Shiro (trained by Jiro) Dreams of Sushi!
Omakase is the way to go!!
We also got the black cod for an appetizer, LOVE LOVE LOVE!
The best omakase I've had in my life. Don't second guess yourself, this place is worth the price. I'm already planning another trip here!
We came 45 minutes before the restaurant opened and we're second in line. The line grew to about 6 other parties before the doors opened. We were able to have omekase at the sushi bar, yum!
I felt it was a good experience for some great food. I had the omakase; first time I've tried that. Some of the fish was slightly fishy at the beginning; but by the end it was perfectly delicious. The chef wasn't the most chatty but still had a good experience
Most fantastic sushi I've ever had in my life. Do the tuna, it melts in my mouth.
We love going out. Yesterday we went to this delicious place which friends recommended to us. We had a beautiful time there with first-rate meal and a professional stuff and a great chief cook. We added this restaurant in our phone list and we shall no doubt visit again very soon. Highly recommended.
Had the premium omakase... Average to be honest... Doesn't come close to the dining experience at Sushi nakawaza in nyc...
I had the sushi "omakase", or chef's choice. It was some of the best sushi I have ever had. Expensive, but so worth it!
Small sushi restaurant with long lines for seats that are well worth the wait, especially if you re sitting at the sushi bar for an Omakase experience.
Shiro Kashiba s first Seattle restaurant is still bustling with crowds and serving amazing fish despite losing its namesake. The restaurant is now owned (I think) and definitely operated by a new group of individuals who continue to proudly put forward delectable constructions of nigiri.
There is no better way to enjoy sushi then to sit in front of your chef and to enjoy as many pieces of fish that he has to offer until you can no longer fathom placing another piece of fish into your mouth. That is exactly what I did and it was amazing and 100% worth it.
I enjoyed everything I ate, with very few exceptions. The stand out items were the Chu toro (medium fatty tuna) and Zuke tuna. The fresh octopus was something I ve never had before and it was incredible. The Japanese barracuda was another new add to my repertoire and this was smoky/savory deliciousness. The scallop was classic and perfect. The mackerel offerings were on point.
In general, the meal was simply on point. Jun, my chef, did an awesome job and was personable to the point where he made the meal better. Add on the black cod to the above and it simply all around was perfect. Would I do it all over again? Yes.
Went there for my 21st birthday. Their premium course ($75 for 18 courses) was perfect. Seafood was amazing and fresh, they really knew how to make sushi. The wasabi taste was not strong at all, and refreshing. Love it. Will visit again someday in the future.
We had an amazing dinner here for our friend's birthday. The food and service were absolutely fantastic! We had a party of six, but one friend was running a bit late. Everyone wanted to go with the omakase so we told the waitress we would wait for our friend before we began. The waitress knew we were hungry so she said we could go ahead and start and she would just bring out the missed dishes for our friend when she arrived. Such great service. Each piece that came out was incredible. Also, Shiro's omakase consists of tuna, salmon, scallops, etc. Nothing too exotic for those that are worried about being served something you might not be willing to eat. I was having such a great time with good friends, great food and drinks, that I forgot to take pictures. Will have to come back the next time I'm in the area!
Great sushi. There was a line when we got there but made it in for first seating. Quality was amazing and the selection was unique. Recommend.
Delicious! I had a Rainbow roll which I usually pass up but they have real crab in it. Very very good
Great restaurant for the adventurous sushi lover. Service is excellent. Food is sushi with a twist. You will find things like geoduck sushi, crispy fried shrimp heads, and onion miso soup. Reservations recommended, or plan on waiting for a long while.
The fish was super fresh and the staff was real attentive. Our chef Eric was awesome and made our first omakase experience pleasant. We would love to come back.
The fish we had tonight was absolutely delicious! I don't think we could have gone with anything on the menu.
The wait was longer than expected but the food was exceptional. Very fresh
The food was perfect and the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you to the chefs for a delicious meal.
Wow! Delicious! Much fresh! The $75/person meal set that they currently have is super worth it. We came in having eaten nothing for the day and felt completely satisfied after the meal. We were planning on ordering more, but the waiter assured us that those meals usually fill people up. He was correct.
The fish was very fresh and I love how they brought out a little course description for you to look over so you know what you are eating.
The tamago was so incredibly unique and I have never tasted anything like it.
Sushi was incredible. Servers wearing masks. Chefs were not Japanese when I went. Indoor dining available with reservations (pun intended!).
Highly recommend!
Best sushi I've ever had. Though I've not been to Japan I eat sushi weekly and try to sample highly recommended spots whenever I travel. Simple. Perfect prep. Great fresh fish.
Amazing place with the best sushi I had so far. Love their Tuna Festival it's worth the price.
Absolutely outstanding, although not cheep the freshness of the fish and the simple yet delicious preparation makes this experience one of the top sushi experience I've had... Go early, get in line, you will not regret it!
Come here with my friend. The front desk told us to wait about 20-40 minutes, BUT ACTUALLY WE WAIT FOR OVER ONE HOUR! Very rude to tell us that they must serve the reservations first. Very bad experience.
Worth every single penny. We ve only been two or three times and have tried the sushi and non-sushi plates. My favorite thing about Shiro s isn t even a certain item on the menu or the talented servers or the amazing chefs; it s the widespread dedication to providing a wonderful experience.
High-quality sushi restaurant located in Belltown, Seattle. They presumably focus on the Omakase set menu, but your dining experience does not have to be limited by that. There is a thorough selection of nigiri and sashimi that is prepared in a traditional style. Their menu has less emphasis on rolls than other domestic sushi. They also offer rolling specials and other japanese dishes in addition to sushi. Prices are high, but so is the quality and you are getting a very good experience. Reservations are recommended, though it is possible to walk up if you don't mind a wait or you time it correctly.
Amazing omakase! 5 stars and a really lovely and refined environment. Beat out top spots I have been to for omakase in NY. Very pricey but well worth it for a splurge! Expect to spend around $400 (all -in) for two.
I've been to a lot of places for sushi, but this one actually amazed me. I had the Omasake it was really delicious. The server explain every single piece of sushi to us very professionally. Everything is awesome but it's a little too pricey.
