The adventure week in the winter village of Torass...

The adventure week in the winter village of Torassieppi in Finnish Lapland (FIN 81, January 2018) was really fantastic and highly recommended for nature lovers:

Winter wonderland, every day in a different light. Relaxing silence, only your own steps crunch in the snow. The few wooden huts are idyllically located directly on the frozen lake. On top of that, the northern lights could be seen on some evenings. A successful mix between various activities (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, reindeer sledding, visiting the Arctic Spa, ice bar, ...) and free time. It is difficult to pick an absolute highlight from this trip, most likely the husky tour - every day, every activity was a special experience in itself. Every look a photo motif.

The main building with reception / restaurant is cozy and homely, the staff is very friendly and tries to fulfill every request. The entire process of the trip was well organized. The food typical of the country (reindeer, elk, fish, potatoes, vegetables, various berries and lots of whipped cream :-)) and very, very tasty!

The temperatures were mostly between -10 and -15 degrees and were no problem with our own or provided equipment.

I really enjoyed winter in the north and can well imagine going on a similar winter trip again soon, e.g. Cross-country skiing from hut to hut or a longer husky tour.
