sheraton broadway plantation Review

Rooms were remodeling recently. Two bedroom villa's are very nice. Staff is friendly. Great hotel. Possible the best in Myrtle Beach

For the most part it was nice. The tile floors in kitchen didn't appear to have been mopped because your feet got black if you walked barefoot. The door to deck on outside was terribly dirty. The beds were clean and comfy. The outdoor activities were very nice.

I love that this place is up to date and clean. This place is a good place for families to visit.

This is a great place for family's that are on vacation, lots of pools, activities, and fun stuff to do!

This location has anything you could possibly imagine wanting to do. In the off season, it's a little less emphasis on the beach and water but still so much to do. Went for a week and still have a billion things left on my list of things I want to do the next time.

We drove 6 hours for our Easter break, paying top dollar price for the vacation-period booking but found the property very dated and unappealing. The furniture and other stuff in the unit are surprisingly worn-out and in a rundown state.
I was told it was a unit with a lazy river view but see the attached picture of the view I have, and the rundown condition of the furniture in the unit.
Even the room was not smelly fresh when we entered, nor was it set at a pleasant temperature. Although it was clean.
It's not worth the so-called top Marriot Vacation Package that we were sold and the Gateway price of $1,200+ we paid for this place. (Plus 1,000+ annual Maintenance.)
On entering the unit and seeing the state of the unit, I immediately called guest services to get it addressed, but no one answered. No one has returned my calls so far. So I am sharing this with all potential visitors.
Do check out the unit yourself and make sure it's not a waste of your time and money before you make a non-refundable booking and get disappointed. More importantly, I believe it's a waste of my precious vacation time with my family.
Do look at the pictures of the unit, furniture, patio door handle, kitchen cabinets and take your call.
I haven't had a chance to check out the rest of the property and services yet, but I will update here when I do.

Location, Location!! Near most attractions and a ten minute drive to the boardwalk. Full kitchen and laundry in rooms. Spacious and comfortable.

Not up to past Sheraton standards. Worn & torn towels, dresser drawer pulls out crooked, coffee maker leaked coffee all over counter. Positive note, whole place looks clean.

Stayed one night. Well satisfied. Lots of activities that met a wide selections of interests. Would return for a longer stay.

family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in room 1835 and my husband in bed was bit 5 times by bed bugs. We didn't find a bed bug until day of check out. Bed bugs found on pull out couch and in bed box spring. The staff were called at the front desk and after an hour they sent someone to the room. ECO lab bedbug specialist was called and bed bugs confirmed. We were moved to another room and our luggage and clothes were steam cleaned by the Sheraton staff. Staff handled situation well and were very apologetic and accommodating.

This place is amazing, I was here with my family and my children were fascinated by the place, the room very clean, it hurts that I felt very short my time. I plan to return with my family next summer!

We stayed at the Sheraton convention center in Myrtle Beach south Carolina. We enjoyed it however did not like the extra charges for parking daily as well as the extra charges for the pool and workout room. Especially since we were unable to utilize those extra things.

My family and I have stayed here on numerous occasions and have had pleasant experiences. We did notice on this trip that the level of attention to cleanliness has become sub par. Among some of the top discrepancies was a filthy molded shower curtain liner and table chandelier and refrigerator that was coated with cob webs and caked up dust. Upon checking out I alerted the manager on duty, Paul, of the state of the room but he was unapologetic and came across totally indifferent. So I decided to post this review to document the decline of an other wise nice resort.

For being a timeshare resort I am very disappointed on the quality of the rooms. Everything is outdated, worn and only partially works. I do like the extra amenities like the multiple pools, mini golf and tennis. The staff is not very hospitable and there is no mid week room cleaning like all other timeshares.

Just basic for families. Pool under construction heard jackhammer all day. Toilet broken. Fold out couch only preferable to sleeping on the floor. Staff friendly and courteous

Wonderful, clean resort area.
Lots to do and close to the ocean. Can't wait to go back.

