I took part in schulz-aktiv-travel's trip to Iran ...

I took part in schulz-aktiv-travel's trip to Iran in August 2018. An affordable trip to a destination. not offered by so many organizers: the highest active volcano in Asia, the Damarvand (5617 m). All 10 participants are up there under the guidance of professional guides. Well organized, very good food and nice weather, everything worked out fine. Of course there is always a bit of luck and Iran is a much more relaxed travel destination than most people think, but the organizer had given us plenty of advance information about Iran and then had us looked after on site. So the tour also had a lot of educational and recreational vacation. And the cultural part of the trip is simply beautiful too. And the incredibly cheap exchange rate makes everything even looser ...

Was on the Tanzania trip with my brother and father to the summit of Kilimanjaro and the summit of Mount Merus. The mountaineering was also combined with a nice safari through the Arusha National Park. The journey was completely worth it! In addition to a great team on site, fantastic scenery and good organization, the experiences on the mountain are simply unforgettable!

We have our entire Tanzania trip with Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro Ascension, Big Five Safari (Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire NP, etc.) and Zanzibar (Stone Town, Sunshine Marine Lodge) including an Individual Program around Arusha at Schulz Active Travel booked. We were absolutely competent and friendly advice from Mrs. Ines Lehmann. She has responded to all our (special) wishes and everything worked perfectly. We had a dream vacation that we will not forget.

My friend and I, traveling with schulz, have been touring twice already. Both trips (Madeira and Ireland) were really great! We also like to go individually on holiday and look for everything together but a professionally planned trip shows you but special corners of the country and you quickly get to know new people on the tour groups. Let's see where the next trip is ... :)

We went on a hiking safari through the Arusha, the Ngoro Ngoro Crater and the Tarangire NP with Schulz Aktiv Reisen in Tanzania. We really enjoyed the trip, the organization went very well, the guides were very nice and always tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The hikes were not very strenuous but very informative as the accompanying rangers knew a lot about nature. We can only recommend the trip.

It was beautiful. Excellent the duo Marin and Berti! Many well-founded information about the country and people, varied program, organization without fault and blame. At the sea, we would like to stay longer. Accommodations good, food was great. Everything has left a good impression. A return worthwhile. Recommendation: visit an olive mill with subsequent opportunity to buy this oil. Thank you for this trip and continue to have a good hand for destinations.

I enjoyed the hiking week in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains (August 29th to September 5th, 2020), tours weren't too strenuous for me (60 years old). Tour guide and group were nice too, I enjoyed it. It was my first hiking vacation. However, I had previously climbed the Brocken several times for training purposes. Next year I would like to have another hiking week, preferably in Madeira in spring.

Schulz Aktiv Reisen South Africa Western Cape

Schulz Aktiv Reisen South Africa Western Cape

The concept of the trip is really good -
You just limit yourself to getting to know the Western Cape region and don't go on big tours.
This gives you more time and enough opportunities to relax and move around on site.
The alternating leisure activities such as hiking, cycling and canoeing are well chosen and make the trip interesting.
I have been to South Africa several times, but this tour is definitely one of the recommended tours.

Mt.Meru, Safari and Kilimanjaro (30.09.-12.10.17):
First of all, I have to say that I have always traveled individually on my own and this was on recommendation the first experience with a fully organized group travel.

Organization and implementation on site was almost identical to the planned itinerary. The Schnuppersafari was sufficient for me, who really lays on safari, should take advantage of the offered extension.
A unique journey (combination) despite the efforts on the summit days, a sensational feeling to stand on these peaks -> thanks schulz active travel from Dresden and the good guides on site (especially Isaac and Frankie and our great waiter Elvis)!
Last but not least was also the really great harmonizing group of eleven responsible for this active holiday.
"Everbody say .... WERA!"

I'll book again soon at schulz-aktiv-reisen, have already got concrete ideas for 2018

Update 2019:
I was not disappointed or "praised" too soon after my first time!
Since October 2017 I have been with "Schulzens" on the Kilimanjaro , on Cuba , the Cape Verden , on Huskytour in Finnish Lappland and in Nepal - just now I am impressed back from Bolivia and Peru ...

