I love this place. I got the chicken plate with black beans and Mexican rice, with a side salad. It was really good! I love the salsa salad bar and all of its amenities. Over all of refer this place. Really good, clean, food!

Careful, even so I asked to make sure there is no cross contamination with shellfish, they're not doing a good job on a busy day. Same grill and probably using the same tools. My son got a reaction. I spoke to the manager who tried his best. This is the second time that it happens at a Sharky's restaurant and we only have been there 3 times over 2 years. The food is good, but not safe for folks with allergies.
The food is UHMAZING. Everything is just WOW! Jealous we don't have one in the harbor area. I would be there happily spending my $$$ in exchange for the food they prepare.
This place food is pricey but worth it! Fav thing in the menu is Fiesta Burrito with lettuce , yumm.. But I wonder why so many bad review complain about food taking long, like please there are other people that order ahead of you. Just seat down and wait, it is not hard. Anyways, their salsa are bomb with their chips hmm
This place is great! One of the best Mexican food places in town! The food is high quality, fresh and very well made. My favorites are the Fiesta Burrito and the Nachos. The portions are great, especially the Nachos.
I absolutely love this place, the nachos are a great combination and a large portion enough to share with 4 people. the fiesta burrito is certainly the tastiest and their meats are all organic and juicy very good flavors! if you don't like that i suggest the bbq chicken pizza bbq sauce layer on a thin crispy tortilla green onions chicken its just amazing! the best i've ever tasted
This was my first visit to Sharky's and I was pleasantly surprised!
I ordered the Fajita bowl with chicken. It was a huge portion! It was served with nicely flavored grilled chicken with rice, black beans, bell peppers, onions, guacamole and sour cream. I really liked the flavors and I was able to make 2 meals out of this order. I was surprised by how moist and well-seasoned the chicken was and it tasted fresh.
They also had a salsa bar which included several salsa options that all tasted good!
I would definitely come back and try some of their other menu items.
Place had mediocre food compared to the one on Burbank
Update: 11/26. Went in, no line, stood there for 5 mins, nobody acknowledged me, ( aka Karen) I asked the chef can I give you my order to get started? He said "oh idk" who pointed back to Karen which was busy on the phone at the register, all I'm saying is to at least say "Hello, I'll be right with you" and get back to your phone call without ignoring your guests.
The Sharkys in Valley Glen across the street from LAVc is a disaster. Sorry, but true. Customer Service is horrible even on days that are not busy! But what struck me was how dirty the tables were! I asked it to be clean but to no avail. So I reported to wiping table and seats myself.
This was my first time. I had the fiesta burrito, and tried the nachos off my friends plate. Everything was really good and the staff were really nice which always makes the it worth spending my hard earned $$
Staff is nice but the food portions are smaller than all of the other sharkys in the area. Also for some reason the food isn't as fresh here. And this is after ordering many many times over the years. Specifically the kids power plate. The yams are old and not edible.
This review has absolutely nothing to do with the food, and everything to do with the horrible customer service. I went to this particular location on two occasions, and both times, I was extremely disappointed.
The first time I visited this location, it was a Friday night, and as expected, there were a lot of people, but not an overwhelming amount. After I saw a party leaving in the back, I hurried over and sat down while my mom ordered at the counter. The table was disgusting, but I knew the staff would be over to clean it, so it didn't bother me. After my mom sat down, we waited for our food and for someone to come over and clean the table, but no one ever came. The food took about 15 minutes to be delivered and it was only then that the woman asked if we needed the table cleaned, which to me, was a silly question, but we continued to be cordial with the staff. The employee not only did a poor job in cleaning the table, but she also dropped a dirty napkin in our plate of food and pretended like it did happen, and then she walked off.
