SEA LIFE Minnesota Review

The only down side to our experience at Mall Of America was the Sea of Life, it is extremely over priced for what you get. If you think you must go get coupons for at least 50% off and even at that price its barely worth it. Do not pay full price it is not worth it and you will be very dissappointed. The only good thing about it was the sea tunnel, but not worth the full price.

This place is Awesome! Lots of sea life to look at UP Close through glass.

To expensive for the 35min it takes to go thru. I guess if you wait all day to see the feedings it would make it better but would NOT recommend.

Very neat experience! Even my teenagers enjoyed it! Only reason didnt give 5 stars is the price.

The walk though is pretty sweet lots of cool fish. Pretty spendy for what you get though. Make sure you grab a coupon that are posted around the mall in various locations it will save you 10 bucks.

Love seeing everything but jelly fish are my favorite.

This is an interesting and engaging experience for adults as well as kids. However, the price is way too high. If you take a family and use coupons I still feel like they're overcharging by about double. Even going slowly through the aquarium it'll only take about 20-30 minutes.

Honestly, I kind of hated everything about this place. Incredibly crowded on a Saturday. Without the crowd you would zip through this place, with the crowd it's like you're standing in line the whole time. Walkways have so many bottlenecks, it would work a lot better to widen them in areas and cut off the sharp corners. Be prepared to stand behind groups of people that are just trying to enjoy the exhibits, it's not their fault they're in the way. Finally, this place is not autism friendly for my boy. Aside from the jellyfish/sensory area which is really cool for him, everything else about this place was pretty agitating.

Short and expensive. There are better place for cheaper price.

It is a great and fun stop for the kids. The annual membership is definitely worth it if you have children who are interested in sea animals.

Hoping the remodel brings more attractions to view, better marked restrooms including a family room for diaper changing and things to experience while in the experience

This is a great place to see at least once for adults. We have a little one and did a year membership, it is great for her and a little more cost effective. If you do the membership people that come with you get half price tickets. It has been great seeing her get older and interact with the fishes/exhibits more and get different kinds of excited reactions.

Awesome experience. My 8 yr old can't quit talking about it! If you want to know what goes on behind the scenes definitely pay for the behind the scenes tour. It's worth the extra money. Also, pay to feed the Sting Ray's!

Lots of variety in aquariums, love the Minnesota based one.

My daughter and I are members and we LOVE Sea Life. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars because the price is very steep. I, fortunately, am an educator and I got our memberships at a discount. There is often coupons and deals which is helpful. Otherwise, we LOVE Sea Life and could spend a long time just hanging out with the sting rays. They are so cute! We have been there twice in 2 weeks and have had a great time both times. It's been a calm, peaceful place to hang out and we can take our time and see everything at our own pace. The exhibits are awesome and you can really get up close and personal to the sea animals. There is also a lot of ways to learn about them too. It's a very fun experience and I highly recommend it.

I have loved this place! It was my first Aquarium ever and I just had a blast!

It was very nice. But the sea life wasnt what I expected. I was hoping for more of a WOW instead I was DAMN..the money spent there was wasted. But everything else was awesome.

This is an amazing aquarium! It's definitely worth the price though if you have 10 in your group and get the group discount that makes it even more affordable. The kids' favorite part was the touch tank at the beginning and the tunnel. There are so many sharks and other fish in the tunnel--it is huge! Good for all ages but especially 4 to 12.

Very well laid out, personnel extremely helpful, professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

EDIT: Didn't have time at the writing of the original review but wanted to add that several months before going my girlfriend had a stroke. About the half way point she started to get over heated and the elevator would not work for me. A nice young gentleman approached noticing she was in distress. Was able to get the elevator to take us up and gave us water and looked over us until she was better. Helped us get back to where we left off. I am sure he gave us his name but not being good with names and with the situation, don't remember it wish I did so I could personally send a thank you.

Love it!... Feels like your walking inside the ocean ( topside where the sunshine). Little kid friendly, and the background music aahh soothing.

The kids love this place, and I do too. Excellent exhibits in creative presentations. Fairly long glass tunnel takes you through the bottom of large aquariums. Great variety of species.

Not a cheap place to visit but it was well worth the price.

Absolutely, positively the BEST reason to go to the Mall of America!!! An incredible, educational showcase of undersea life! I was so amazed and impressed by the beauty and sheer size of it all! A great learning experience for the whole family of all ages! Very well done! I will return many times!

Really fun, cool experience. Would love to have a little more for the money but it was amazing as always. Currently part of the exhibit was closed with no discount or forewarning hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Walk through underwear tube. Very nice display of sea life that is colorful. Kids enjoyed very much.

Small, good for short attention . The tunnel through the tanks are the best.

Very short tour. Cool underwater experience but check in was rough. The Fastane was not fast at all! Kids really enjoyed it.

Too expensive for the limited sightings available. Good if your kids are older than 8 years at-least.

I love going to see the sharks swim over me in the clear tunnel.

Very clean enclosures & good information on what they have. A little disappointed that so many tanks were wasted on legos w/ no fish in them though--I'll put those tanks to good use if they don't wanna.

My daughter, my great-niece and myself went for my 57th birthday. Had a GREAT time.

My sister and I visited on a rainy Sunday. She'd never been there before, and it had been 16 years since my last visit.

We had a lot of fun watching the various species swim all around us, and my sister took some amazing pictures. I would absolutely recommend visiting this place if you're at the Mall of America.

It was fully accessible for my power wheelchair, too. People with disabilities as well as those pushing strollers will have no difficulty navigating the exhibit.

Justin at the front was so wonderful to us!!!! We had such an amazing time!

We have so much fun going to the Sea life , affordable with coupons that can be fine in the Mall too.

So very impressed by this place and their staff. They are working very hard to ensure a fun and safe place to bring your kids. They exceeded my expectations with cleanliness/COVID precautions and cleaning. They have time slots to ensure it does not get overcrowded, spacing stickers on the floor, staff wiping down surfaces/ especially places on the glass where the kids touch, and bathrooms were so clean. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I hope Management sees this review and shares it with their staff. Excellent work everyone! We appreciate a fun and safe place to visit during this tough time.

Honestly I am surprised it doesnt cost more to enter here! 25.99 for an adult ticket. The best part is the clear tunnel under the aquarium that you walk through and get to see all the sea creatures, which they have a large variety of! Some of them like to lay on top of the tunnel which gives you a really up close look. I highly recommend visiting if you are already in the mall.

The staff here really seem to love their job and the fish seem to be well take care of. The behind the scenes tour is totally worth it. We had Dan as our guide. He was cheerful and answered all questions with great facts or directed us to where we could find the answer. The tunnel is so calm and beautiful I could've stayed there all day. Thanks for the great time!

Updates for COVID were handles very nicely. Felt like the only family there.

The mermaid show was magical for me and my 5 yr old!!

Nice aquarium. It's small compared to other aquariums, but I suppose it's acceptable since it's in the mall! The tunnel was very nice. Highly reccomend a visit to the aquarium if your visiting the mall.
