We visited Schubas to see a band that we follow and we're not too impressed with the bar. The building is a beautifully styled and build place in a good location. Everything appeared to be clean and there were chairs to use near the stage. My only complaint would be the attitude of the bartenders. During every interaction with them they were not very friendly. If there is a band that will pique your interest I would still recommend this place.

Meh...not my kind of place. I mean the music stage in the back is cool. IDK the vibe is low. I felt kind of down when I left. I may go back but its not a place I would ever suggest to others to go to.

Good place for lunch on the way to the Cubs game. Not to many choices so it is easy to choose. Food is good, nice outside area before all the construction. Good beer selection.

Great brunch. Gotta try the Chicago handshake - old style and a shot of Malort.

I've gone to see two concerts at Schubas, and it is certainly worth the price of admission. The acts can be pretty unknown unless you've really got your finger on the indie music scene (I only knew 1 of the 4 bands I've seen perform), but rarely do they disappoint. The concert hall in the back is an awesome spot to enjoy a show, very intimate with good sound. Drinks can e a little expensive, but not much more than you pay anywhere else. I love this place, and as long as they continue to draw fun, energetic bands, i'll keep going.

Went to watch a concert at this small venue. A great place to see the up and coming stars cheaply. Would go back to here. They specialize in Mac in cheese (Several varieties) and we each try one.....all very good! We when there to meet the group "The Last Bison" a folk band that really does well. Even got to eat with the gang and get pictures taken with them all. This was all done for and set up by my son who is a great fan as we all are now; great bunch of people!
The concert venue was different but very good. It was a big empty room with a bench on one wall, a bar, and stage. Standing room only, but was pretty cool. Leg were dying by the end of the concert though. Will go back if the opprotunity arises.

Good venue. Menu is a bit fancy when all I want is bar food, but it's good. The music that comes through is always quality.

Cute but small venue. If you want to go to a show here, make sure to buy your tickets ASAP cause they have a limited capacity.

Great place for live music! Big acts as well as lesser-known local bands come through here. The sound is excellent, and before the show, there's tons of great food and drinks. Get the mac n cheese!

10 dollars for small shot of Jack Daniels on Tuesday night? Are you lost your mind ?
Also on beer menu they list price like 6 or 7 or full dollar price but when you pay they pretends to add tax and you ended up with bunch of coins in you pocket.

Nice venue I went there to see Jack Larsen. Bar has decent prices and the crowd was tame and young. Small place but fun to stay after and keep drinking. I'd recommend it to a friend and go here again.

I love Schubas!!! Some of my most harsh winter days were spent in the back concert room huddled together watching amazing shows. I would recommend it for sure. It;s a must visit in Chicago, great talent passes through there.

It s a nice little dive bar with a stage in the back! Cozy music venue ive seen it but never personally watched a show there.

About the size of the hideout. Not as homely tho. book good up and coming acts. Usually on their first album or EP. Haven't tired the food but I hear good things.

Awesome bar with a nice vibe. Good local brews on tap. The walls and bar fixtures make this bar feel historic and significant. Great place to check out live music too.

Drinks are strong. Space is tight. But all and all a good night.

Schubas is one of the best music venues in Chicago. While there are a lot to choose from, Schubas is definitely one if you love music. Schubas attracts well known bands as well as local acts. They also have alcohol service during shows as well as a delicious lunch and dinner menu. On sundays they offer an acoustic brunch that includes all things good: Brunch and Live acoustic music. I have come here alone and with friends and no matter what, the sound is amazing!

Saw a small show here and had drinks at the bar beforehand. Laid back dive bar atmosphere, and the venue is the perfect size for a more intimate show! The bar was never overly crowded and the service was quick and friendly.

good value for money, sometimes good shows, worth trying at least once, maybe you'll fall in love with the place, I didn't, but still the place is quite nice

Great staff and great venue. They have discounted shots of Malort. Forgot my card here and they held it for over a week so I could get it back. Location very cool looking and very laid back. Some of their food is super cheap and great for snacking on before a show.
Definitly coming back!

Some Really Rude people in the Audience! Was Hard to listen to the Artist. Was there last night 9-27-2019 like being in a Theater without Usher's... gave it Extra Star just because of Bartender & Sound Crew were really Nice! ...Felt bad for the Artist!

Cool little spot close to the city. I went for a concert, sad they ran out of OJ for my drink. But everyone was friendly!

After getting a drink, you can head upstairs for comedy and dowstairs for music . This spot features a full bar and decent food. Go there for a drink and stay for the entertainment.

The selling point to me is clearly the concert hall in back. So great to be right there with the band. The acts that play here aren't always well known but theres always quality!

One of the best small music venues in Chicago, Schubas has a nice bar, a nice restaurant, and occasionally great musical acts. If acts draw becomes to large for Schubas, they migrate to Schubas larger sister venue - Lincoln Hall.

The new renovation is amazing. I love how they kept the old, main part exactly the same though.

Great place in Chicago for small concerts. They have a nice space and great staff. They have some very cool artists come and play here, as well of some bigger names once in a while. Restaurant food is good at acceptable prices.

They have a fun open mic on Monday's upstairs. It's one of my favorites in the city. Plus it's close to a lot of other mics on that night.

This venue is an amazing balance between low-key and high-quality performances. Their ticket prices are affordable and so is their beer. The band venue is small, but allows you to get super close to the performers and it's easy to get a drink from the back bar or a server usually comes by as well. Would recommend it if you like the bands that are playing!

Saw Grieves there, he blew the roof of that place. Great service, great location. Good times. Plus Grieves put me on the guest list.

Amazing concert venue! I have been here several timess and loved the atmosphere. The space is very small and intimate, which I really enjoy when watching a concert. I have never had the food, but I will definitely try it the next time I am in for a show!

This place has a small eating area. It also has the regular bar in here. This place is popular for going to small concerts. A lot of Indie bands play here a lot of the cool bands play here. It's popular among people that are into listening to 93xrt or the wizard or other hip kind of radio stations. The place is legendary. It's been in the neighborhood for decades. I've been here a few times to see some shows a long time ago. The food and the eating area is pretty good. I remember I ate in there a couple of times and one time I had a chicken dinner and I thought it was real good. I remember I had chicken mashed potatoes with gravy on it and coleslaw I think. And it was good. I couldn't complain about that. I haven't been here too many times but I did see a couple of good shows in here. And it's comfortable and it's accessible with the 77 Belmont bus. There's some parking around there. And you're a couple of blocks from the CTA Red Line Brown Line and purple line. And so have fun and enjoy.

Came in for 20x2 at Lincoln Hall. Always come for that. Cool venue. Schubas has a cool vibe and equally cool staff. It's like a going through a Time Warp when you walk from the old bar to the adjacent new restaurant. Mildy jarring. The food is good though. So are the drinks in the bar.

I love Schubas as a music venue! It's a great size to enjoy some great acts.

I love the acoustic brunch even more! Music and eggs benedict, count me in!
