Elegance and culture in the OC. Adjacent to the shopping mecca of Orange County (Southcoast Plaza) the Segerstrom Center for the Arts is a beautiful mid-size venue that offers dazzling performances and comfortable seating. I saw Philip Glass and the Kronos Quartet score the classic Hollywood horror film "Dracula" and it was fantastic. Great sound and not a bad seat in the house. Enjoy!

Sat pretty far on the side on the Loge level, but felt like I could see everything pretty well. The line is very long for the restroom during intermission. We weren't allowed to bring leftover food or metal water bottles.

Great venue for a concert, lots of restaurants for dinner (may need a reservation for some); plenty of parking! Only suggestions is more attendants to direct people to the correct entrance into the concert hall especially for popular artists that draw a big crowd.

I have been wanting to watch Phantom of the Opera forever and finally had the chance. Segerstrom Center for the Arts is such an awesome theater. I will come back again to watch Anastasia in October.

Wonderful romantic concert tonight, Barber, Bruch, Mendhelshon. Tried the Cafe Rouge for the first time: they're not quite there yet. Prices are up there, but the service and the food, while great, are not quite the exceptional they would like us to believe they are.

This is a great place to see the theater, music, and all kinds of art activities. The concert hall is so beautiful. I have came here for three different shows in three different halls, each of them is so pretty to be inside. Very well built and well maintained. The workers here are very nice.

A spectacularly elegant concert hall located next to the Segerstrom Performing Arts Center and South Coast Repertory, home to the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Offers a series of classical concerts as well as pops,
Holiday, and visiting guest artists.

A world class venue designed exclusively for symphonic music, and ONLY for symphonic music. Easy access from the freeway, tram service to and from the parking structure, refereshment/cocktail bars on every level, SUPERB acoustics and sight lines and plush, comfortable seating. But the real jewel in the Center's crown is that, acoustically and aesthetically speaking, it's superior to Walt Disney Hall, home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

One of the biggest performing arts centers in the area. Truly a magnificent facility, loved all the events I've been too here.

And they have great shows year around! Staff and ushers are all very friendly and its very kept.

Vibe Dance Competition has been held here for the past couple of years too!

Went to see Shen Yun, beautiful show! I really like the Segerstrom Center because it is very intimate it's a smaller venue but that's what's so great because you're really able to capture the show that you're there to see without feeling overwhelmed by the size of the theater.

My comment is purely about the sound. If you have ever had the opportunity to enjoy one of the three theaters at La Jolla Playhouse, you know what sound in the theater can mean to the performance. Clear, crisp, every lyric or spoken word telling the great story on stage. BUT Segerstrom stage, who touted the "best sound" when they built it back in 1986 has been a huge disappointment. My family has faithfully subscribed to broadway, symphonies, ballets and concerts, hoping that with todays technology options they would surely fix the bad sound. How can they not be getting comments from the patrons? It is such a disservice to its paying audience and those amazing productions to not invest in the equipment that would make your theater great. Is anyone at the Center listing? PLEASE do something about the sound. Can anyone hear me out there?

Beautiful event location. The main theater is absolutely stunning, great sound system, lighting board and curtain abilities. There are no bad seats in this theater. There are three complete levels and all of them are worth the price you pay.
Usher's are very knowledgeable, very friendly and way beyond helpful.
Bathrooms are clean and interesting. This is the first time I've ever went into a bathroom that has a foot plunger. They're all set up for right footed people, but it's nice to not have to touch the toilet bowl.
If you're looking for a wonderful place to have an event such as a wedding, a theater production, or an awards banquet, you might want to look at Segerstrom Center.
I even received an award tonight!

Wonderful venue but parking is not great. We paid to park in the adjacent structure ($10) and after the show it took about 40 minutes once we were in the car to exit the structure. Too much traffic for the building and it was on a Sunday afternoon.

Great.

We went there to see Cats musical and watch it from the lat row. Even though it was far up, the view was good. The performance setup + ambience was great. I would definitely come back.

The parking as mentioned is $12 so a tad steep, but it's close distance to the performance center. (There are two available on opposite side of each other - one has direct path to the center)

Always a wonderful experience every time I have attended a show here. Beautiful venue with fantastic views from almost every seat. Tickets can be a little pricey, but it's always been worth it.

Best customer service ever!! I made a mistake when ordering tickets for blue man group and bought 2 tickets for the same row but in different areas Yes. Me and online ticket sales don't go well together. But the lady who answered the phone (yes!!! They actually do answer the phone!!) Was able to help me at no extra charge. This human touch puts them in a category all on their own. YOU guys ROCK!!

The musical Anastasia was performing here in the fall and I really wanted to see this musical. I grew up watching the movie and wanted to relive the music and story. The center is located nearby the Costa Mesa Plaza and it has a few parking structures. It is best to get early before the show starts because parking lines can get long. Before you enter the center, you need to go to security and metal detectors. You can rent out binoculars if your seats are far away from the stage. The cost is $8.00 and you need to leave your ID while you are in possession of them.

My seat was E6 in the Loge section. You get a good view of the stage and do not need to get binoculars unless you want to see the facial expressions on the actors. The seats are comfy, clean, and the staff are friendly to answer questions or give you directions. The sound system is clear and the effects on stage are amazing. There is no need for big props or background changes. The effects were good to set the imagery and tone of the scenes. I was impressed by the center and do look forward to seeing more shows here.