The second time we ate at this location was for lunch on a Thursday afternoon about a month later. I was with my mom again, and this time, the restaurant was almost empty, maybe with two other guests, and one party was in the process of being served. We grabbed a table towards the front and waited for our food. The table was once again dirty, and with no excuse, as the table had been empty since we had arrived. We ended up having to clean our own table. There were staff members on break and we noticed that the staff members on break were being repeatedly visited by those who were not on break. We got there around 3:30, and as time progressed, more customers began coming in. At around 3:45, I noticed that other guests who had just arrived were being served before us. At 3:50, just as a party of four walked in, my mom asked a worker what the status of our order was. At 4pm, the party of four was served. It was at this point that we decided to leave. The employees refunded us and offered us our food, which had been sitting on the service oven the entire time. We declined the offer and left.
I will not be returning to this location. It obvious that the staff is unorganized and lacks any customer service skills. I work in customer service, and I would be fired if I ever treated a guest the way I was treated the two times I went to this Sharky's location. If you like to be ignored and eat at dirty tables, then this is the place for you, if not, I suggest the Burbank location in the Empire Center, the parking is ridiculous, but the staff is friendly and the service is quick.
This place is so unorganized. I had a job interview here, and the manager and I had scheduled a meeting at a certain time on a specific day. First of all, good luck trying to find a parking spot. When I arrived, I went straight to the cashiers, stated I had an interview. They told me to wait at one of the tables. Ok, no problem. I sat there waiting what had to be at least 10min. Until I went back up to the registers and reminded them I had an interview at this specific time. They then decided to go let a manager know. Someone came out and said, 'Oh, we're sorry that manager isn't here today, have a nice day.' -- Are you serious? You're a manager, can't you interview me? I wasted a whole day of being dragged out to a place that not only didn't interview me, but didn't think of a way to resolve the matter. What a HUGE miscommunication on Their part. I don't even WANT to know what it's like to work for them.
We went Thursday night we order a power plate that Carolina recommend to me and it was delicious she was the manager in charge at that moment she was so happy and nice to all the customers thank Carolina for your service!!
My girl friend and I are always 100% satisfied with this restraint. Great customer service , fast, and bomb food. I highly recommend super nachos feeds 2 people.:)
So disappointed, I called to order takeout for 2 STEAK burritos and STEAK nachos, when we came home to eat our food, everything tasted like FISH! The meat in the nachos, and the burritos tasted like fish. Really disappointed, not going back ever. I m beyond grossed out.
I m a fan of Sharky s cuisine and I ve been to many of their locations in the San Fernando Valley. I have found a pleasant consistency in the food and service over all of my visits. The thing that makes each location different is their More
Fresh, local, mostly organic food. My husband and I love this place! He loves the Fiesta burrito with salmon. I get the tostada without the shell.
Make sure you bring a sweater or jacket!! All year round, this place is a meat locker!! We've talked to the manager multiple times. No luck. I know the kitchen staff needs to stay cool, but you'd think Sharkeys could find a way to cool them off without freezing the entire restaurant. The food is worth it. So go, but don't forget to layer up!
My friend spoke so highly of it, but it wasn't that great. His Salmon salad looked better, but my Chicken Quesadilla was average at best.... More expensive than Poquito Mas but not even close in taste. And our "booth" was quite uncomfortable, with the saggy bench so close to the table I felt like a 5 year old!
I like Sharkeys, but this particular location is across the street from a junior college, so its always packed. Needs more seating, food was good though. There's always take out!
Came here tonight for dinner. It was really busy especially with food app orders and the cook staff seemed a bit disorganized, but trying their best to keep up with all the orders. When my food was ready the lady verified my order and I left. But when I got home and stated to make a dent into my tostada I noticed that there were no roasted veggies as stated in the menu description which was disappointing and I didn't want to drive all the way back and have to wait for a new order.
Omg it was my first time in sharkys Mexican nasty shrimp burrito I never had burrito like that I paid $ 12.77 not worth your money i don't ever want to go there please if you want to eat fresh Mexican food go to clintro grill sharman way and whittset in north Hollywood.
The food is good, If you're going to dine in ask for everything right down to the soda glass of water even napkins If you're dining out well then make sure you fill your salsa containers or you don't get any livin learn truly a great spot for the college
