Might want to let people know that during COVID19 their prequal. letter less than 90 days old is invalid now before they go looking for, place an offer on, and get offer accepted by a house they love, even though that person is working full time amongst the public during the pandemic. You re welcome I guess.

Part of a corrupt group of realtors. I bought my home from a corrupt realtor, and these folks were part of a scam where I wasn't informed about lead paint in the home or given 10 days to assess it. They sent an appraiser who supposedly had the FHA checklist and nothing was mentioned. THEN they sold the mortgage to Wells Fargo before I had even made the first payment. Not only that, their closing process is really weird. Stay FAR away. SEFCU is not the company it once was. I thought I was getting a credit union. These folks are as bad as the big bankers. I'm even switching my banking to CapCom after all the nonsense.

Started a refi 2/2000 now 8/24/20 and still have not closed. They have dragged this along so the rate has now expired. Would not ever use them again. Now trying to get out of it without paying $$$$

Would not take out a mortgage with them again. They tell you when taking it out that there's no prepayment penalty, but they don't tell you that there's absolutely no way they allow you to prepay. They also make it as difficult as possible to pay online, in 2019. Their staff has been mostly friendly, but their policies and helpfulness is god awful.

I had a great experience with SEFCU mortgage from the very beginning. I met with Christine Hoyt and she was very nice and very responsive with emails. Signing documents was easily done electronically which meant no trips or time taken from my busy schedule. Once I was in the underwriting stage, again, I had a great experience and was always kept in the loop. Overall, great experience. ALWAYS read each document and ask questions at the closing. Closing was also an easy process, not daunting like most people make it out to be.

Lexi agnos was awesome , she helped me through every step of the home buying process. Being a first time homebuyer and not using a realtor was quite intimidating ,Lexi took the time to explain and make me extremely comfortable with the loan process . I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for an easy and simplified home buying experience.

Was completely disappointed with my experience. I had a difficult time trying to reach anybody and my questions were never answered. Ended up having to switch lenders because of such poor customer service and quality. Wouldn t recommend.

A lot of people mention good things about Sefcu mortgage lending services so I decided to give them a shot.

I recently acquired about obtaining a mortgage for a home and to figure out information about any first time home buyer programs.

I was put in contact with Elaine Dickinson, she instructed me to find a house and get a closing date setup first before giving out more information about first time home buyer grants. She did mention that grant money is available in August first come first serve.

I went through the pre-approval process, I got approved, then the next day or two I found a house and placed an offer trying to meet the deadline for the August grant.

The seller accepted my offer but a couple days later I ran into a little problem then reached out to Elaine for further assistance.

I left a voicemail message and sent over an email and got no response even though her bio on SEFCU page states that she's available after hours for our assistance if needed. I never called her after hours I called during normal business hours and still got no response so I can only imagine I probably wouldn't have gotten a response after hours.

Fast-forward to today I gave her a call to check up on those emails I sent and to get some other information from her but she was extremely rude!

I was trying to explain to her what was going on and she keep over talking me I couldn't even finish what I was saying smh..

I was already frustrated to begin with because of what's going on but I work in a professional world where I'm trained to be calm at all times but with her over talkin me it was really driving me crazy but yet I treated her professionally.

Before I could get all of my questions answered she hung up on me. Professionalism and customer service goes a long way.

I strongly recommend that she be retrained in both areas!!!

I was not treated with respect and for that reason along with her not answering my questions
I am now looking for mortgage services elsewhere..

Very slow

Very slow
Takes 3 week to close house whereas others take 1 week
Appraisal from them is just the value of your loan amount
I did a mistake
You can Avoid that

I was referred to SEFCU by a realtor I was working with. I ended up dealing with two different people one of which my realtor referred me to. At first the person who I was working with was very attentive and easy to get a hold of. It then got confusing as I was working with the other person who the realtor had referred me to. I provided the same information to both people. They each ran my credit which caused my score to drop twice. Neither one ended up being helpful or returned calls or emails. Very unprofessional.
I have since moved on and will soon close on a loan with Homestead Funding.
