SharePeople is an ideal alternative for or a good supplement to an (expensive) occupational disability insurance policy. In the first place you are assured of income if you can not work for a while (and that gives a good and comfortable feeling). In the second place, with your monthly contribution you build up a nice piggy bank (for example for your old age) that always stays with you. With SharePeople you therefore have full control over your deposit.

"If it seems too good to be true, it often is". Unfortunately also applies to this concept. The fine print of the "Declaration and Promises", to which you must agree, states that you must make a pledge to donate a maximum of 6% of the chosen income level to a disabled participant each month. That is different from the fixed amount that you seem to receive. Don't find this transparent! I also notice that there are many positive reviews. Wonder if those are real ...

Perfect solution for me as a freelancer. I use SharePeople in combination with an AOV with a waiting period of 2 years. This means you are fully covered and you do not pay sky-high monthly amounts for your AOV.

Happy with this form of AOV scheme. Normally complicated and a lot of hassle. Everything is immediately clear via SharePeople, you know where you stand and practical matters are easy and well-automated. Nice to have this arranged and in good management. Can recommend it to every freelancer!

Very nice club, SharePeople. I have been a participant for over a year and I like it very much. They are transparent and the costs are low. Making donations also feels good, because that way you help another entrepreneur every 4 - 6 weeks, who are not having it that easy. Recommended!
