Some of the staff were rude to my father when he stayed here. He asked for a chair to sit in so that he could get out of bed and one of the staff acted as if getting him a chair to sit in was a huge burden, even though the point of him being here was to improve his physical mobility. The pca was also supposed to cut his food for him into manageable pieces but left his food in very large pieces that were difficult for him to eat. Nursing staff that I met was very nice. The doctor seemed very rushed when assessing my father, did not wait for him to answer completely. Would not recommend this rehab and definitely would not want my father to come here again.

My vote for employee of the week goes to Fred on 2nd floor. Fred made my stay mush more bearable making sure I got coffee every morning as soon as it was available Thanks Fred for going beyond the call of duty. You made this patient a little more comfortable

My stay there was awful. Was referred for orthopedic rehab after knee replacement surgery and was put on a floor with nursing and dementia patients. The atmosphere was chaotic, and the service very poor. After the transport team from the hospital delivered me to my be at Sherrill House, no one came to check me in and my walker was out of reach. The call button didn't work and no one answered my calls, and it was only after 2 and a half hours that someone came to help me get up to use the restroom. They eventually fixed the call button, but even when it worked it consistently took them 1-2 hours after a request to come assist me. My roommate was a demented hard-of-hearing elderly woman who ran the TV on highest volume throughout the day and night. The first night there I asked the nurses if we could turn it off (or at least down) so I could get some sleep and they told me no. They told me that I wouldn't be able to leave for three days, so I walked out against their advice. They refused to give me a discharge plan when I left (ie: no meds). I think their care bordered on medical malpractice.

I live next door to this place and I feel awful for the people stuck there. There is constant noise coming from this place - car alarms all day sometimes (I guess it s some staff member who doesnt care to turn it off) then there are fire alarms at night that go for dozens of minutes before they figure it out and shut it off. I would never put my loved ones in this restless place.

My mother is staying at the Sherrill House due to dementia. We can walk in at any time to visit my mom and she seems happy there. The staff is friendly and attentive. My mom 's room is clean and kept organized.
