I recently came to Segerstroms to see The Book of Mormon which was an amazingly funny comedy about Mormon missionaries in Africa. To be truthfully honest I had purchased tickets very late and was only able to acquire some nosebleed seats. With all that aside from where I sat I could see the stage pretty well but I could not make out the facial expressions on the actors. The acoustics are very well in the auditorium that we were in which I am assuming is their main stage. The center was very beautiful and the ushers were very friendly. What I did not like but cannot blame anyone is the line in the mens room during intermission. It would have been very comforting to have another bathroom on the other side of the center so that all the men didn't have to wait for the row of urinals and toilets to become available. I can only fathom what it must have been like for the women during this. All in all a very nice place to come and get a little taste of culture.

I've only been to the big main theatre, Segerstrom Hall, and I absolutely love it. A lot of the touring Broadway shows that stop in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson and Pantages tend to stop here as well. You'll just have to wait a few months to a year. The parking, traffic to and from is a lot easier than anything in LA.

Watched the Once musical here, which was wonderfully done. The music and performers were great and I loved the show. The Center is comfortable and small enough that there does not seem to be any really bad seats in the auditorium. I think the main challenge is parking which can be expensive. Staff at the Center all seemed friendly and warm.

This is a very classy, well designed theatre. We sat in row U and could see fine, it has an intimate feel. Lots of leg room in the row, you don't have to stand up to let someone pass. Superb friendly staff. Highly recommend!

I have seen many great performances here!! The acoustics are amazing, and I have had seats from the front row to the balcony, and they are all great! If you can get yourself invited to the Center Room for intermission, it is even more special!!

The Theatre was nice and modern, but the facilities were lacking in quanity. I have been to Broadway shows in New York and they had more restrooms in theatres half this size. I brought my wife to watch 'Wicked' and before going we ate at Leatherby's Cafe Rouge. Which I recommend because if you eat there the Valet is only $10 instead of $20 and regular self parking is $10 anyways, also you get 10% off your bill by printing out their online coupon and showing your tickets. Seating was uncomfortably close, they really did the minimal to get the most seats at little cost. If you have a choice of going to the same show at another Theatre I highly recommend it. The performance was great but I felt the Theatre was a scam, in the sense of getting too many people too closely put in one place with insufficient facilities. There were astronomical lines to both the mens and womens restrooms well after the curtain during intermission, so do expect to wait till you leave to get to use the restroom.

Oddly shaped layout. We're traveling from out of town and bought tickets last minute. Our seats in the back were a little too far away compared to other performing arts centers that we've been too. Aside from that, it was easy in and out and a great location.

I attended the 1/8 performance of Kinky Boots. I was seated in the orchestra terrace section.
I was very disappointed with this performance. It was impossible to hear the words the characters were singing as it seemed the music was too loud. The 2 others in my group thought this as well. Going out of the theater, I met 2 of my neighbors (also with Orch terrace seats) who made the same comment or that their microphones were not working correctly. After having spent $79, I am sad to say I will not recommend this play to anyone.

Although I'm personally partial to ornate grade theatres like the Pantages or El Capitan, Segerstrom Hall is a nice venue. Extraordinary acoustics are it's hallmark so concerts and musicals really shine here. Quality sound even takes precedent over traditional seating as the cock-eyed, four tier arrangement is a bit of a distraction.

Attended many varied performances with the Pacific Symphony. All were excellent. The acoustics and visibility of this venue are excellent. Beverages are pricey with cocktails and wine $15 - $20. Purchased beverages with lids may be brought into the auditorium. Remember to bring cough drops or lozenges to minimize disturbances during the performance.

Nice place, but tickets are expensive, even for the highest seats.

They honestly should also ask if people have issues with heights, as it might give you vertigo, especially when trying to get around with all the steps, much of which from an entry door has no complete railing, and what there is is only on one side!

I don't think I'll go back, but it was a nice performance.

The pacific orchestra was just amazing and the soloists violin Clara Kang did a phenomenal job with the concerto. I have never heard an orchestra so clean. The Segerstrom center is very modern and beautiful decorated.

Beautiful exterior structure. However, the navigation within structure -- be prepared to get your stair steps in. Have to step up flights only to step down into hall doors, only to once again, step up again to get to one's seat. Unorthodox level seating, I seem to get a stiff neck after a performance in the orchestra terrace or higher; seems like one is tilted to the stage. Restrooms are only on certain floors and too small especially for the ladies. Not a bad venue if one doesn't want to go into LA to see theater. Good selection of nearby restaurants around venue.
