Please fix the lift scanner in garden wing. If you...

Please fix the lift scanner in garden wing. If you face to the lift door, the one on the right is not working. We have to scan another to activate the lift. Also, the durian outside the L9 trashbin. It was there since on my day one. On the last day, it was still there.
Besides, I have to praise the staff at front desk and bell. They helped us alot. During our honeymoon trip, everything is good.

It was a wonderful and memorable experience for having a staycation at Shangri-La Hotel. I was given the best service from check-in to the Horizon Club (must experience) and to check-out. The newly refurbished Tower Wing rooms were cozy and feels like away from Singapore!

Really enjoyed the details of the newly refurbished rooms. the bathroom (shower stall) was slightly not clean (long strands of hair on the floor, and bath gel was used) but did not detract from my stay experience. loved the huge pillows, wish you sell them

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, staff could not be more helpful, always with a smile on their face and if you asked any question they really wanted to give you the answer. The receptionist who checked us in (the one with the bad leg) was a credit to your hotel.

Best hotel gym ever - overall a really nice hotel and what you would expect for a Shangri-La property, but the gym really stands out. Free weights, machines, kettlebells, pull up bars, Jacobs Ladder, and all the standard stuff.

5 star rated hotel in Singapore.

5 star rated hotel in Singapore.
The seize of it is quite large, with a big pool n nice garden.
I just checked in only the Island ballroom and I found out inside structure looks out of date, maybe becos' it was built ard 40 years ago.
The staff are friendly n always smile when giving instruction.

Fantastic! We love the hotel and the staff are fantastic so attentive. We stay every couple of weeks and love everything about it - by far the best service in Singapore. Immaculate, beautiful food and the staff cannot do enough for you. So lovely.
We've stayed in the valley and garden wings and both are incredible. If you want to feel like your staycation is anactual holiday then stay here. Great for couples and family - also done both!

The food in Shang Palace chinese restaurant was average. Waited almost 20mins before the first item on the set menu was served. Need to constantly waved to the servers to check. Restaurant was nice to provide a bday cake for my hubby's birthday but they just left the cake and walked away. Most restaurants wld sing the bday song for u.

Fantastic place!! However everything seems over way over priced!! The rooms in the garden ward were good but not great. The line buffet was the best experience. The food was top shelf. Definetely worth a try once in a lifetime.

I have visited here on three separate occasions for a meeting, solemnization and lunch at their buffet restaurant. Each time, I was impressed by the prompt attention from the staff. Horribly expensive parking though (as usual in city areas), so if you are there for a proper event please request for the parking waiver from your organizers!

I was shocked to be asked to pay $200 a night deposit for incidental costs. I have only ever been asked for a credit card imprint by other international hotels, not to have $800 removed from my account for the duration of the stay, to be refunded on checkout. For international guests traveling on prepaid travel cards, this could have a large impact on their cashflow during their stay. Moreover, when I queried this, it was reduced to $100 night which means this is discretionary, so I wonder why I was charged the larger amount to start with?? I have never been asked to do this before and am wondering what the real policy is and how it is applied to different guests. (Should I dress better at check-in?)

Apart from this the room was lovely and I enjoyed the view. I do think the shuttle could be offered more than once an hour though as if you miss it or if it is full, it is a long wait.

I m comparing most 5 stars hotels in Singapore. Here the thumb up compare to other 5 stars hotels :
1) during check in, before we reach the counter, their staff walk up and inviting us instead standing there waiting. Feel like very welcome.
2) ordered free extra bed for my kid. Normally other 5 stars hotel need to call service for prepare extra bed and need to wait. For them, when we step in the room, extra bed already make.
3) don t need to wait for luggage, the luggage already inside the room. Hmm how they know which room we stay? Link system?
4) pool and playground allow 1.5 hrs instead 1 hr which this years I went to a few hotels that allow 1 hr only.
5) breakfast is serviced type buffet. Staff told me can eat/ order unlimited.
Others only can order once or some hotel is 2 times only.

Above is base on COVID19 period and how they serve and treat us. I can said they amount the top service I encounter in most 5 stars hotel. My room is cheapest in their hotel. ( not suite)

The functions room...The Dutch Pavilion is excellent for small gathering for six tables....Great services provided by waiter and waitresses...Food provided is so tasty, love the dessert bar...Like chewy brownies the most among all!

Staff were very friendly and helpful as always. New renovation in foyer area looks great. We did not like the new breakfast dining area at all. Has lost all its charm and looks like the inside of an airport or shopping food court. Food was good but the overall experience lost on me.

Services at the Restaurants, Buds, Splash are good! They are engaging with the kids and the little ones enjoyed their stay and playing with the staff.
However the Line buffet food quality can be improved (dinner). Selections and taste wise. Also as we are unable to do late check (after 12noon) check out and the pool has no public shower places for kids to bathe, we are left in situation where we are unable to shower. The hotel receptionist promised to call me to see if he can have other alternatives but he never called me back

Shangri-La Singapore is the best Shangri-La hotel ...

Shangri-La Singapore is the best Shangri-La hotel I've stayed by far. Over the course of my Asia trip, I stayed in the following Shangri-La hotels: Beijing (29 Zizhuyuan), Hong Kong Island, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. Singapore's Shangri-La has the highest standard and best services among them all.

Unlike Hong Kong's staff, who can be a bit snobby to anyone not speaking Cantonese (and they would remark rudely in local dialect thinking English-speaking guests would not be able to understand them - i.e. that elder gentleman at the concierge desk - I am currently writing a 2-Star review on TripAdvisor for the Hong Kong Shangri-La). In comparison, my experience at Shangri-La Singapore was top-notch, and the Singapore staff are more international, multi-lingual, multi-cultural and better prepared for today's global economy than personnel in Hong Kong Island.

Over the course of three days, the Singapore Shangri-La guided me around the city via MRT routes, and the Horizon Lounge offered great flexibility on days when I skipped lunch or dinner and had to get something to eat or drink in between. The Singapore Shangri-La served as the anchor as I roamed the city to meet friends and talk to strangers, knowing I will always have a comfortable home after a long day in the city.

Shangri-La Singapore befits the image of a top-notch hotel of an international city that is ready for the new century, unlike a certain other Shangri-La in Asia that is intellectually stuck in the 19th century (albeit with 21st century decor).

Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cleaners worked around our schedule and were courteous and polite.
Breakfast was fresh and staff remembered our needs and preferences from one day to the next.
Pool was clean and towels fresh.

I was surprised ny hotel car for trip back to airport wasn't available.
I confirmed it before I reached the hotel (vi email), when I checkedin and then when I paid the bill.
However when I reached the lobby I was told the car was not available since it wasn't "confirmed".

Firstly, there where hairs i the bed. Secondly the room could not stay an even temperature and for an infant thats bad. We ordered room service and it never came and finally someone to collect out bags never came, For 2 days in a row our milk in the mini bar was not replaced. We could the missed our flight. Ive been coming here since I as 7 years old, its sad to see the service slip. Ive stayed in the Garden Wing since I first came and to discover the Wafterfall was closed for breaker after coming here since I was 7 (iim now 40) was shattering. I just feel the service is not as good as it was. .
