I came in and the guy working there made me feel like an idiot. Kept telling me he owns the place and tried to tell me my knowledge was incorrect. I ve been diving for 20 years. I was excited to try this place out but I ll never be back.
I first came to this place with absolutely no knowledge of diving, except knowing that I wanted to try it.
Everyone at the shop has always been very respectful and helpful to me, guiding me and my girlfriend/dive buddy through the certification process. We still go in to rent equipment and use the pool and I have had nothing but positive experiences here.
Definitely one of the coolest and most unique businesses Downriver.
I have been coming to this shop for years(for snorkeling gear) and got certified in scuba with their help 2 years ago. Paul and his staff have always been very kind / helpful and on a couple occasions, actually talked me out of buying things they knew wouldn't work for my specific needs (even though I was ready to hand over cash to order them). I would highly recommend this shop for all your diving needs and instruction! THANKS PAUL AND STAFF FOR ALL YOUR HELP THROUGH THE YEARS!!!!
Paul is very professional and business oriented. I took private dive classes. Very nice helpful professional instructors. I brought in some used equipment and they serviced it for me right away. Overall Paul really helped me out.
Paul is just above and beyond knowledge and kindness... I am disabled and work on aqua therapy... they have never NOT been able to help me out

Great location for scuba training. I took my daughter there and was so impressed set up a group event for my civic group. I ll be back soon for sure.
Everytime I've been in the shop, everyone has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I'm active duty and only in town for a very short time, each time I'm here. They went out of their way, two seperate times, to help me out when it was totally unexpected but much appreciated! There's only 2 dive shops in Michigan that I'll go to and Scuba Centers is my number 1!
Cranky old man runs the place. Do not go there if you're under 30! Chances are he won't take you seriously!

Paul helped my fiancee find a wetsuit in her size, and even stayed past closing to make sure we had the right fit, and helped us with all the information we needed. You won't get that kind of service from an online store, we were very impressed, and plan to come back for classes.

Upon arriving, I was not even greeted or even acknowledged. No, "how can I help you?", "what brings you in today?" or anything of the sort. Waited for me to speak, no genuine kind gesture of any sort. Paul was condescending and extremely blunt. Does not accept a PADI e-card, or even knew what it was. A PADI eCard is an electronic version of the plastic certification card. It displays information that instructors or dive operations around the world need to verify certification. I've used it on dives around the country without question and for some reason his indoor pool raised a huge fuss. My dive instructor in Florida was more than happy to fax over a copy of my physical card, and I was looking forward to choosing this place to continue my diving education up to Dive Master, but I would not waste a single penny or the hour drive to ever talk to this awful man. I told him I was going to write a yelp review, so I asked for his name, and he told me his name, said he owned the facility and told me that I better leave before he called the cops. He was so aggressive and hostile that I felt so unsafe being in the building alone with him.
He really was a rain storm on the sunshine of a day I was having! You really stink Paul! One star for you!

Was in here the other week . New to area plus looking for dreams I want to do. Paul the owner was nice . I know little but been soaking in knowledge like a sponge online. He informed me of suits for the area an 2 piece. I been researching so much gear just pricey to start up is killer. Cant wait to hit the water soon an learn . Just bummed out need cert. To use pool . June far away wish there was way to train indoors till then piecing gear together an making payments cause course is both indoor an outdoors but weather holds off. Can u train before June if suit keeps warm diver .
My wife and I both got out certification with Scuba Centers of Michigan. The guys were very helpful and flexible with scheduling training times.
Friendly staff, provided great instruction to our Boy Scouts!
