Very nice and well equipped store with friendly staff.

Nothing makes it to the former Donner, but still a good collection in the old bank building.

An amazing bookstore full of genres, board games and very nice merchandise. Important to note is the fact that most of the books are in Dutch, though they do have English sections. Donner has an extensive collection of fantasy novels (a whole section dedicated to Harry Potter!), as well as scientific books, which makes it a go-to place for anyone with a mild interest in geekiness!

Always like to walk in here. It is currently under construction. But books continue to book.

Expensive (check boekwinkeltjes.nl for all books for better prices!!!) But friendly people and very large selection of books on all subjects, especially large pop-up book department!!

Very expensive restaurant. More than 6 euros for an otherwise moderate sandwich.

A unique store in every way. The style, the staff and the products. You can spend hours browsing books, magazines, notebooks, and a designer/artsy gift selection most museum gift shops would envy. Every time I come back I discover new things.

Check out the cafe too. Due to renovations it moved (is moving?) But the selection of drinks, snacks and food is nice, and the atmosphere great to read a newly purchased book.

A nice and big bookstore. A wide variety of books, both in Dutch and English, also a small section of other languages. A corner where you can find mangas and light novels as well. Also sells boardgames. The employees are very kind. Definitely worthy of a re-visit.

A huge and extensive bookstore, where they can help you at the desk. If they don't have something, they are always ready to order it.

The only downside for me is that the gifts / cards / specials / gadgets department is almost exclusively very expensive. I will therefore not succeed for anything other than a book itself.

Lovely to wander around and take a break for coffee with cake and a newspaper of your choice. Unfortunately, the staff is not always in a good mood.

Very nice place to walk around and browse some books to your liking. Besides the normal categories, they also have a lot of nice books about Rotterdam.

Love this place. Great selection of books. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. One disadvantage, though: I always end up buying more books than I originally planned.

Beautiful bookshop with a very large selection. In all areas. Also for special gift.

This is, of course, the superlative of a bookstore. If Donner isn't selling a book, it's not worth it to be read!

THE bookstore in Rotterdam, nice atmosphere, skilled staff and large, well-arranged collection

Nice location, fairly large assortment, friendly employees.

Donner is working on a renovation at the moment I am writing this review, but you can still purchase all your books there. Donner is simply the best bookstore in Rotterdam, for every population group. The staff are friendly and helpful and there are escalators instead of normal stairs, which saves walking again.

Not only books, but also many nice original gifts and cards that are just a bit nicer and more original than at other shops. My go-to store for books and cards!

Great bookstore, complete with books in Dutch, English and French. There is a business book session downstairs, next to a library of old books.
Upstairs, games, comics (comics) and a super charming cafe.

Due to the renovation, this store is, temporarily, less than it should be. However, they know how to limit the nuisance enormously. The offer is still diverse and large.

Only the supply of second-hand books is more limited due to the renovation. They have less space for it.

Prices of the books are normally priced. They have a lot of choice, definitely worth scoring a nice book.

Would have been 5 stars but the renovation is causing the shop to feel a bit more chaotic. Still an excellent bookstore with a dedicated staff and a very large and good selection.

What a superb book shop! But it's so much more too! The building is absolutely amazing and steeped in history (spent ages just looking at the front). The shop has a great range of other things such as games and stationary, and lecture theatres and a cafe. The whole kaboodle. Spent ages just browsing and soaking up the atmosphere. A good selection of English books too.

Nice and charming bookstore at the center of the city! There are books in Dutch, English and French. There are also card games, boardgames, CDs, DVDs, and a lovely coffee place at the upper floor.
Worth a visit!!

More in the collection than just books (nice !!). But a store also stands or falls with its employees. Unfortunately, this is not Donner's strong point.

Beautiful monumental building. That is an experience in itself. Furthermore, a wealth of books that you will not get bored with.

I love books and there is much more choice here than in the bookstore in our village. For us an outing. Fortunately, there is also a cafe in it, so that we can take a break while strolling.

Stroll endlessly through this store. You are short of eyes. A very extensive collection for everyone. Staff very professional.

Very large bookstore. Often been, always successful. Very nice staff. For me, visiting Donner is more like going out than shopping.

It's a good thing, but it used to be a bit better, just the atmosphere. Maybe even the prices ... now it's all a bit messy which is a shame. But hey, you can't do much about it. Recommended if you are a bookworm (like me)!

The last major bookstore in Rotterdam. Now in new building, or rather rebuilt. Still a bit messy, but the basis is ready all parts are only accessible by stairs. Lunch is okay. Card has right spread staff well