Great place, good swimming pools, huge room, free parking and wifi. The only thing I must complain is the housekeeping (she didn't do his job)

Awesome living quarters with all amenities. On site putt putt golf, beach volley ball, basketball court, lazy river, water park, bbq grills and fire pits...all complimentary with your stay.

Hotwire gave this to us for a great price when we booked online, like they reveal to us which hotel we get after we paid and OMG when we got there after our 9 1/2 hour drive from Philadelphia, it was like heaven, we freakin' loved this place! The room was amazing, just the whole appearance of the resort was incredible! When we came back to S.C. 2 months later we tried putting in the zip code of where this place is to see if we'd somehow get it again but unfortunately we didn't, they gave us the Sheraton downtown which was poop but this place right here, aww man I'd gladly go back if they offered me free nights after reading my 5 star review I'm not getting paid for writing this either, I just be that hype about a lot things in life! Lol

Very nice condos. We have been here twice. The condos are always nice and clean. Every thing in the rooms is very new. I would recommend this l9cation to any one especially gamilys with kids. Our daughter loves the water park and loves the ship slides!!!

The rooms are clean. The staff is always nice and helpful. There are plenty of activities on and off the resort. It is kid/family friendly. I would stay here again.

Excellent stay. Huge, and excellent, accommodations and plenty of things to do around the property.

We visited off peak so some of the outdoor facilities were not in full operation. The rooms (2 bedroom suites) were really nice. Full kitchen, laundry, three beds and a pullout couch. It's a great space for a family. We traveled with 2 adults and three children. The lobby area is nice and staff great. Enjoy.

The geese. No other words need to be said, but without an explanation, you won t know what to expect. They honk all night. If you are a heavy sleeper, it might not bother you. If you are sensitive to sound during sleeping, you will feel like you are sleeping in a goose camp during the great Canadian geese migration south. The walls seemed paper thin because we could hear the guests staying next to us.

Now, the bed was comfortable and the comforter may have been made from the down of the geese as it was the softest and most comfortable comforter I have ever slept under. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable as well!

The shower was the only reprieve from the honking geese. Not because it was farthest away from the balcony, but because the water pressure was amazing! This truly was a therapeutic shower experience.

I loved it they have a water park pool lazy river and an indoor pool a pond to feed ducks and the thousands of turtles

I love the pool area, and so do my kids! There's lots to do with the kids and it's conveniently located near Broadway at the beach. The rooms are clean and spacious. I always enjoy my visits here.

The rooms and facilities including utility services and the gym were good. The resort is good with a lot of parking lots and greenery and fountain gardens etc. There is an improvement required in terms of the Pest control. Rest all were awesome

Facilities and customer service are excellent. I recommend it for any kind of stay.

Had a awesome time with the wife and kids in Myrtle Beach on 4th of July will return again next year.

I fell in love for the first time at this place. It will always hold sentimental value. It s the blessed place in the whole world. Many memories made here.

The resort has multiple ponds throughout. Canadian geese are everywhere and wake me at 3AM and disturb the peace throughout the day and night. Sleep is impossible. We travel more than 10 weeks all over the country, and stay at many resorts. I have never seen geese mating and raising their young on site. It is awfull. We have had to call the front desk about the lack of garbage bags, dish detergent, a faulty toaster, and noisy neighbors. We lived with a filthy rug for one day. They had to shampoo it, and it has been wet for 2 days. It has not been a good experience.

Very kid friendly, and a great place just to relax and have a great time

The geese need to be thinned out drastically!
They honk all night and are very obnoxious.
You can not set on your balcony and talk do to the loud honking.

THE GEESE ARE NOT AN ASSET!

