We attend often. Acting is always superb, sets creative, and usually a great play. We usually go to matinees to avoid traffic.

cozy comfortable theater for intimate performance, safe parking was $20
Wonderful and affordable perfomances. Talented actors. Student pricing opens the arts to young people!
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here watching Roz and Ray. Seattle repertory theatre offers intimate seating which can provide everyone a great seat to watch the show.
Top notch performances that push audiences to different places in the world and in the mind - and in our ability to empathize with diverse people.
Seattle Rep consistently provides high quality, challenging theater that they make accessible to people at all economic levels through a thorough selection of Pay What You Can performances.
AMAZING theatre! I instantly fell in love with the place the moment I walked in. The staff are all incredibly nice and they're willing to help you in any way possible.
I was lucky enough to watch Here Lies Love at this theatre and my god! That musical was beyond beautiful! The staging, the lighting, the audio, just every way this place was set up was wow. I'll never forget my experince here! (Of course, this experience was based on the dance floor. I don't know what it's like to sit up on the balcony, but I'm sure it would have been amazing as well.)
Very clean and friendly workers. They work with local schools for field trips and give discounts on tickets.
Huge theater with great showings. Balcony seats are the best.
Really good season. Buying tickets for next season now!
Hershey Felder never fails to deliver. I again came away having learned about the life and times of a composer from his own point of view with his works being masterfully performed. Felder also is adept at audience participation, keeping it fresh. Felder and his company obviously thoroughly research, and he really gets into character.
Two theaters in one location. The Rep has grown to be one of the best in the US, offering provocative themes and outstanding performances. In The Heights is an amazing show, as are so many others we've seen in the past few years. We are season ticket holders, and look forward to every performance.
I've been a season-ticket holder for years, and every production has been professional and enjoyable.
Showed up late so we saw the first act up stairs, so we didn't disturb any others. Second act was able to watch from our seats. Bar had two bartenders that kept the line moving.
Great theater with thought provoking plays and amazing actors and stage crew
The Nina Simone play was excellent. The building could use new wider cushier seats for sure.
Smaller than you think! But they sure do pack a lot of energy into a small space. Love the big round bar. The quote on the wall is from measure for measure
Nice place with some concessions and a large theatre. Saw, "In the Heights", and it was awesome.
Love this local theatre for the amazing performances.
Saw "Disgraced" today. EVERYONE should see or become a "witness" to this important play, which in 2013 won both a Pulitzer and Tony for Best Play, and which covers, I believe, every layer of human consciousness about race, class, and human rights, in only an hour and half.
A Thousand Splendid Suns at the Rep. Very stirring performances with beautiful and creative sets. One of the best plays I've seen in awhile.....
The performance and writing of Doll House pt.2 was excellent.
Saw In The Heights here! The show and cast were fabulous! Great to have a Seattle Theater bringing great shows and top talent.
Love the Plays here.
Woman in Black was great.
Great venue. Not too small, not to big. Just the right size! In the Heights has it all!
Friendly staff & a great play 4 women & nina simone
Good theater, lots of parking nearby. Good production
The Seattle Rep puts on amazing plays every year! Have been going to shows for years now and never disappointed. Highly recommend the 20/30 club for the younger crowd - cool experiences like walk the stage!
Went here on 08/23/2015 to see the Teen Summer Musical "Snow White and the Seven" which was an interpretation of the fairy tale performed by Seattle's youth. The show was outstanding and had original music and some of the best youth talent I've seen.
I like the fact that this theater is small and intimate but big enough to feel immersive. Parking cost of not too bad, $12 across the street in the parking garage. Drinks in the lobby have reasonable prices as well. I wouldn't hesitate to see another show here.
Amazing performances. Talented actors. Compelling storyline.
INDECENT was truly a marvel...every part of it...music & voices, story, acting, lighting and ...I don't want to say more. Just go!
One of the best places in town to see plays. Perfect size - not too large. Not too small. Easy parking across the street and not horribly expensive. Maybe $10? Plenty of food options nearby at all price levels. Huge park abutting the Rep. Plenty of outdoor activity with family and nightlife. Excellent theater. If this helped or you like this review, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks
Lovely, intimate theater. My husband and I bought the last two nosebleed seats for the last performance of In the Heights, and did not feel that we missed out on anything at all for being in the back row of the top balcony. Excellent cast and set work. I was stunned when my two seat-mates, who have been season ticketholders since 1982, left at intermission! They sure missed out.
We watched "the woman in black", a two man act, and it was a great time for everyone. We had three generations of our family watching and we all enjoyed the production.
As much as I like the plays, I don't find the staff very customer-centered. Last night we went to watch a play there despite unusual sever weather. For the same reason, there was too many absentees. THEY wanted to close the balcony - where our original seats were, so they said they're going to "upgrade" everyone to main floor. None of us were happy with our new seats: real downgrade!!!
Although they could give us better vacant seats in main floor, they asked us to go back to balcony if we're not happy with our new seats. We didn't appreciate the dishonest way that they treated us.
Great venue. Easy to see and hear what is going on from any seat.
Small, intimate space with great acoustics and a comfy feel. The seats are nice and just a little tight for space but far better than The Paramount.
Wonderful, intimate venue. There are plenty of parking lot options in the area.
As You Lkie it was exhilarating, hilarious and more emotions than I thought could experience at a play. Bravo young people! Excellent job! If the seats were bigger I would've given perfect star's.
Great venue with two theatres. We've seen m as my wonderful performances here. Latest is Hershey Felder's Beethoven. Next is his Chopin.
I have never been. It was wonderful. Easy to find bus let's u off on 1st Ave and Mercer. Two blocks east on left. A live performance with these colorful and wonderful actors. Like a living story book come to life. Wonderful scenic sets and costumes. Longer than I knew glad for intermission. Be aware very tight seating will need aisle seat and additional seat for service animals. I had two seats luckily. Had to back him in and than down. Was very good clapping at end scared him but he learns new stuff quick. Gets very stuffy last hour of show and can set off allergies/coughing. I heard a few others coughing also. Took me more than 5 to 10 minutes to stop my coughing. Leaving theatre so as to not disturb others by coughing can cause u difficulty getting back in. Prior to intermission a few people came in and out my left exit ramp more than 3 times during show. They were very quiet and considerate about it. When I attempted to re enter usher stopped me on ramp would not let me reenter and said too disruptive due to light wanted me to go to left entrance and climb over 12 or more people. I could have sat there in the theatre and coughed for 5 or 10 minutes. I told my service dog to stay. Too disruptive to get him out and back in again and told her I needed to get back to him. I guess the 3 or 4 prior entrances and exits by other patrons had special status. I said unable to do that was disabled and she had to have a senior staff person come resolve the issue. He took me back in. Other than the usher problem it was a wonderful experience and I loved the show, the story line, the costumes and the very evocative way that they presented and acted out the meanings and emotions within the story. I would like very much to come again. However, I will be bringing cough drops etc if I come again. Thanks for the great treat I loved it.
I saw Seattle Repertory Theatre's production of "Indecent," a powerful drama from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel . Excellent acting and staging. The night I went had open captioning really helped know what the dialog was when words were hard to hear and would be nice for many more plays.