Always well organized, if possible away from mass tourism, partly realized in small groups (2 or 3 travelers !!!) and always open for individual requests, sympathetic and dedicated staff and guides on site, which for and with us travelers always the special on the track are!

Keep it up

If something goes wrong, the very competent employees always help immediately. I recommend Schulz Aktiv Reisen 110%!

A real great but also very demanding journey in to...

A real great but also very demanding journey in top weather came to an end (31 h return flight total time). Ultimately, everything is very well organized even if the effort really should be tackled only by top fit people. Also, the tip was not enough, because all participants on the ground, such as the driver to some 3 Gaits (which was sometimes not necessary), the porters on the cooks to all drivers, all should get something. Of course, they all had, it is really hard earned but it would be fair in my eyes, you clarified that exactly in the travel description, so that you know you have to min. 200, - more. In addition, one wonders in the salary structure on the ground and the recommended tip height in comparison to the travel price, who pays in the end what. Sorry but that's what happened to me but maybe just me ...
Jose our steady companion was not only a funds guy, very nice and always thought that it all goes well and yet, sorry Jose, please before the next tour I personally the remarks to the museums or the ruins were too thin ( take it as a help, you just can not know everything or can !!) and probably that was why not all then in listening full concentration, which also I had to yawn with fatigue / exhaustion, which I am still sorry today. I have the feeling that I have to read a lot more in the aftermath, as long as I make it in the many hobbies but let's see if there really is not so much about the Incas or the Spaniards following and their creations, as my wife already rebuked.
In short, a great experience in a country full of contrasts and in every area. The efforts were worth it for us and that with such a tightly planned trip not everything runs perfectly, one knows already before (subject spare bus replacement)! Since it is rather not quite to understand that you can u.a. There are apples, where the country offers so many alternative fruits or a kind of puffed rice barely that one ate and cost on the walk about a sol (about 30 cents). The one at the closing dinner then get another card with 3 predetermined dishes is also ok, but not that the amount on the plate is a different, as with other guests. And sorry after the 5000 he climbs that day, you are really hungry, even if or just because it tasted so good and was a great place - thank you Jose !!
If you want to know more, because the height is not even the biggest challenge, you can contact us by mail (see also www.iso-page.de). So now the Opitz has been barking enough, what he would not do, let's talk about other rice prices ...
Oh, one more positive thing I want to highlight. Lusia, our first companion on the Santa Crus Trail, could not be surpassed by real, steady sympathy or friendliness. So extremely nice and always with helping - really the woman should always be there!
It greets Thomas Opitz, who was so happy, what his wife has done ....

We were in Peru in April 2017, result, terrible, messy !!!! We were "duped", I think. The local tour guide confirmed to us that wrong travel plans were sent to us and that there was only stress and annoying discussions. Schulz Aktiv Reisen confirmed this in a reply to our complaint but wants to feed us with an "alms". Now we have to and will complain, luckily our legal protection has promised full cost recovery, let's see if Schulz active travel is now coming down from his high horse. We have made many trips to Latin America in the past few years, we have never experienced such a crap. SO EYES ON!

The trip to Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia was impressive. I have never experienced so many different great landscapes in a single trip. Our tour guide, Alex Koller, organized everything very well and was a personable and enthusiastic leader of the trip. Dear Alex, thank you very much! I would also like to thank Ms. Denise Haufe for the friendly phone calls prior to the trip.

We immigrated in October 2019 "Around the Manaslu". From our small group (4) was just before departure a private trip (buddy and me). Despite or perhaps because of this short-term challenge, it was an overwhelming experience. Our guide Dammar was always on hand with advice, deeds and extra information. At the highest point (Larke Pass, 5,160 m), the air is already quite thin, but every halfway fit Central European manages to do that if he is not traveling too fast. At the end of the trek (parallel to the Annapurna round), one longs for the calm of the past days. Day trips in Kathmandu and Pokhara with dedicated guides have rounded off the trip.

