If you get a room numbered in the 400's your in for a walk. To have to get 2 lifts @ opposite end on the hotel to your room is strange. Having said that the room was comfortable & the food 1st class. I might never be back but if I'm down this way then no hesitation I to checking in here.

Poor customer service (in the aftermath, fine when in the location). Car got scratched while in the car park at front of reception and they promised to send on the footage from car park cameras...Lo and behold after numerous phone calls, emails and promises from them they wouldn't send me anything...gave up in the end!

Steam room & Jacuzzi broken during duration of stay also

Went for food and giving it two stars seems generous to be fair, the staff were all friendly and good but the food it's self was bland and tastless/burnt or dripping in greece.
There was a group of 9 of us and we all said the same thing which isn't great on your part.

Abbeyleix Active Retirement attended the Carlow Active Retirement Annual Dinner Dance today, 29th September. We had a lovely day. Beautifully laid tables, delicious food served by very obliging young staff and finished with very lively music. A great day had by all. Thank You.. Yvonne Porter. PRO for the Group.

Very spacious corridors, so you walk a while to the room. Otherwise top. It looks great. The rooms are perfect, the bathroom was okay. The food tastes good. The staff is very friendly. The in-house pub with live music lifts the mood. Due to the many room offers also particularly well suited for groups. I would like to come back again. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great, cozy hotel, spacious rooms, awful stay.

Great, cozy hotel, spacious rooms, awful stay.
Very old equipment in the gym that falls apart, creaky or not centred.
Extremely cold in the room that kept me awake the whole night. Warmer in the hallway and lovely to spend time in the reception area and the restaurant. Lovely, helpful staff at reception and restaurant.
Reception staff apologised and offer to refund, but the sleepless night still remains.

My Partner and I visited this Hotel last weekend, We travelled from Dublin. I must say our stay was very plesant, The staff were very helpful, Breakfast was plentiful and tasty The Gym and pool was very clean. The rooms and hotel is big but just a little tired looking in general. If your looking for a weekend break from Dublin an hours drive away, I would recommend here.

Not stayed here but had a meeting there it was under refurbishment as saw painters passing very old fashion but look clean to the eye. A member of staff Male show me to the meeting room as there was too many direction s to follow. I think staff take it fir granted that we will know where were going 1st time there. I mean that in a good way. I don't know the cost of rooms. But the bar looked like a nice place to have a drink and a bit of grub. Also open fire in reception which is always warming especially in Irish weather.

Stayed again at the seven oaks in carlow for our first wedding anniversary. This was a special day for us and as we arrived we were recognised and asked is it a year already. From the moment we walked through the front doors it felt like home. Given the bridal suite again was a bonus but myself and Lisa would have happily stayed in any of the rooms in the seven oaks. Dinner once again was a belly buster and the desserts were divine. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough once again the management, serving staff, reception Desk and everyone else involved a home away from home for every occasion we will return for our anniversary next year.
