My husband and I have been living at Sedgebrook for a little over a year and couldn't be happier about our decision. All the staff we have come in contact with are helpful, friendly and reliable. It has been a pleasure to have the convenience of almost everything we need right here and knowing that maintenance is taken care of with just a phone call. I have been a resident at Sedgebrook for almost 15 years, and haven t regretted a single day! The staff has been great and has made be feel safe and cared for. My children have no need to worry about me, knowing I can get immediate help, if needed. We have a wonderful medical center and two full-time doctors who give us their full attention and time with every visit. We are informed on Covid cases and Information on how to protect ourselves. We have a number of activities to choose from, except ever since Covid they have had to be curtailed. I am happy and content to live here! Sincerely, Lorraine N.

Moving to Sedgebrook was the best decision we ever made.. Felt at home the minute we walked in.

We moved into Sedgebrook 7 years ago. One of the best moves we made. Both of us joined committees and stayed busy, met lots of people and made new friends who still are people to go to when you need someone. You can stay busy or not but you are not alone. The staff is great. The food good and mealtimes a great time to socialize. You will be glad you did.

Moving to Sedgebrook Life Care Community has been the best decision of our young married life! When Katie showed us the unit, we walked in, looked out over the Terrace area to Plume Lake, bordered by the Des Plaines Walking Trail - we bought it on the spot! Writer's Group and Garden Club have been my favorite activities thus far. Oh yes, we have a Men's Discussion Group to encourage fellowship as well. Each activity functions like a small community - an opportunity to get to know others, and learn new and important information. We happen to love 95% of the excellent food selections which include plant-based choices as well as gluten-free alternatives. We are kept safe with weekly COVID-19 testing [results in 72 hrs] at present and have remained 99% disease free which is a spectacular number in the world these days! We are thankful to be here.

Visited Sedgebrook last week. Comprehensive community with health services,great. Activities and numerous other services and offerings. While in surface seems expensive considering the 90% refund when you leave a bargain Staff is very welcoming and friendly. After my visit I leased a unit and can t wait to move

My parents moved to Sedgebrook in January 2020 and they are loving it!! Sedgebrook has a wonderful team to help with the transition - from selecting a unit and explaining all of the amenities available in the impressive community to helping with the move and making you feel welcome!! It's a big transition and can be scary for seniors. Also, the Sedgebrook staff has kept all the residents very safe during this terrible Covid-19 period. Overall, a wonderful place for independent seniors to live and enjoy themselves!

Sedgebrook has been a superb home for many years for both my parents; we have been thrilled with this place. It's one thing to have lovely, safe, comfortable facilities as they do here. But when picking a home of this type, I think the key factor is the staff quality--this is Sedgebrook's greatest asset. Everyone, from expert doctors in the outstanding medical center to housekeepers, custodians, security, food service, program people, and many more--they are so kind, warm, personable, patient, and genuinely caring. They treat people as they would members of their own family. At Sedgebrook, I wouldn't describe that as "icing on the cake" -- I would say it's the cake itself.

Take over 450 people of diverse backgrounds and experiences, combine them into a harmonious and cooperative whole, and you have Sedgebrook! In my fourteen years here, I have truly enjoyed knowing so many friendly people and attending a variety of fun and stimulating programs. There s something for everyone...a spectrum from Bingo to Biology. Come and join us... we would love to have you!
