I have 4 kids. All of them go to this school. They love environment of this school. The teachers are so friendly!

I do not agree with Denise. Mrs. Meral is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She helps whenever you have trouble with something and she never gives up on us. I've been to Science Academy of Chicago since kindergarten (except for 2 years) but i could say that i loved it. It has an amazing staff with amazing people that I've been friends for almost all my life. Totally recommend bringing your children to this school.

Wonderful place, i like the food food is the best and very tasty, Mr. Lutfullah is very nice person. I can tell that all of the teachers are the proffesionals.
If you come here you will be very helpful person in the future.

I dont know what Denise is talking about. Mrs. Meral is one of the best teachers out there. She is the reason why I am in a high level math. In high school if you don t write your name on an assignment, it instantly gets thrown away and you must redo it. Mrs. Meral is simply trying to teach the students early so they don t do the same mistake later in life.

This school is one of a kind; positive and nurturing climate and hands-on activities allows acquisition of knowledge fun and cohesive. We never experienced a child, who is unwilling to go to school. The school is small and so diverse that one can easily feel comfortable and at home.

This school has a unique atmosphere and dedicated educators to provide a safe, well rounded education for the students. The rigorous curriculum pushes the students to their limits and teachers help the students to focus and accomplish their goals. They make themselves available anytime and be a great role model for our kids.

SAC brings together academic rigor, family environment and character education. School facilities are well designed and taken care of. Administrators and teachers are true idealist educators. Their love and compassion is very well reflected in both student moral and academic success. My son and daughter attended the school two years before we moved from the area. The school definetly makes top of the list for the items we miss in the Chicago area.

So grateful to be a part of it, my kids are learning a lot,they came to SAC two years ago,and just getting better and better.so happy that my kids are learning Spanish,science,music instruments that I didn t find in other schools.Also the school is providing amazing clubs that my kids are enjoying.

I do not agree with Denise either. Mrs.Meral strives to make her students happy all the time. She is always at school when she doesn t need to be, and always looks out for her students. I remember when I was taking Algebra 1 with her as my teacher, she would give out tea and biscuits when we were having a rough day. She always volunteers to help plan programs for her current students and her alumni. Also throwing away a paper with no name on it is the normal procedure done in most schools, and is the norm.

As a general review of SAC, it has the most dedicated and loving staff ever. As an alumni of the school (I went for 9 years) I can assure you that SAC has a very nice family atmosphere and everyone is thought about. SAC is also a school that constantly pushes you to do better with higher level courses being available, urging kids to learn through STEAM, etc. I am in a public high school right now and SAC has absolutely played a role in me being prepared for it. I would 100% recommend send your child here.

Our 3 kids start to go this school last year, I like the diversity in this school, good pedagogues, great staff. Smart student can achieve success everywhere but the moral teachings, ethics seams to be a hard challenge, that is our goal. Happy to be a parent of SAC student

Ms. Meral is the most kind-hearted and patient person I have ever met. I personally struggled with mathematics, however, with her assistance, I was able to do better. She is very understanding and compassionate when it comes to teaching and her students. I am glad to have had a truly genuine and thoughtful teacher whom I absolutely love.

We love SAC. My three children are lucky. One graduated two years ego, two of them are still in. The teachers are dedicated and school has a family environment.

I strongly disagree w Denise, I wasn t even one of her students, but Mrs Meral pushed me to work my hardest in Geometry either way. Throwing away a paper w no name on it is normal. Denise I would recommend you to write your name on future assignments SAC is overall great.

I had three children attended SAC this year. They showed tremendous academic improvement. We were very happy with the school culture without bullying and fight issues at all.

Great learning environment. Teachers are so nice. They focus on Stem education where students are prepared for challenging events.

This school has good teachers but also has some teachers like the math teacher, Mrs Meral who throws away to the garbage the students homeworks with her excuse, no name on it, cannot look for who has it! . Also, she was a kind of teacher who grades wrong, obviously based on her moody days. She possibly thinks education is like her moody education system not like True Real American Education System. That s unfair! I can t believe such people could be placed as educators. So sad!

I have two kids graduated from Science Academy of Chicago. First of all, the teachers are so passionate and committed to their craft.
My kids had incredible opportunities in sports, fine arts, and other extracurricular activities.
The school administrators know the kids by name and have fostered a loving community.

My son graduated from SAC and got accepted to one of the prestigious high school. SAC provides top-notch, individualized education, and challenges its students at their level. It was an outstanding experience to be part of the SAC family, and I highly recommend it to the parents.

My son started Pre-K this year at the Science Academy of Chicago and he loved it. I can observe the positive change since he started the school. Teachers are great and care so much. I recommend SAC.

Small, safe and friendly environment in the school. Teachers care for students and are willing to help them out.

My son has been a student of Science Academy for the last 7 years and since I found them online at that time (thanks google), I am paying my dues here . Pros: great academics and small (but not too small) class size, teachers and staff that you and your kid can communicate with. Ambitious curriculum but they have great teachers that help conquer it. Tuition is very reasonable, half of what other private schools in my area charge. Only drawback is that I wished they had more outdoor space.

I am so happy I sent my son to SAC for a year. He was a withdrawn kid with mediocre grades. After a year at SAC, he not only excelled in his classes due to a nice competition atmosphere between the peers, but also has become an athlete playing basketball. I recommend this school to all. Teachers are friendly, curriculum is rigorous, students are happy, thus parents are happy. :)

I have three kids attending SAC, small family environment. My oldest one, who is attending SAC since Kindergarten, will be graduating from 8th grade this year. I am very lucky to have such school where my kids are nurtured and challenged.

Teachers here are so dedicated and Mrs Meral is an example of that. She spends so many of her waking hours at the school, working with our children, has an open door policy, and invests in programs outside of her classroom (as so many teachers here do). Mrs Meral works hard for and with our children and holds them accountable for their work (or lack of it) but always in kindest way and for the best interest of their children. For the one person that made a negative statement that is short sighted. Accountability separates the wishers in life from the action-takers that care enough about their future to account for their daily actions. School and home are where our children should learn from their daily actions so they can succeed in the real world. The real world does not have the kindness nor best interests of our children.

I am a proud parent of two wonderful children who are currently attending Science Academy of Chicago. I am very privileged to express the gratitude that I have for SAC team. All the teachers work with great dedication and endless commitment with each and every student. My children s report cards show great improvement year after year. Thank you SAC teachers for all of your hard work and your outstanding professionalism.

I completely disagree with the comment recently made about Mrs. Meral. I was a former student of hers and I can't express my level of gratitude towards her. She always pushed me and my classmates to learn and do the very best. I remember how much time and effort she would put into the after school tutoring hours and math projects. I can almost guarantee that she will do her very best to cover whatever subject your child is having a hard time with. Thanks to her, I easily glided through all my high school math courses and took many college credits before transferring them to a better school. It's hard to see how wired up some parents could get when they see their child struggling in a class. It's so much easier to just blame the teacher before really figuring out what is going on.

I met with this school at 2012 when I moved to IL. My younger son started his school life here at 3 years old while my older one was a 1st grader. With the intense and challenging academic curriculum, I watched my kids improving themselves at learning and expecting higher from themselves also. Now, my 7th grader is taking Algebra (9th grade math) and my 4th grader is over 90% test scores with a self confidence. More important than academy, they love the school environment and they are happy. Now, as a person who became a former teacher in that school, I am full of thank you wishes to all our teachers who added to my kids character a lot while I am doing my best to help my students, feeling as if they are all my kids:) come and see it yourself, our lovely assistant secretary Ms. Selvi is always ready to give a tour to the prospective families
