Loved the performance at the play. Second time there was better than the first.
Saw shout sister shout, it was an amazing show and the cast is filled with incredible singers.
Enjoy the plays, so nice to be close to many good restaurants.
I had the pleasure of seeing "The Great Moment" at the Seattle Rep today. Fantastic, a must-see.
High production value, consistently thought provoking, and often very ambitious. Here Lies Love and In the Heights were as good as New York.
No bad seats here. Bar/concession lines are tolerable but they could use more bathrooms.
Had a great time here, place was clean and staff were nice.
Stunning interior. Throw back to an elegant earlier time. Marvel at the architectural details. The history of the Seattle Rep is worth exploring and enhances the experience of enjoying performances.
Excellent venue with an eclectic selection of plays.
Some great shows and some cost saving disappointments. Don't even think of sitting in the balcony. You might as well be watching TV. downstairs sight lines are often just as bad. Sound under the balcony gets lost. Really too bad.
Shout Sister Shout at the Rep is excellent! Highly recommend this performance!
The current play, Indecent, is fabulous. Go see it!!!
This is a lovely venue, very comfortable and not a bad seat in the house! The show we saw (In The Heights) was delightful! I'm looking forward to future experiences here.
Haven't been here in awhile, so I hope the productions and staffing is better.
Called and got amazing service. Got us the dead last tickets to a closing show. Show was great, staff at the rep were kind and helpful. Lost and found was great. Bartenders were great. Great all around.
Went to see The Children and it didn't disappoint. The venue was surprisingly large and the play was well produced and engaging to the last second. Highly recommend catching a show.
I have been a season ticket holder the past few years at the Rep. While my biggest complaint with all the big theatre houses in Seattle is that they ALL have white male artistic directors, I do feel the Rep has worked hard the last few years to diversify the plays they have showed. My absolute favorite was Lauren Yee's the Great Leap. And all the plays feature amazing Seattle talent. I also want to give a huge shout out to the Rep for changing some of their bathrooms to gender neutral and displaying gay and trans pride flags next to statements of their commitment to being a safe place for all. Now please add more queer plays to the repertoire and add even more diversity to the directing teams!
Excellent theater group with small and large theater and thought provoking, entertaining live theater shows.
Wonderful play, great acting. We've subscribed for several years.
A first visit to this huge theater, it s very wide but even in the rear of the dress circle the view is good, if a little distant. Therefore if that is where your seats are, take binoculars (or you can hire them for $10 at the theater). The entrance foyer is amazing, well worth time just looking at the statutes and paneling, it s a history lesson in itself.
Riveting Richard III with an all-woman cast and dramatic staging
Wonderful theatre. So nice to be able to enter the theatre early and relax in the lounge, where you can chill or mingle about. Great staff. Everyone is so kind there. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the plays in the first half of 2020.
Hershey Felder as Tchaikovsky was magical and amazing. A one man show like no other.
Saw The Woman in Black; wonderful performance, staff was helpful & friendly, not a complaint to be had.
Seattle Rep was great show was excellent and the theater was well maintained
Some amazing shows here. The pricing is good and they offer season passes
Well done, fantastic music and sound effects, important subject.
It is a very nice theater and it was clean and a very nice place to go and see a play. The play choices are good. The gift shop is small and overpriced, but that is what one would expect from a theater gift shop.
Fabulous show with great actors. Only the parking situation marred the experience. People don't realize that they must add $20 - 30 to the price of the ticket.
Excellent place to see good theater, with interesting plays, outstanding local and national cast members, excellent directions and sets. We saw Sam Shepard's dramatic comedy True West that was a tour de force by the cast, set designers, director and stage crew. Very entertaining, and it wasn't even the best play we have seen this year. We get season tickets every year and it is a delight to attend their wide variety of high quality productions.
Great experience on December 15, 2019.
Shout Sister Shout, was an outstanding production featuring Carrie Compere & Carolyn Dennis-Dylan in featured roles. Theatre is an excellent space. Acoustics are very good. Seating in this conventional theatre is very tight, with little space for proper egress. Parking across the street. Special Needs parking available which was used. Payment for Special Needs is by pay machine. Make certain to place parking receipt at car windshield.
