I spent a fortune on sound proofing insulation and it made zero difference. Asked for a refund and they wouldn t accommodate. I was promised it would block sound like a sound studio and it s literally no different. Don t spend the money or go elsewhere, this was a very disappointing investment.

I walked into my kitchen this morning and it was WARM! First time since we bought the house. Amazing.

Excellent job from start to finish. Our project manager, Dennis, did an excellent job addressing our concerns relative to noise and draft. We followed his advice and are completely satisfied with the results. The installation team consisted of 3 very capable and delightful young men who did a terrific job. The guys worked together very well, and they were polite and professional. The supervisor arrived to put the finishing touches on the job and the fellows cleaned up beautifully. I highly recommend SDI!

The job was done on schedule, there was an issue where SDI contacted me to let me know that the job would be more than initially agreed upon as my home was larger than I had initially disclosed. They had never been to the job to measure up or look at the access. I sent them a PDF of our house plan that showed that my calculations were correct and they agreed to finish the job at no extra charge (which was nice of them, don't you think?).
Ultimately, the job was done well and the price was fair.

Holy cow this company doesn't have a clue how to serve their customers. The rep was totally arrogant, and didn't communicate what to expect, so we had a really rocky start with them when the crew showed up. But the far worse thing is how they handled what happened next. We had our house insulated from the outside. Our house is stucco. The stucco patch they used didn't cure. Instead it basically was sand. So when the big storm hit, we had water running down a wall, and dripping from a pot light. They came and put some foam over the holes that were allowing water in. The following week they came back to "permanently" fix the issue. But instead of removing the "sand" they simply painted over it with a rubberized sealant. Within 3 DAYS the sealant had cracked on some of them and water could penetrate again. They even left some of the foam over the sand and painted sealant over that. What a joke. The CSLB will be hearing from me. Do yourself a favor and get your house insulated by a company that does have a clue. I'm not going to get into the unprofessionalism we dealt with throughout the ordeal, but needless to say, avoid these yahoos. You're better off in a cold house than a moldy house.

Great experience with SDI Insulation. They did their job fast, communicated well - everything is very straight forward. The prices are also competitive.

To whom it may concern , The workers were great and did a good job.The over all unit is much quieter so the goal was accomplished.
There was three issues that cost the building owner because SDI was not fully prepared for the situation.The issues we informed both of the sales associates ahead. of time and if you work in SF these issues should be resolved ahead of time.
1.The material estimate was substantially off. Yes a judgment call, but I told the appropriate person ahead of time that the building was made 140 years ago with real 2X4's and 2X12's, not modern 2X4's and 2X10's. Hence the wall and floor cavities were sometimes 2 inches deeper than would be on a more modern building.Simple math miscalculation.
2.The open truck was a big issue on a street with lots of foot traffic. We had to provide security for when no one was at the truck.
3.The parking we had to provide cost us lots of bucks.
Work these out and would consider using you in the future.

The workers arrived on time. They protected the carpet, doors, staircase carefully with thick plastic sheetings from damage by the big rubber hose. They sucked out the old insulation material from the attic completely and cleaned up the place nicely. Very polite and professional workers. I would recommend SDI to my friends.

Everyone at SDI - from the project managers, to the job managers, to the workers - was professional, courteous and just lovely to work with. We're so impressed with the efficiency of our heating system after reinsulating our attic and adding insulation to our walls that we wish we'd done this sooner! Highly worthwhile and recommended.

Wow! I have spent the last year doing a complete renovation of my home. Brett Delorenzi of SDI has guided me through this whole process of spray foam insulation, unventing my roof, and sound proofing my duplex. I do know a little about spray foam and Roxul insulation, but Brett literately took me to the next level on how Closed Cell Spay foam insulation and Roxul can work in concert. We did flash and batt in the laundry room, so no sound or cold comes into my upstairs apartment. Roxul (AFB) Acoustical Fire Board in the ceiling in the basement apartment to fire and sound separate the two apartments. We now have a very safe, very quiet, and warm duplex thanks to SDI!

The customer service has been phenomenal. Because of the rebuilding process I've had to reschedule my spray foam installation over six times. Marcella (i hope I am spelling it right) has be an absolute rock of understanding in scheduling my installations, so courteous. On the job site SDI employee's were super efficient, clean, and meticulous in getting that closed cell spray foam everywhere I had requested.
If you want insulation done right, this is the company you call in the Bay Area!

I am a general contractor and I have been using SDI for foam insulation installation for years. They are the best and we don't use anybody else. Foam is too hard to install and too easy to mess up so we goin with the guys who have the most experience.
