The layout of the hotel is confusing. Can be improved with more signs and better into.
Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I've stayed here on several occasions, through company reservations, and I have never had a good experience. First time, the shuttle driver sped past us TWICE. It comes in intervals every half hour. We had to wait over an hour for a 5 minute ride. Second time, the room was "cleaned" but the toilet had BLOOD on it. I told the front desk and they finally found me another room. After telling me I was lying. Third time, the shuttle driver drove past us TWICE AGAIN. I am a firm believer that people make mistakes. So each bad experience I've had I tried to speak with the front desk to resolve the issue so that it won't happen in the future. Nothing was resolved. They do not try to compensate you or even apologize for the situations that happen. I would never pay to stay here.
Really nice older Hotel. Staff was great, helpful and friendly. Would be five stars but TV did not work. A long standing issue the hotels knows about. Would stay here again 10 minute Uber ride to a lot of stuff.
The hotel gets a 3 because of it's location. Everything to sightsee in DC is only a quick 5 or 10 minute car ride if you're driving. Or the hotel offers a shuttle to the Metro or Pentagon City.
The rest, not so great. The room was dark, small and dingy with dated, chipped furniture and paint. One of the power outlets on the wall appeared to have melted at some point which was troubling. The hinges for the closet door hung crooked and seemed broken. I was also not impressed with the lack of counter space for the sink/vanity at all. There was barely room for me to balance my makeup case.
Also, the walls in this hotel are very thin. Prepare to hear your neighbor. We were woken up quite early by first, the sounds of a garbage truck outside on the street, and then by a group of teenagers in the hallway. The lack of insulation in the walls, windows and doors meant both sounded so loud they might have well been in the room.
They also up-charge like crazy compared to some of the other hotels I stayed at during this trip. Want wifi in your room? An extra 13.95 per night. Need parking? 24 bucks. How about continental breakfast? Another 16. I'm surprised the shuttles are free.
I'm glad we only spent 1 night.
I got stranded in DC due to a snowstorm and had a great last-minute stay at the Sheraton. Bed was comfortable, the staff I interacted with were very friendly and the breakfast in the club lounge was great. Not many walkable places, but the restaurant is open late. Would stay here again.
Good location for Pentagon visits, but not a lot of restraunts in walking distance nor is it a nice neighborhood, I'd stay in Crystal City, all things equal
Location is great. The free shuttle to the Pentagon city metro stop is very useful. A DC view room is stunning. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Locked out of room but they couldn't correct the key for entry. Given another room.
Very nice and clean hotel, pool area has a great view. Good breakfast. One microwave for the whole hotel, though. Didn't see any fridges in the rooms, but they might be available on request.
Great customer service! We had reserved a king size bed room but when we got to our room it was two double beds. When we went to the desk to bring it to their attention, they said they were sold out of king size and were very apologetic. They made it up to us with a credit at the bar/restaurant, and the next day with help moving to a king room with a view, plus a bottle of wine and cheese tray. The location was ideal: near Arlington National cemetery, and the Pentagon , and there was a bike share station right outside the door that we used to explore the area. Based on their customer service and they location, I would definitely stay here again.
Hard to did off highway but once we got ther, the staffs are friendly.
Good view of Pentagon
We love this hotel! It s close to DC, affordable, and has great views.
My visit did not start well with a 90 minute delay in my ability to check in because my rooms were not clean and a rather rude receptionist when I called down for some extra towels. Not what I expected being a Platinum Member on vacation.
I must say that the manager Jamal made everything right and was very kind once I expressed my disappointment - thank you again sir. The location was nice and close to the metro via a shuttle ride and you have a great view of the town.
Slow check in, uncomfortable beds, tiny bathroom, unreliable staff, but good breakfast buffet
Very clean rooms, sheets are fresh, shuttle to Pentagon city mall and metro.
Awesome place to stay at if looking for a nice decent place
Very disappointed booked online drove almost 4 hours to get there and once we get in the room there was no microwave or refrigerator like they said it will be and had to pay 35 dollars for parking never again very disappointed
Good Service, good breakfast. Can recommend to stay there.
Very nice hotel, located just in the outside of DC. There isn't too much in terms of restaurants very close to the hotel however.
I went there last weekend I really like the hotel and the staff service the rooms were nice and clean cause of COVID the make sure everything are clean and there s a lady working in the front desk her name is galila I really appreciate her and her cooperation
It is a bittersweet review. I stayed there for my mothers funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. The staff was very nice to us. My father who was handicapped and they got us a bigger room. Sadly I will be returning for my fathers funeral. they are very nice and its a difficult time and kindness its truly appreciated. The view on the capitol is quite spectacular and The Air Force Memorial is close by. Arlington National is close by. Its a nice very clean place to stay and its not expensive.
Maybe I'm just off base because I'm younger, but I was unpleasantly surprised that there was no free wifi. I don't need a mini fridge, an iron, a hairdryer, or the many complimentary toiletries available on request; I need wifi that doesn't cost $14. In other aspects, the hotel was okay. The printer was down, but the staff was very accommodating in printing from their computers. The older tower (2400s and 2500s) was not in great condition. What people say in other reviews about part of the hotel being nice and the other not so nice is true; I got off at the other tower once and was surprised at how different (read: nice) it looked. In addition, the shower was off; half of the water came out of the tub's spout and the other half out of the shower head, with no easy remedy. All in all, I would not return unless I needed a decently cheap place in a convenient location and had relatively low expectations.
Toilet broken and shower clogged. Buffet for Breakfast cold.
I assumed there would be a fridge and microwave in our room, however there was not so we gave some food away so it didn't spoil. The room had a great view and easy to use ac unit. Workers were all nice and quick to greet everyone as they entered.
Very basic room - but very nice. The hotel is beautiful on the inside with its grand ballrooms and foyers.
Decent place. Clean, but needs renovation. Shuttle to Metro is a great service (when it runs on time).
Nice area and great staff..a little expensive to have drinks and food unless it is happy hour
We've stayed here several times over the years for various onsite meetings and events, and we've always encountered very helpful and accommodating staff. That has always been a welcomed perk given that overall, the hotel is pretty dated. Expect to pay for wifi and most recently, the cable signal kept dropping out on us as we tried to watch a few movies before our event.
Excellent location. Clean amenities. Helpful staff. A perfect location for an affordable weekend trip to tour DC.
Nice location with clean and open lobby; parking is less than convenient with small spaces and merely adequate lighting.
Always good place to stay. That said, our room keys had to be replaced constantly. Bring an extension cord for easier access to plugs for your electronics.
Writing from my room, It's okay not the best. The painting looks like inside of a Tardis, Beds were cozy. I fell asleep just like that, Now time for dislikes. My charger keeps falling out from plugin, Having to control the air conditioner from entrance. This couch chair was uncomfortable, and that pretty much it. Overall it was amazing! It's more amazing if you get a view. So yea