I love this resort. The amenities are fabolous. There's a huge state of the art gym, a gigantic indoor-outdoor pool/ lazy river and 3 tennis courts! It feels like I'm at home when I stay because of the stove and oven and the washer and dryer and I love that feeling. The front desk is very accommodating as well, However I did have a slight hiccup when they over charged me for my room, but they were able to figure out a way to resolve that issue. That's the only reason for the 4 instead of the 5 but other than that this place is awesome!

A relatively nice place to stay, we were there for a time share related type of introduction to their vacation buy in.

Checked in today and this is the worst RCI resort we have stayed in. Furniture outdated, unit not clean. They put new countertops in and called it updated!!! After switching units we found the same quality in the next unit as well. When they ask us to tour I will politely laugh, as there is no way this is a Gold Crown Resort!!! Staff however was friendly.

Well the place was very nice, but the toilets are ridiculously loud could use ceiling fans in bedrooms a veiw poors pots but love it

Stayed here for one week in February 2015 with my parents. We used timeshare points (from a different company) to book the stay and had a great experience. I had to work while on the trip and the wifi signal was strong and consistent enough. We went to a few events at the Activity Center and had a great time making martinis, etching wine glasses and dying ceramic coasters. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The unit was very clean and the kitchen was laid out well and had all of the dishware, utensils and pots and pans we needed. I would love to stay here again in the future.

Pools and hot tubs were awesome, and the rooms were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stay here every year. Great area golf & the amenities & staff are great.

I loved this hotel. My family and I spent 4 days and it was our best vacation yet. They were very clean. I saw the housekeepers constantly sanitizing the elevator. Though the kids Splash ship section was closed. My babies enjoyed the baby pool and the lazy river. They didn't even notice there was a cool ship section that they couldn't go to. The rooms are very spacious. The kids enjoyed waking up every morning to look out from the porch at the turtles in the pond. We will definitely be back again.

Great location and clean environment. A light bulb out on dining area and toilet need adjustment but everything else is great.

This is a great location for families and couples. Lots of wildlife to see as they had lots of turtles which was nice to watch. The accommodation was stunning lots of amenities and the staff so helpful and friendly.

I am very disappointed at the resorts' staff whose lines are always busy, or do not pick-up the calls when the lines are not busy to accommodate owners' requests.

Decent resort, nice lazy river, but we had bed bugs in our first room, we were moved to another room (that was clearly never checked) and there were bed bugs in that one too! Obviously this can happen at any resort, but CHECK before you unpack.

Attended a presentation and despite not purchasing it was a great experience.

Our last visit there were spider webs in the entry to our unit, we reported it to the front desk, and it was left unattended for the length of our visit. At our owners update, we were told of the new changes of the "flex" plan. They told us that the old way was unfair, because people who could pay more were given unfair treatment.

So, the new "Flex" plan is supposed to fix that. Now if you just give us $20,000 more, now you can be treated like everyone else. Do not buy a timeshare. Worst investment ever !!

We stayed here for 6 nights this month. The rooms are very clean and have been recently updated. I did find a single cockroach(I have a pic bit no idea how to attach it to this review) in my bathroom the last morning of our stay which kind of really grossed me out. It s walking distance to grocery store and broadway at the beach which was nice. I really liked having the full fridge and kitchenette. The one bedroom villa easily fits a family of 4 because there is a sofa bed. One thing that I found a bit annoying was that house keeping called early in the morning and woke us up to see if we needed them to come. I declined the first day but after 3 days we definitely needed towels.. trash changed etc so i called the front desk that told me there is no housekeeping because the hotel is ownership?? They did agree to send up a trash bag and more coffee. The next day we came back from being out and housekeeping was in our room moping the floors.. made the bed.. changed trash cleaned everything so I m completely confused at to wether house keeping is normally offered or not ??

AMAZING! Large 1 bedroom villa was nothing short of fabulous! Kid friendly resort. Myrtle beach attractions are about 10 mins out. There were activities on the property for both adults and children. Staff could be better but that's ok, I didn't need them for much. I will definitely recommend this resort!