Trip to Georgia 9/2020: the support of our 4-person tour group was perfectly organized, our tour guide Davit told us a lot about the country and its people and guided us safely on the wonderful hiking tours. And Sasa, our driver, brought us quickly and safely to our individual destinations in the Georgian driving style. In the accommodations we were well fed with Georgian delicacies, so that the table was not always enough.
We are very happy to have experienced this trip during the Corona times and felt safe at all times. The support provided by the travel agency prior to the trip was also very pleasant. Due to the uncertainty as to whether the trip could be carried out, we were in regular contact and were always up to date.
Many Thanks !

Morocco - camel trekking in the desert - cruelty to animals?!

We experienced a wonderful ten day trip in Morocco. We made a conscious decision to do camel trekking. In retrospect, it turned out that we should have done without it. Because the animals were not always treated appropriately. Sometimes it bordered on animal cruelty. Afterwards we also pointed this out to the organizer and now hope that he will take care of the welfare of the animals immediately. Overall, the trip was wonderfully organized, very varied and we didn't miss anything. Our tour guide Karim was very dedicated and motivated to bring us closer to his country and its culture. Every day in the desert was an adventure. Very varied. I can only recommend this trip to everyone. But better without using the camels. It works without it. For example, by jeep, on foot or by bike.

The adventure week in the winter village of Torass...

The adventure week in the winter village of Torassieppi in Finnish Lapland (FIN 81, January 2018) was really fantastic and highly recommended for nature lovers:

Winter wonderland, every day in a different light. Relaxing silence, only your own steps crunch in the snow. The few wooden huts are idyllically located directly on the frozen lake. On top of that, the northern lights could be seen on some evenings. A successful mix between various activities (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, reindeer sledding, visiting the Arctic Spa, ice bar, ...) and free time. It is difficult to pick an absolute highlight from this trip, most likely the husky tour - every day, every activity was a special experience in itself. Every look a photo motif.

The main building with reception / restaurant is cozy and homely, the staff is very friendly and tries to fulfill every request. The entire process of the trip was well organized. The food typical of the country (reindeer, elk, fish, potatoes, vegetables, various berries and lots of whipped cream :-)) and very, very tasty!

The temperatures were mostly between -10 and -15 degrees and were no problem with our own or provided equipment.

I really enjoyed winter in the north and can well imagine going on a similar winter trip again soon, e.g. Cross-country skiing from hut to hut or a longer husky tour.

We had from 11.09. Until September 20th, 2020 a fantastic trip with Schulz Aktiv Reisen to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Our tour guide, Mario Hecktor from Travel to live, was amazing. He not only showed our tour group the beauties of this region with a lot of humor and commitment, but also answered many questions comprehensively with a lot of knowledge about the country, people, nature, geography and geology. Even the fulfillment of very special, individual wishes were no problem. Many thanks to Schulz Aktiv and especially to you Mario. Grazie molto e arriverderci!

Hello, I had a few months ago with schulz-active-t...

Hello, I had a few months ago with schulz-active-travel booked an RSA round trip. Our appointment was an additional date. There was no guide of the local tour operator more available. It was therefore a guide obligated, which, as it turned out, made the trip for the first time.
One can imagine what disadvantages this entailed. Lack of organization at breakfast and lunch, no info about the bus routes, no info about sights, no info about accommodation, etc ....
Even on the second day the microphone failed on the bus and could not be repaired until the end of the tour.
In addition, the tour operator spoke really bad German - and although we had paid 60 EUR extra for German speaking tour guide.
The accommodations were also worse than stated in the schulz-aktiv-travel-info.
To make it short - there were really some problems.
When I complained to schulz-aktiv-reisen at the end of the journey, they suddenly became very "fussy". They claimed that I had not complained correctly about the deficiencies. They also refused any accommodation, they were not willing to compromise. At least I wanted to have refunded the 60 EUR for German-speaking travel guide, even that they rejected categorically.
I think you get to know the quality of a tour operator best by the way he deals with complaints.
So everyone can form their own opinion now.
