It's taken me a while, to some up my opinion on the Caravan site so let's get break it down into pros and cons with a summary. Pros: Entertainment, Shop, Launderette, Local beaches, Coop, Lidl and bakery nearby, Caravans are Clean, Caravans have most essentials (TV, Microwave and Heating), more such as Dishwasher if you pay for upgraded Caravans, Good deals if you are willing to wait. Arcade indoors, Heated indoor swimming pool which has lifeguards and is really clean, Small soft play area. A bar restaurant on site (quite pricey though), other children events ongoing such as Outside children's play area, Archery, pottery, dancing, swimming lessons, bike lessons, nature walks all usually free unless there is supplies required like pottery and crafts. The entertainment also has Bingo as well as children's disco so to say well packed place. There is a bus service out of the gates that can take you to Edinburgh and Edinburgh Zoo. Local taxi services too. Cons: No WiFi (away from the main complex) the mobile signal strength is hitty missy. The walls of the caravan are not well insulated so it doesn't stop the outside noises, staff availability around the complex can be at times quite sparse especially after 6pm. Gas hob and ovens can be quite scarry if not used to it. Seagulls dancing on the roof at 5am (yes it quite a noise). Children's Disco should be a little Earlier especially for under 10s. Soft play area should be monitored the restrictions of 12 and under was broken by teenagers who were rough housing each other which was not a good thing to encourage a 5 year old. The placement of families with special needs was not good (We specifically told the reception at the time of booking we need to be close to the main complex but were ignored even making our reasons why.) Cigarette butts around the Caravan, I know that guests are responsible for this, however it is a shame that some guests can be so inconsiderate. The air freshener used in the caravans can be quite overpowering. Lastly dangerous rubbish in the outside play area we found broken glass but we binned it to save others. In summary the site was great and would recommend,it is not a chav holiday (priced not cheap) but a reasonable priced family holiday especially a family of 5. My children really need enjoyed the facilities and that is the whole point of our holiday and the Entertainment crew did a splendid job (Thanks Girls).

I have no hesitation in giving the beautiful caravan, Priscilla, 5 stars. In fact, if there were 6 stars, I'd definitely give it that!
The layout of the caravan is very clever with an excellent use of space. The lounge is spacious with a long sofa providing plenty of seating and a very nice log effect fire. The single reclining leather chair with footstool is a touch of luxury!
The dining table extends so can be adapted to the number of people and the kitchen is of a very high standard and superbly equipped. It was great to see all the cutlery, cooking utensils, crockery and glasses all matching, 8 of everything and beautifully presented. No mis-matched, chipped plates - I've seen plenty of other accommodations not a patch on this!
The bedrooms are more than adequate and well-designed to provide wardrobes and shelves. And it was great to have 1.5 bathrooms, so two toilets.
Another excellent point about the caravan is that there is plenty of heating and hot water plus a very nice veranda. And all super-clean!
The site itself is lovely and the bus service is good. Just a point to mention is that your own bed linen and towels are required or you may be able to hire them from reception and that you may need to buy a card for some of the facilities such as swimming pool and entertainment.
In short, I'd go back in a flash!

Lacking in entertainment. Staff forgot to supply bedding and we were missing a mattress which we contacted them about several times during the first day. Caravan was clean and had all the things you need however no internet is provided and signal on most networks isn't perfect. We left a day early

We used the touring pitch. I was a euro pitch so had all the facilities needed. The touring pitches are situated in a far corner of the site but it's still only a 5 minute walk to the main complex. The park was nice and clean and all the staff were very friendly. Only thing I would say is if you are scared of spiders be wary. I seemed to have lots of little spiders in me constantly, they seems to float around the park hanging on webs.

Service, cleanliness poor ,dog poo everywhere, This place doesn't deserve any stars it's the worst haven park I've ever been too . Very little staff behind the bar to serve people, I ordered chips and gets told it's an hour wait , the swimming pool doesn't look clean too, this whole place is revolting people should really think hard about coming here , then again from what I've seen of the kind of people that are here its giro valley...will never set foot in this camp again

Thought Tummel valley was a bad location but at least the caravan was lovely .
By comparison this is a better location but caravan is the pits . Awful had to get an upgrade from the deluxe but the next one is just as bad . No nets at windows cars keep stopping opposite for bin so can see right in . Its in an extremely windy spot so its noisy . Door stuck in kitchen cant get plates out .No iron . Quilt cover ripped . You sink in bed to the floor mattress is awful . Nice birthday weekend !!!! Would not return .

Anyone who knows British or British-run holiday parks on this scale can roughly imagine what to expect.
Huge premises with mostly fixed (rental) caravans, pool area, activities, bar / restaurant and much more. Overall occupancy declined at the end of August.
Tourer pitches (about 50) are set up a little bit outside. The area itself is very well laid out, but the facilities are below average. Behind the wooden cladding on the outside there are a few washing and toilet containers that were not particularly clean. Comfort - even if you don't really need it, isn't there anyway. Unless you are standing on shower stalls, where an airplane toilet appears to be spacious.
All this is available for 55, - Scottish pounds or about 60, - per night for 2 people. Well ...
If you are not put off by this: it is not wrong as a starting point for Edinburgh trips. The double-decker bus stop is in front of the square. You can travel to E'burg in about an hour for 1.70 (4.00 day ticket). Car is also possible: the Princes Exchange Car Park in Riego St. is relatively good and is still affordable (4-6 hours approx. 10, -)
