Excellent theater, beautiful decor and all the amenities. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Like the tables indoors, or out on the terrace. Washrooms clean and well kept. I'd say the lobby is a bit cramped but minor complaint. Been here several times and always a great experience!

Plenty of space to move around pre/post show. Lots of room outside to roam during intermission. Seats comfortable. Bar staff super friendly. If l had to knock something it would be the lack of places to sit pre show/ intermission. $15 parking is a tad harsh as well but it is NOTL so l do get it.

The Shaw Festival Theatre was founded in 1962 by Brian Doherty and his wife, who were inspired by the works of George Bernard Shaw. Since then, it has become one of Canada's premier theatres, attracting visitors from all over the world.

One of the things that sets the Shaw Festival Theatre apart is its commitment to producing plays exclusively from or about the era of George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) and his contemporaries. The theatre offers a variety of wine-tasting events throughout the year where visitors can sample some of Ontario's finest wines while enjoying live music and other entertainment.

But there's more to do than just watch plays and drink wine at the Shaw Festival Theatre. The theatre hosts countless events throughout the year, including workshops for aspiring actors and writers as well as special events like concerts and film screenings.

And if you're looking for something truly unique, consider booking one of their backstage tours. These tours take visitors behind-the-scenes to see how productions are put together – from costume design to set construction – giving them a glimpse into what goes into creating a world-class theatrical production.

In short: if you're looking for an unforgettable theatrical experience in one of Canada's most beautiful regions, look no further than the Shaw Festival Theatre. With its commitment to quality productions combined with stunning scenery and endless activities on offer both inside & outside their doors - there really is something here for everyone!
