be prepared to get papers pushed at you and sign things without proper explanation. and that's the 3rd review someone else was told same as me.. "Hostage" with deposit. lies and more lies here.
We recently bought a new Sportage here and I felt they went above and beyond in taking our trade-in and the purchase of our new vehicle, that feeling has recently changed drastically. Part of the deal was the installation of the remote starter, which in itself seems pretty good except that said installation took nearly 7 hrs to accomplish.
We book an appt for 11:00 o clock as we live out of town and had multiple appts throughout the day. Sherwood Kia graciously arranged for a loaner but after completing our second appt we were informed that it was going to take longer than expected. When returning at nearly 5 o clock our vehicle still wasn t ready and we didn t leave the dealership until 5:45 that evening with another 2 hr drive home.
Oh but they graciously gave me a free oil change in return. Yeah me!! Truly considering another dealership for our service needs.

I was waiting to be helped by a service advisor (female). The customer in front of me had an appointment for an oil change but had missed it by 40 minutes so she made him rebook??? Then it was my turn we had received a quote to do some work she asked my if I had an appointment I said no then she said the car would be here a week for a new key and fob? thankfully she decided to call the parts department and found that indeed they had those in stock. wow didn't seem to interested in customer service
Terrible. Once you buy your car, forget about actual customer service if you have any concerns afterwards. My used car cost $15000 and was sold to me with rusted control arms that I paid to fix, worn tires that I paid for new ones, worn out bushings that I paid to fix, exposed electrical wires that I paid to fix, and now my door latch is broken. My vehicle has been at the dealership for 5 days now. Still waiting for the "top guy" to call me back. After all these days of telling me they were going to figure out how to help me, I've received a phone call to tell me that the door is broken. The same thing I told them when I initially went to complain THREE WEEKS AGO. A serious joke. Do not spend your money here.
Have been getting our 2012 Sportage serviced here since new. The most current experience was highly satisfying, with Meagan doing her upmost to ensure that the work required was done in time and on budget. Further, a follow-up appointment was/is required that she took great pains to ensure that most was covered under our extended warranty.
Tanya is a great service advisor and knows what she is talk about. I would highly recommend having her as your service advisor. Great service & Great customer experience.
As opposed to the west end Kia, the sales staff are governed by an overbearing management figure who has no faith in her sales staff ability to present themselves, as themselves, and demands the team to present her idea of approach with intolerance to any other options. The very fact that we all do things differently as individuals is what promotes evolution and advancement in the human species, there is no mold to what is better, as the different personalities in the passage of time changes the pinicale of success each time they use their personal skills to surpass their predecessors. To withhold individual specific ideas, is to hinder advancement and progress. And if you have her sit down with you and tell you she's going to give you the "best deal", and "She's an honest person ", or She wouldn't lie to you", guess what? All three of those statements, entirely lies, each and every one! Poke holes in her lies, and use technical and complex terms to expose her dishonesty, she'll stumble and suddenly be at a loss for words, likely because she's never used, or cared to learn many of them. The results are ,shes easily intimated by, as she calls them, "BIG WORDS", that she doesn't understand.(example : Subterfuge, was not even aware of the term, let alone the definition of the simple word) Buy nothing from this unscrupulous underachiever, she's undeserving.

On a Sunday my old car died a timely death.
On Thursday I drove home in the car I really wanted: a new Kia Optima LX (2015) at a very agreeable price!
Key to this was Gordon Miller, New Car Sales Consultant, who was up-front, honest and accommodating in helping me arrange and negotiate the deal in a timely, straightforward and fun manner. He was helpfully persuasive by not being high-pressure and by being extremely knowledgeable. I am entirely satisfied by the purchase and give Gordon my highest recommendation as a salesperson!
Along with Leland Wilcox, New Car Manager, and Catherine Morgan, Finance Manager, he made making an important major purchase a satisfying experience!

