tacos and they were simply wonderful. My companions had the mahi mahi and grilled shrimp. All of the dishes were delicious. I will return.

This was my first visit to this location very unimpressed. I was seated in what looked to be an unfinished porch with a wonderful view of j Clyde Morris. If that wasn't the highlight of the evening then the 140$ bill for cold food and weak drinks surely was. Have never been so disappointed thanks for 1st anniversary dinner ill never forget.

Nice place. Their friend oysters we're over cooked or the batter just wasn't the right batter to use. We did love the seafood platter (see picture). Wait staff were very good. Plenty of parking.

Always my go-to in Newport News when I am in town. Been coming since the old place in 2004. Fresh and well prepared.

Get the crab, scallop and shrimp Sautee. It was flavorful and filling. Salad not so great but the main entree was worth revisiting! Our server was also attentive - even with their being 8 of us! You can't do 4.5 stars. The drink was just o.k. and so was the salad; just ok

The food and the service at this restaurant is impeccable. The staff is friendly and personable. Very clean place to eat for lunch or dinner. The she-crab soup is amazing. Love it go here 4 times a week or more.

I truly enjoy this eatery! I had the Blackened Rock Fish with Apple Slaw and Fries - Wow, so good! This is why I'm a repeat customer. And the wait staff are superb... Love, love, love!

Food was great. I had to leave because it was to hot inside. No ceiling fans and HVAC could not keep up.

Just got done dining here, place is fantastic service was great! Andrea thanks for explaining the oysters I learned something new. Food was awesome flounder and crab cakes are a filler for sure and the calamari yum yum yum lol. Will be back soon

The food was not all that great. I had the shrimp and grits and I was not impressed.

Ordered nacho not enough sauce then asked for more the response was no .they measure out the right amount. ...that was the manager then I went to eat the wings I order all was undone. .. yes undone chicken.... then I call the lady over to see this while she was there cut open another piece of chicken that one wasn't done also..... service was good that's why I gave them three stars

This place was packed and I very quickly found out why. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Even though this place was busting at the seams with customers we didn't have to wait long for a table. The food OMG if you love seafood as I do this place is paradise! Great food at reasonable prices and attentive waitstaff.. couldn't ask for more.

It's ok. Calamari was a bit tough but edible. Shrimp and oysters were good. One of the 5 best fish restaurants in hampton/ Newport news.

Loved it, fabulous food, great atmosphere, my waiter was Adam and he was hands down the best waiter I've ever had at any establishment in my life.

Crab cake sandwich w/fries is delicious. Happy hour drinks are also good deal.

Oh my gosh! This is definitely a repeat experience. The food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal!

Worked on devouring the "BERMUDA TRIANGLE"
SHRIMP, SCALLOPS AND LUMP CRAB SAUTE chased with a Delicious Rum Runner. Food always taste the way it should and service was great. Real enjoyable Family time out. Plan to keep returning.

Prices were a little high for the quality of the food. Service was ok. Not really worthy of all the hype of these others reviews.

My husband really liked the sweet potato fries! Food was very fresh and our server-Kim was awesome! Will be back for more crab cake!

I was not disappointed!! It was our first time and we ordered crab cakes, shrimp(broiled and fried) , Shrimp and Grits(delicious) and pasta!!!
The seafood is fresh, shrimp is jumbo yummy...the server is amazing!!!!

Absolutely horrible food and horrible staff they have made the portion smaller and the quality of the food is worse and raise the. drunk staff manager included when I went to complain was sitting around the bar drinking.

I love this place so much, specially if I'm craving for sea food this is just a perfect place to be with, I have been here for a couple of time and really enjoy the service and food..

Omg, the Rum Runners are #1 in my book. Calamari was excellent too.

Had the surf n turf. It was awesome! And it was my first time there. Delicious and well cooked.