Stage Door accessible. Stage is fantastic.
Enjoy!
Short-term association worthy of show halls, science museum, children's museum, impressive playground and feeding services are the weakest link in the chain worthy of improvement
I've always enjoyed the Seattle Repertory Theater. The cast and crew never phone in performances, whether it is a Friday opening night or a Sunday matinee. The drink selection, usually themed to the show, can be a little too eclectic for my tastes, but the ability to preorder and have your drink waiting is very nice. The Sherlock Holmes plays done here are instant classics of character study and minimalist set design. If you don't love live theater try a comedy and see if your interest piques.
Season ticket holder for more than 30 years. Excellent theatre. Good selection of plays, excellent acting and sets. An asset to the Seattle community.
Saw A Thousand Splendid Suns and was blown away. Ingenious set design, brilliant scripting and phenomenal acting.
From intimate family dramas to musical spectacles, the Rep always has surprises! Under artistic director Braden Abraham the seasons have gotten really exciting.
Had a great experience, friendly staff, great view to stage. There's easy public parking across the street.
We saw Woman In Black last night. I didn't believe a play could be scary. Hahahaha. I found myself dreaming of the last few scenes over and over, so kudos to everyone involved. Also, the establishment itself is excellent. $2 coffee honor system is awesome. Self serve. Ushers and box office knowledgeable, fast efficient. Go team! I've always wanted to go to Seattle Rep since I was a kid and they absolutely delivered.
Today was Nina Simone: Four Women. Thoughtful play, stunning music & singing. See it!
There's not really a bad seat in the house! And tickets are very reasonably priced. We saw Shout Sister Shout which was phenomenal!! In general this theater is committed to its mission of telling stories that represent people from diverse backgrounds and their talented casts are also reflective of this mission. It's awesome.
Old, uncomfortable seats, bad location...hard to park. The second level is wayyyyy up there, if I go here again I will make sure NOT to sit on the second level!!!
As You Like It, adaption by the Seattle Rep Theater, was an absolutely incredible, fun and Standing Ovation deserved performance. Instead of a sword fight scene, they did a Lucha Libre.
Throughout the performance, they had different cultures for different scenes/story telling. You wouldn't think that it would work if you hear about it. But when you see it put all together, it really was an incredible performance. Every single moment of it was beautiful, fun and ....words really can't describe how great the performance was. I am so happy I got to see it.
Last night of Hershy Felder performing Our Tchaikovsky at the Seattle Rep. Fantastic!
Consistently stupendous acting in thought provoking plays
We saw The Woman in Black it was a outstanding thrill of a story presented by only three cast members onstage.
Abseloutly amazing, I saw washington heights and the play and actors where stunnung!
Great evening watching John Thomas and Pamela Reed starring in The Humans. Well acted slice of Americana set in modern day NYC on Thanksgiving.
Too bad that two stages are crammed into such a small space. There is always confusion as to which line is for the play that you want to see - you would think that there would either have signs or people directing you to the correct line. The building itself is a bit dated and it feels crowded during intermission.
Despite the actual building, performances are always great - support the arts!
The Rep is a great local theater, and it's location in Seattle Center makes it convenient to get to from anywhere in the city. Every show that I have seen here has been very well produced, and I don't hesitate to recommend taking in a show at the Rep.
Been going here for 15+ years. Love the venue and productions. Youth should take advantage of the student discounts.
I saw the play Indecent, and it was amazing. The theater was nice and the area around the building was beautiful.
1000 Splendid Suns was the best thing I have ever experienced.
Great venue! Love the intimate seating and the view to the stage.
I attended a 1000 splendid suns last week and it was a great show with excellent actors and actresses. I had a great time and thank you for telling and sharing such a deep and meaningful story.
Outstanding. Every production I have seen has been world class quality.
An affordable venue with not a bad seat in the house!
A variety of productions from frivolity to mind changing drama. Well thought out seasons!
