Love this hotel and the trees in the garden. We always have such a good time here

Room, is old but having a modern look and setup. Great superking bed! Great amenities. Daily refill of fruits...
Dining is great! Good varieties... Good taste. And great ambience...
Swimming pool, if you stay with Rasa wing, you have a more private pool. Otherwise you do not need to be sad or disappointed, as they have few, I mean 4 pools for you to choose as you can use the goldensand pool...
Others... The adventure club is a great addons... The cool club staff is attending your children well!!!

There's no one word to this heaven on earth place. Our stay at the executive garden room was so comfortable and 3 nights flew by. Note to self was at least book 4 to 5 nights the next time we go.
The buffet breakfast was out of this world. The services of all the staffs were admirable and they made us feel so at ease and taken care of.
Chi Spa experience was absolutely delightful. Joey my therapist was lovely and I had an amazing time.
Will definitely go back again and again and again.

Lovely resort, but there wasn't a lot around. Great for families and for relaxing by the pool.

Nice resort, but we had some small customer service issues during our stay (hence only four stars). The facilities are top notch and what you'd expect, with a fabulous pool and convenient beach access. Breakfast was the only meal we had at the resort and it was very well curated, with options for all appetites. Beds were comfortable and the room itself was larger than we expected.

Very helpful staff. Great spacious room with sea view. Standard breakfast, with some big trees outdoor if you like. Convenient bus stop no. 23 for route 101/102. 24 hours McDonald 10min walk away. Only bad thing is I still get confused where's the main entrance of the hotel.

Peaceful Resort overlooking the Ocean. Great amenities with lots of activity ootions. Perfect for a quiet or romantic getaway.

Very upbeat, and lively. The view from the outdoor lunchspot is amazing; although very sunny and little shade is offered. It's expensive but quite a decent place to eat.

If you're looking for a luxurious escape, it really doesn't get any better than this resort in Penang. Picture a sprawling lush property, nested with beautiful gardens, multiple swimming pools (adult and family, and some of the best food at a hotel.



The resort is located on the beach, but you'll find that with all the amenities and the beautiful sites on property, you won't be spending any time on the beach.

If you're booking a room, I highly recommend you stay in the RASA WINg portion of the hotel as it will guarantee you access to the private pool, and he evening cocktail hour that runs from 530 to 7 PM -- inclusive food and drink.

The resort is about a 10 minute walk from the hugely popular night market, in about 10 minutes away from 45 Hocker centers. If you are travelling into Penang, it's about a 30 minute Uber drive, or you can take the Daily shuttle service which takes you there and brings to you back.

Honestly after all Mr Fernandes (or Hernades) GM of the hotel best efforts to mellowfy my anger on the first day - service ppl of the hotel needs a wake up call ... BIG TIME!. U guys just destroyed your GM's efforts. Without this review I foresee the hotel service standards destroyed to cringeworthy status. FGS, pls pick up the lines. Theres a in room dining line, which hardly anyone picks up, and inept Service line that only picks up after 15 rings.. and guess what they will pass you to another line which guess what.. no one picks up... Checkin over sunday ended up with a room of two late for almost 1.5hrs despite checkin around 1500hrs. This is totally unworthy of the ***** you have. Post MCO blues and teething issues should be rectified soon.

Hotel is dated and in need of some upkeeping. The room's temperature cannot be controlled as I get super freezing temperature when the a/c is on. Great for kids experiment on condensation when the sliding doors are opened.

In room entertainment need some upgrade. Have you all considered the on demand movie that Vision 4 provides to most other hotels? Thats a great deal to have especially for kids.

Spice Cafe is the only positive with good flow it runs for the breakfast and night buffet. At least the flow is clear and most guests adheres to the rules.

Another hint.. Most hotels service staff (be it front desk, station cleaners, engineers) would greet the guests.... a simple nod would suffice..... I hardly get this here. Such hellos or greetings albeit insincere at heart goes a long way.

it is a very nice hotel close to the beach and the facilities are awesome with very nice breakfast available and the staff are always happy, smiling and polite. the rooms are very clean and spacious with a free mini bar provided to start your stay. There is also a daily two hour period where you are able to drink unlimited cocktails and evening tea with snacks is also free of charge. the resort area where you can ask for a massage, is very clean and full of shady areas and nice pools.

Their service is a bit slow but otherwise, everything was great!

Had lunch at the Pinang Bar. The whole pool area is very pretty, giant trees, grass, I had the margerita pizza which looked disappointing when it came out because there was very few tomatoes or herbs but it tasted very good. Service was very attentive. Price was as expected for a five star hotel but not more expensive than the sane in Australia.

A very luxury hotel. The view from the balcony is good and you can spend it comfortably.
You can reach the city by free shuttle bus.
There are restaurants and convenience stores within 5 minutes on foot.

The Spice Market has lots of variety but i am a bit dissappointed with no fresh oyster on saturday night buffet dinner.

Aged resort but well maintained. Overall stuff service is good and timely. Not much facilities for a beach resort but good place to chill with the seaview

Best hostel in Los Angeles. Where to place the name of Shangri-La. The scale and facilities are also the best. (A little old but ..) If you go to Penang, of course I want to stay again. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner.

5 stars hotel restaurant that a rat running around yet after complaining to the staff just answered you " just a garden rat" then rolled her eyes. Must call health department to check on the restaurant

Attractive, well-established and smoothly run resort. Staff were helpful and pleasant but I've found friendlier and more proactive ones elsewhere eg Rasa Ria in Sabah Borneo.
Good value with give back a night mid week deal. Kids loved facilities and beach.

Breakfast and buffet - Excellent.
Rooms - large and clean.
Balcony- large and excellent views.
Bar - excellent service.
All staff provide very good service and it's a truly 5 star service.
Taxis are easily available from maindoor.

Myself and my family had stayed in this resort for 7 nights recently. We stayed the room at Rasa Wing. Overall, we're quite satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the quality of foods especially for breakfast. It has a big shadded garden adjacent to the beach where it is quite relaxed for reading or taking a nap as it is windy. I would recommend to anyone who wish to stay in this resort.

Nice hotel! Very clean and relax environment. Have good view at seaside. Many delicious foods to choose for dinner and breakfast. You can have fun in the lounge after dinner. A nice place for personal and family vacation. Great!!!

Nice hotel, however far from the city and far from the airport, making every trip to the city a waste of time. It is a Shangri La s hotel standard, however majority of the employees are not happy. They all tend to smile but just for the tip, not because they want to smile. No complaints, but I don t think I ll come again!!

I used to have in my mind that here have the best buffet breakfast in town. Not anymore!!! Food qualities are deteriorating.

Very quiet now but they treat us like kings and all the staff know us by name. Fabulous breakfast but not all f&b outlets are open due to covid19. Can't blame them. Weekends are better. The pool is great and plenty of eateries nearby.

Attended an office event here. This is one of the old 5 star beach hotel in Penang Island. Despite its age, overall condition still very well maintained. Classy decor and ambient. Service is great and food serve at restaurant is of good standard as well. It is abit pricy for personal holiday, if one can afford, why not? Otherwise, one can always consider next door Golden Sand, its sister casual holiday hotel!

Nice hotel and the beach was clean. The staff here were also very friendly and helpful.
