We were guests at a birthday party today and had a great time! We got a behind the scenes tour and our guides, Garret and girl (I didn t catch her name) were awesome. I was really impressed with their knowledge and how well they interacted with the kids. You are lucky to have such great people on your team! The kids loved the aquarium and we all had so much fun!

It was a pretty neat place to spend an hour or two; everything from jelly fish, sea horses, sharks, and other aquatic life. We did the basic walk through and it went by pretty quickly which was a little upsetting. If you did other things it would cost much more, but you'd be there for a longer amount of time. Overall it was a pretty neat place and if you have kids, it is definitely worth it!!

Fun aquarium. A must is the private tour. Our guide Phil was the BEST! If you take a behind the scenes tour, ask for Phil. It was really cool to see how they care for the tanks and get to go above to see the regular day to day. Plus the big sea turtles come up to say hi! Pretty Cool!!

Really neat little aquarium. It's a great place to take your kids especially if they have never been to an aquarium before. There are a couple places where they let you get a bit more hands on if you feel the need to touch some sea life. The aquarium is kind of small for adults but it's a perfect size for your little ones

It's pretty expensive for what you get overall, but it's also a great escape from the norm in Minnesota. Is still recommended a trip. There are coupons online so make sure to take advantage of those.

This isn't a huge aquarium and it's in the basement of the MOA - but what they have they've packed into their space and made the journey through the exhibits interesting and engaging. I loved the Rainforest complete with waterfalls and various different reptiles and amphibians.. the underground tunnel is long with good lighting for some potentially drama pictures. Their seahorse displays are beautiful and easy for kids to see. They also offer talks if you're in at the right times. You can also pay and do a behind the scene tour if you have older children who would appreciate the inner workings of a place like this. You can also feed the rays (surcharge) and pet starfish (free). All in all, while a bit pricey (MOA anyone?) I thought it was a nice 75 minute diversion!

I thought this was overpriced. For a family of five it cost over $100 (with discount of buying tickets online). The tunnel is crowded and it is difficult to look through the aquarium because of the visual distortion created by the curvature. After the tunnel there is a jelly fish exhibit which I think had three small tanks of jellys, lots of mirrors to make it seem grander. There are a couple of other small tanks with other species. You then enter the area with the sting ray pond, you pay extra to throw in two small shrimp to feed them, no touching here. The final exhibit is the rock tide pool where you can touch the creatures. I would definitely buy tickets online, you can save a couple bucks and time. People who were buying tickets there had to wait in line. My kids are ages 4-6. I don't plan to return for the price. My 4 year old asked to go back out and ride the escalator about halfway through the tunnel

Wonderful aquarium with something for the entire family. What you experience here is incredible and the animals are super interactive. The staff is also super friendly and very helpful when it comes to walking thru this place. It is my go to at the mall of america. The attraction is a once in a lifetime experience.

I came here with a coupon which meant it was "only" $15 per adult.

It still feels over-priced

The Jelly fish exhibit had only one type of jelly fish and some plastic bags. No information. Tries to be cool but completely content-less.

The tunnels were probably the best bit (hence two stars not one) but over all it was not a great experience. There are many things that could be done with the aquarium to increase its value and interest. Exhibits are fairly sparse in the rest of it.

If you're going to spend $30 each on admission (regular price) you will feel severely short-changed.

Very disappointed by this aquarium. First of all, it is tiny. Felt like it was over before it started. Second, the Octopus exhibit was shut down while we were there (probably one of the reasons it went so quickly) and to me, that is grounds for a discount. Third, it feels like the most "touristy" tourist trap in all of the MoA, which is saying something. At the end of it, you are automatically ushered into a touristy photo-op and then, straight into the gift shop. No way to avoid them. Terrible. Despite significant discounts (our kids got in for free), this was not worth it.

Over all it was a good experience. There are usually coupons available that make this more affordable for families. Being that it was in the Mall of America it was pretty busy so if you don't like crowds this probably isn't the place for you. When we 1st entered it was pretty dark and narrow and it was hard to stop and look at anything because there were so many people behind us that we're also trying to walk down the path and look at things as well. I wish we had more time to look and didn't have to keep moving. It is especially crowded with strollers. Once we got to the underwater area it was pretty amazing. It was beautiful to see all of the creatures as if we were under the sea! There was a really good variety of different creatures as well. Again, pretty dark here as well, so photos don't turn out so well. The gift shop was nice there were a lot of things to choose from. At the end there was an opportunity to have some hands on anenomies, But we were disappointed that the children could not actually touch the sting rays. Or anything else. Over all it was a pretty good experience and we would probably go back.

Fantastic aquarium! Get the annual pass (30 bucks per adult). My 17 mo old son gets in free. He loves it here. Since we have a membership - we go an hour before close and get the place almost all to ourselves.

You can pet the rays in the ray pool. Sea horses, jelly fish, Nemo, and the huge tunnel. In the tunnel, sharks, rays, sea turtles, etc swim right over you. It is seriously way cool. A nice way to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

A tip: if you want to shop at the sealife store without paying admission just ask the staff and they will help you to get to the store. This is a good idea for parents who just can't possibly stand by and watch while their children hymm and hah about what to get....just tell them you can come back another day but only to the shop! Bonus... You still get to walk by the stingray pond.

even as adults you can't help but be terribly entertained here! the prices are crazy expensive in my opinion, but there are always good promo codes and coupons available. Definitely buy online - that's your cheapest option. You can even buy day-of and still get the deals (no planning ahead required).

Pretty cool to take the kids through once. Or just check it out yourself. I went through 2 years ago with my kindergartner for school and then again yesterday for my youngest kindergartner and nothing had changed. So while cool, good for a one-time visit.

Interesting walk through, value is so so. They have done a nice job adding interactive exhibits. It is a solid addition to the Mall of America. Not sure what the average time spent here is, but if i had to guess i would say 20 minutes feels about right.
