I did not use this office for realty business, but I never would, based on the rudeness of an employee there. I walked in asking a couple questions about a restaurant next door that had a note on their door to refer delivery s To the Scout office for a couple hours. I was asking if they knew what time the restaurant might open because I had been told someone would be there an hour earlier to open it for me. The receptionist at Scout was very nice and we both were finished deciding there was nothing I could do but wait, when we were rudely interrupted by another employee who came out and condescendingly said, you do know that s a different business than this, right ? You do know this Is their problem, right ? I would suggest to this employee, likely a realtor(?), that you treat everyone that walks in your door as a potential customer, and not ask if they are such an idiot that they don t know the difference between a restaurant with kind employees and a realty office with a rude and condescending one. You should apologize to your receptionist, who seems great at her job, and likely is made to feel as if she can t handle things when you step in and insult potential customers.

Alia was wonderful to work with. She was so helpful with negotiations with the seller and stayed on top of the many pre-sale projects and helped get a great deal on contracted work. Highly recommended!

My husband and I felt very satisfied with our choice of Erin McGovney for our realtor. We found it refreshing that she didn t go overboard to convince us of her expertise, before hiring her. Instead we were convinced on our own by her actions. It was obvious how knowledgeable she is. When the Buyer of my house was negotiating, for instance, she was calm and unflappable in the face of our uncertainty of what was best. She responded quickly when we sent her questions. Erin s manner exudes quiet competence and put us at ease. We both felt very comfortable with her demeanor and operating style and knew we were in good hands.

Our experience with Alia and Erin was beyond anything we could have imagined. My girlfriend and I were first time home buyers, needless to say we were very anxious at the onset of the process of how the whole thing would pan out. Just meeting Alia and talking with her put us to ease about everything; we knew we were in great hands - she even called what neighborhood we would end up in within 30 minutes of our initial meeting!

From helping us with our lender, to the offer and the contract, the appraisal to the renegotiation, and everything in between, Alia was steps ahead of the game and kept us worry free and confident. She taught us a considerable amount throughout the process as well.

Not only did we know how great she was, we were getting praise about her from contractors and the sellers agent as well.

Buying a home for the first time can be a big, scary, intimidating and impossible-feeling thing - but my husband and I were fortunate enough to work with Alia. Two of our good friends recommended her highly to us - and no wonder! - from focusing on the right details during walkthroughs, to putting together competitive offers, to walking us through the inspection and negotiation processes, Alia was incredible. She stayed on top of everything to make sure that we were always in the best position possible. I don t know how she keeps track of all the things she does! She answered all of our questions through the process, providing critically important information we didn t even know we needed, and she helped us feel confident and informed. She is also just a top-notch, FUN human to be around. The Portland real estate market can be pretty spooky, and we love love love our new home - there s no way we could have done this without Alia.

"It was either you or the yellow pages." was my opening statement to Alia Hazen. I didn't want to buy a house but my accountant has instructed me, unless I was the dumbest person ever, to buy one. Alia should have been offended in hindsight but being a first time home buyer I had no idea. I really didn't care about the house but with the help of my sisters and Alia they found the perfect house, I ended up totally loving it. She went above and beyond by helping me with my lender as the communication was horrible from them. The week before closing I called Alia as my lender wasn't calling me back. I needed to know exactly the amount of my down payment. Sensing the fear in my voice Alia asked "Why do you need to know this as your bank account had more than enough funds last week?" I laughed explaining "I have of a bit of a gambling problem and I lost $10k street racing last Friday. Don't worry I'll find a way to get it just need to know the exact amount."