Everything went really well. Especially with Dawn my salesperson. She was outstanding. Alex the manager was helpful to get my payments down and reduce my interest rate. We came to a figure of around $230 biweekly with a reduced interest rate of %9.99 which was way lower than my current interest rate and payments of about $253. We both agreed and signed off on that. However when I went to sign the finance papers with Justin he advised that the payments would be around $310 due to the bank wanting to have me insured to the hilt. I told Justin "if that's the case I'll just walk out right now". He then came back with payments of $242 by removing all the loan insurance which was still less that what I was paying but not what I agreed upon with Alex. I did not appreciate the "up sell" attempt so that was my only complaint. So I'll give 4 stars because of that. Sincerely, Eric Holmes

We purchased a new KIA early in September. We found the staff at the dealership to be very friendly without being pushy. Our salesman, Brenton Bewry was excellent. Leland, the sales manager, was professional and very personable. we were happy with the vehicle and the deal was concluded without the usual long round of back and forth. Anthony has been most helpful with follow up issues.
After the deal the finance staff were pleasant and efficient.
Its our first KIA. If the car lives up to its promise, it won't be the last.
We have quite a unique experience at Sherwood Kia.
First off; we were helped by Kim Gebran and Leland Wilcox (sales person and sales manager respectively). The initial process of buying the car was smooth and seamless. There is an atmosphere at Sherwood Kia that is unlike other sales situations. I am kind of (very much so) a disgruntled skeptic by nature and generally assume most people selling me things are just layering on a guise of colorful hazy BS and happy go lucky 'I want to be your best friend' attitudes to make a sale. You don't get that feeling at all at Sherwood kia (at least from all the people we met with). Their sales approach is super low key, not pushy, but not so laid back that it seems they don't care. Kim made it important to build rapport with us and made us feel not like warm sacks of meat with a good credit score looking to drain our money (like with other dealerships/appliance sales/etc) which helped the experience quite a bit. She was very knowledgeable and knew answers to all the questions we had. We even traded stories about our furry creatures back home (did you know she rescues unwanted birds? Amazing. I may or may not have spammed her cell number with pictures of our german shepherd a bit too many times).
We ended up buying a GM demo car for a very fair price. There was a couple problems that needed to be addressed with the vehicle (expected there'd be something with a vehicle with 8500km) ; we were promised they would be taken care of quickly and then because of a delay getting a part they were kind enough to lend us a brand new vehicle to use in the interim which ended up being almost 2 weeks.
The large speedbump with our whole process came with a conflict with one of the people and a situation that arose in the financing office. Much too complex to explain here. We explained the situation after the fact to Leland (the sales manager) who was extremely understanding and accommodating to our wishes. The issue was brought to the appropriate people and the expediency it was dealt with, the communication during, and the general professionalism shown by the staff during the situation was remarkable.
We bought a 2016 Sorento and we love it. 0 problems with the vehicle and it is making me wish we bought a crappier vehicle because it set the standard for my future vehicles a bit too high.
Would definitely shop at Sherwood Kia again.
Purchased a beautiful vehicle at end of August. All the staff were great from sales, financing, and management. I did not feel pressured to buy. It was a great experience. No issues.
I had a great experience buying my new vehicle Sam and Savanna were awesome to work with. They were supportive with my decision making process and how pucky I am. I received communication constantly that kept me in the loop regarding the process. I never felt pressured or rushed over the four days it took me to find a vehicle I liked. I am Feng Yu and just bought a used car at Sherwood Kia with pleasure. I had a very good experience during these three days. The sale man, Mike, and the manager are very enthusiastic and they sell the car in reasonable price and help me to do a full inspection with free. Before I went to Sherwood Kia, I have dealt with one private seller and one small dealer company. Both of them tried to make a trick with me. I almost exhausted. But finally and luckily, I find Sherwood Kia and have my first car. Good experience and I will recommend my friends to go there and buy cars.
Experience was made great by the people who helped me there. I had concerns about buying another kia based on my old Kia dying on me. But they certainly made me feel at ease and helped me out with a band new Sorrento and gave me a great deal and trade in value. Also they were no overly aggressive as the other places I was looking at. They're super nice and went the extra mile to get the vehicle early to me on their own insurance even. Always will recommend.

Sherwood Kia's service is 2nd to NONE! They always look after their customers. Since 2009 I've been dealing with them and never had an issue, being from another province I feel that their service department is the best in Canada by far! I wouldn't be surprised if they were the best in North America.
