Delicious. Great they open at 4.30, shame not 4pm. Food always hot and fresh and will always adapt a dish if you ask. Spot on.

I order here at least once every two weeks love it every single time food always top qual , lovely friendly staff and quick delivery time with lovely delivery drivers couldnt ask for any more thank you all so much keep up the good work

Our favourite Chinese in Telford. You can see them prepare your food in an open plan kitchen. Never had any problems with the food.

Wish I could vote less than one star, used to order from here for a long time then went else where as its closer. Coming past tonight we ordered chicken chow mein, egg fried rice, chips and a sauce each. BBQ and Sweet & Sour. Bbq sauce wasn't too BAD. Ate as I was hungry now regretting it, wish I just had beans on toast. Chow mein full of pepper and that's all you can taste, chips hard and tasteless, rice sticky and over cooked.
Will not be coming here again. Won't be recommending to anyone unless they enjoy pepper and mush.

Highly recommend. Food is delicious; hot and tasty. Yuk Sung amazing with crunchy, fresh lettuce and the sweet n sour King Prawn balls yummm! Only problem is it's cash only but it doesn't put me off. Will be using again, definitely.

If picked up it's nice though they have got sauces mixed up twice not checking orders .
Chips are awful on delivery cold and hard, more than once.

Average ..had special fried rice.. meat on the top sat on plain fried rice not very special..chicken was a bit rubbery like it had been boiled

We had used another Chinese for years unfortunately quality of food and service we tried Shanghai star first delivery and food excellent second time we tried to order they said due to road works they couldn't deliver to our area third time a week later was told Saturday was busy and under management discretion is whether they deliver to our area shame really food good but don't select your areas you either want the customers or not

The cleanliness has decreased.
Found a hair in my food a few months ago .. they did offer m a voucher for food however i was put off for quite a while when I did reorder i didnt just get a food voucher but also FOOD POISONING.

Shanghai star... This place doesn t deserve any stars! You re not fooling anyone we know those chicken balls aren t chicken more like badger. First of all the batter is full of oil, tasted like it as well, the chicken is gristley and tastes like it s been cooked in chemicals, left my mouth feeling sour, not the first bad experience I ve had either from this place!

The best Chinese takeout ever in my opinion. Kitchen always looks clean and the staff are very friendly. They are normally fairly quick for takeout. The longest I've ever had to wait was 30 minutes and it was extremely busy at the time. I find the usual waiting time is 5-10 minutes from the time you place your order.

1sr time I've ordered from here, and certainly won't be the last. And came alot quicker then expected.

Food isn't so great. To be honest I only go in there cos the woman behind the counter there is really hot.

absolutely vile. ordered satay chicken (sauce) came with a thick layer of grease/oil over it. tried to separate it but the whole dish taste greasy and bitter. Definitely won't be returning there again

Food and general quality has consistently got worse... but 4.5 hours waiting for a meal and then abuse from the staff... no wonder we won't be returning.

Day 3 of my daughter and her partner being I'll. I had to 999 my daughter and her partner is under the doctor. They had nothing all day apart from this at 9.00pm. They ordered chilli chicken x2 and the egg fried rice. I am certain all of the reviews on here are fake. Food and hygiene rating of only 1 star says it all but when ordering off just eat you dont to get to see this rating. I have spoken to environmental health, hence being closed last night and now health and hygiene are involved. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Ordered King prawn curry and orange chicken. The King Prawn was mostly onion and very little king prawn, as well as being very oily. The orange chicken was an oily, sticky mess. The egg fried rice has little or no egg. V unimpressed.

Love the food, always order from here however I'm not too happy about the fact that I found plastic wrapping in my crab and sweet corn soup :/

Normally love this place, brought a beef and mushroom curry with egg fried rice tonight for my dad, and the whole thing tasted like chemicals. He couldn't eat any of it... Absolutely disgusted.

I travelled 15 miles and ordered chicken curry and satay chicken. It is without doubt the worst food i have ever tasted. Never to return.

Moved over from another well respected Chinese takeaway in Telford and have to say the food is excellent, always speedy delivery & Hot.

Food was piping hot when it was delivered and the food was to die for best food I have ever had from a take away will be ordering from here from now on and the driver was ever so polite

I really have gone off Chinese, won t order it ever because it s always greasy and not nice ! BUT decided to give it a whirl as it s been on my doorstep for two years! I had the Cantonese king Prawn Sweet & Sour & it was lovely! The veg was crispy, the sauce wasn t gloopy, the prawns were huge and plenty of them! It really was nice! Definitely use again & will definitely recommend!

Ordered food at 7:39pm, food arrived at 9:25pm. Not happy at all.
When rang they hadn t even cooked it. There was kids food in that order as well! Takes the biscuit!!!!
For the delivery driver to then stand there and argue over a penny until I showed him the email confirmation and to top it off not all the order was there!

Beef chow mein, beef could do with being cut into smaller pieces and a bit greasy. But I've had far worse.

Ordered crispy beef, tasted like dog food. Everything has been pinged in the microwave not cooked from fresh. Chicken was so salty, and to top it off I had a very cold bit of chicken mid bite whixh I spat out straight away. Rank. The last More

First and last time we will be ordering food from here. Chip's and prawn crackers were nice but everything else was bland and tasteless. Very disappointing.

Arrived on time minus one item, which I had to phone up for, it was delivered straight away, but Not impressed with the taste of my meal at all! Also It was just warm enough, not hot.
Was looking forward to a really tasty dinner but was very disappointed.

Ordered online! Hassle free, didn't have to wait long at all. When food arrived it was still hot! Quality of food was high and it was very delicious! You get a hell of a lot! Overall very happy customer

This has been our regular for nearly two years, and now they know our preferences and likes as soon as we call.

Great variety for all tastes including spicy (Singapore Fried Rice is a must) or vegetarian. Everyone we've shared with enjoys the dishes and entrees, and timing is always good, even at peak times.

Used to use this Chinese all the time at one point but really started to go down hill, one night we had received a curry where the chicken was still pink! After that we went to oriental pearl. We decided to retry again the other day and again was disappointed. Chose to collect and the manager was shouting at her staff while they were cooking which I think is unacceptable especially in front of customers, the chips tasted like they had been reheated and were hard and the rice was disgusting and all stodgy they only have a hygiene rating of 1 which I know the overall score can be affected by paperwork also but I don't think this is the case at all! Definitely never going back.

Chicken balls were disappointing, sweet and sour is bad, Szechuan is bad,
However squid is amazing and spicy chicken is good. Portions are good sizes and proper chunks of chicken.

Used to be our regular weekly Chinese but last few times odd items not delivered but still charged. When you phone to explain you're basically called a liar. Will have to look elsewhere now which is a shame as food was generally good but customer service is now appalling.

The best Chinese takeaway I know, but I tend to only have one of two dishes: Chicken in Kung Po Sauce or Chicken in Szechuan Sauce, both spicy hot. The Chicken in Kung Po Sauce is the best. The portions sizes are good and the food is cooked in an open plan kitchen where it is possible to have a peek at the cooking process, which is interesting, very much exactly what you might find in China or Hong Kong - I have been there, so authentic Chinese food definitely deserving 5 stars.

This is by far the best Chinese Takeaway in the local area. We have had numerous meals from here and they have never failed to produce the best of Chinese food. If collecting, one can watch the expert catering staff cooking the delicious food in the open plan kitchen and additionally one can see the sheer cleanliness of the catering facilities. Great and congratulations Shanghai Star.
