Whenever we come to Rotterdam, we visit the Donner bookstore. Today we visited the new store for the first time. What an asset for Rotterdam! Very large selection and many nice items to give as a gift. Can sniff around for hours.

Always helpful and friendly staff, and a selection large and varied enough to spend a few hours browsing. In addition, a nice gift / accessories department on the top floor for gifts, so it is recommended!

Very nice and pleasant shop. They have a very wide range and it is nice that the second-hand department continues to exist. The store is open while a renovation is in progress, of course the store will close temporarily, but for the time being everything is well organized and you will not notice much of the renovation. I am very curious about the new store. It is also nice to order online, great website and good prices. Nice that a bookshop has survived, hopefully they will keep it up.

With some imagination you can see a bookshop as a space station, from which you can move to many worlds by means of the available literature. In this respect, Donner is the Central Station, which is currently being renovated. An entire floor will be added. I am happy that there is so much enthusiasm for 'traveling' in time, space and ideas that Donner can expand. Like every station, Donner has a restoration for its travelers. You can now find it on the first floor. I would like to come back to see how the renovation is progressing.

A large bookstore in the center of Rotterdam. Now the renovation. Restoration of new construction is coming to its end, there is finally peace for the customer instead of having to search again every time you come to Rotterdam for the books that interest you. When it comes to travel and language books, they have a wide choice but there are also things sold here that you would not expect at a bookstore. There is also a second Hansen book store in the same building with a small selection of DVDs and CDs. They also have an advantage angle, but then you have to climb the stairs instead of the escalator. Because you end up with the escalator on the 2nd and for the bargains you have to be in between!

One of the few bookshops in Holland where you'll have no problem finding english books. You can find all kinds of books (even manga) on all subjects here. Second hand books, A huge variety in world maps and globes, Puzzles, And a lot of other cool stuff. It also has a cafe inside and they have live lectures and presentations some days.

Quite an interesting book store with a huge collection of various kinds of books of course. But their stationary collection is also pretty cool. Great place to get gifts for your literary friends !

It starts to look a bit like the old 'real' Donner again. A store with books. Renovation is pretty spectacular. Has it already been completed?

In the restaurant I ordered a sandwich which I did not like.
I said something about that, but that woman wanted to correct me and I was not allowed to say that I thought it was dirty. Until herself in the store she chased me and said it again. What a rude and arrogant person that is. She must have been very tough with her colleagues for doing that. I will NEVER buy my books from Donner through her. This woman has no chance. She should read a booklet about customer friendliness.

Donner is a concept in Rotterdam and far beyond. Some boast their former place, a modern box, but this place exudes the smell of books from all its veins.

The bookstore for Rotterdam and the surrounding area !!! Housed in the old ABNAMRO building. It has been an excellent move after being forced to leave the previous building. Quality sells itself!

Lots of choice in books and can read quietly at the cafe upstairs ... trendy like everywhere nowadays at most bookstore ... It could be better but they were in the renovation ...

Huge book store, but very disorganized to my taste. I was looking for 2 specific books, but didn't manage to find either of them on my own. Staff helped me after asking for help... But they didn't approach me though it must have been easy to spot I was in desperate need of assistance

Bookstore Donner is a concept. The business has been part of the Rotterdam city center for decades. The current location is, I believe, the third incarnation of Donner, once started on the Meent, then moved to a corner building on the Lijnbaan and now located in a former bank building on the Coolsingel, made possible after a successful crowdfunding that shows how much Donner carries in the heart. A large bookstore with an extensive range of domestic and foreign literature. Richly sorted. The renovation has not yet been completed, but Donner is alive. You will not soon leave empty-handed. Not to be missed for those looking for a book or a surprisingly related gift too.
