The most stunning mosque in the UAE, this place is a jaw dropping beauty. Since its a spiritual place, you are required to abide by the modest clothing rules, and that just adds on to making it a more wholesome experience, being one with the beauty of this gorgeous location.

Very calm and relaxing mosque while enjoying the great architecture. Plenty of secuirty checks before you enter the building, so it's very safe and secure.

Strict dress code for ladies, if you dont have the full covering then they will provide it for you. However, for friday prayers you must take your own abbaya if you want to pray there.

The architecture is amazing with white marbles all around and amazing stone carvings inside. They have beautiful chandeliers inside the prayer halls.

Highly recommend a visit if you're in Abu Dhabi.

The mosque system was very good before 5 years as it was open without any high security and you can have a look at every place. But now there is strict checking like if its a war base and every place is restricted inside the mosque.
Very sadly i have to say its not a mosque anymore its a tourist destination. This was not HH Sheikh Zayed's perspective.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque stands out as one of the world s largest mosques, and the only one that captures unique interactions between Islam and world cultures. Sheikh Zayed's vision for the Grand Mosque was to incorporate architectural styles from different Muslim civilizations and celebrate cultural diversity by creating a haven that is truly diverse and inspirational in its foundation. The mosque s architects were British, Italian and Emirati, and design inspiration was borrowed parts of Turkey, Morocco, Pakistan, and Egypt among other Islamic countries, revealing a glistening architectural marvel with an astonishing capacity of 40,000 worshippers and visitors.

What can you say, it's a massive beautiful mosque in Abu Dhabi. It's pristine, white shell pops against the clear blue sky. The water features are calming and reflective.

New to this location: You enter the place from the corners of the parking lot, then underground you proceed to the ticket area, and through security, past some stores then up an escalator to the mosque. All of that is under the parking lot. Years ago you would walk into the mosque directly from the lot.

Very beautiful place of worship with brilliant architecture. It is very cool to walk around here even in the high temperature in the middle of the day. The intricacy of the design is exquisite. People typically spend 1-2 hours here. There is a parking lot. The mosque feels very spacious even when there are a lot of tourists. Religious people are allowed to perform namaz.

It is a very lovely mosque for Muslims and Non Muslims to go to visit and worship. All the staff are respectful and considerate. The overall scenery of the the mosque leaves you at awe that you cannot even describe or put into words how beautiful it is. Mashallah!

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (Arabic: , romanized: J mi Ash-Shaykh Z yid Al-Kab r) is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.[1] The largest mosque in the country, it is the key place of worship for daily prayers, Friday gathering and Eid prayers. During Eid, it may be visited by more than 41,000 people.[1]


The project was launched by the late president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who wanted to establish a structure that would unite the cultural diversity of the Islamic world with the historical and modern values of architecture and art.[4] His final resting place is located on the grounds adjacent to the complex.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center (SZGMC) offices are located in the west minarets. SZGMC manages the day-to-day operations and serves as a center of learning and discovery through its educational cultural activities and visitor programs.

The library, located in the northeast minaret, serves the community with classic books and publications addressing a range of Islamic subjects: sciences, civilization, calligraphy, the arts, and coins, including some rare publications dating back more than 200 years. The collection comprises material in a broad range of languages, including Arabic, English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Korean.

The majestic structure was originally called Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and renamed it to Mariam Umm Eisa Masjid (Mary, Mother of Jesus Mosque) as an initiative exemplifying the values of co-existence among religions in the UAE. It is a modern take of mashrabiya design that has been part of the Islamic culture for centuries. Designers have used the abstract floral pattern of Tribulus Omanense, which is the national flower of United Arab Emirates. The columns on the other hand are depiction of date palm trees ubiquitous to the Middle East region.

World's third n. bigest masjid sheikh zayed abu dhabi UAE

Nice masjid , design like thaj mahal in India. If you're planning to visit to the UAE , especially to Abudhabi for any purpose you can easily visit the Sheikh Zayed Musjid. No entry pass or fee. It's completely free. Many people coming here to namaz also. In Ramzan many people coming at evening time here , that time tourism is difficult, in morning no problem. But ramzan evening you will be get an arabian Dinner at free.

We got here by tour. Book it on klook. Totally worth it. The mosque was really beautifull. Magnificent. The art and detail on the wall was wonderful. The mosque is pretty crowded but you will have your chance to take picture. Its also pretty long walk from the entrance but hey its traveling.

If you are in UAE and haven't visited grand mosque then really disappointing..! Trust me visit this place no matter what religion you are , in which god you believe . This would be one of the calmest place you could feel soo spiritual and one of the best place
It has 82 domes.
Visitors have to be covered them properly to visit inside.
At checking point you could get covering dresses.
With wide parking area.
Everyone are allowed to visit.
Cleanest and scented washrooms inside and the lightings are on point.
If you have camera dont forget to take it with you definitely you could click some amazing architecture and beautiful photographs.

Such a huge superb, peaceful, breath taking, beautiful Mosque made of marble. A must place to see in Abu Dhabi. Its a Grand Royal Mosque. Words are falling short to describe it...

Salamalikoum , Last year was mashallah 10 stars , but now too many rules changed (no giving kandura for men , a lot checkpoints , long corridors, few specific place to take pics , not allow to seat outside just few benchs) , and become more tourists place ... with all shops downstairs (specially americans one , should be more local on my point ) . For a tourist its great , for a muslim better another mosquee .

This was the highlight of my Abu Dhabi trip. The mosque is such a magnificent piece of art. The underground tunnel and marbling wowed me. To get into the mosque you have to cover up, or you'll be provided Abayas with hoodies to cover up. I loved this particular experience, ticked off my bucket list and not one to forget anytime soon.
