Scandic Antwerp Review

It was nice experience, friendly staff. The only thing that was accepted but not wow the food. I stayed for one week and it was almost the same buffet whole week

Nice relaxed hotel very friendly staff who try to help you with any question
Free parking. Several bus stops nearby that take you to the center.
Spacious room with comfortable beds.
Superb breakfast, lunch and dinner.
And after a day of shopping you can relax in the swimming pool and sauna or in the bar.
The hotel has been nicely refurbished but not quite finished yet, I understand.

Great for each other after renovation. Fresh and modern furnishings. The exterior of the hotel still looks old. Good parking. Fairly close to the center. Food and beverage and dinner excellent.
Lunch well cared for. REPEAT.

They were talking about yakoezie in the room but it was a normal bath that was disappointing.

Far from downtown and currently undergoing major renovations, which means that we were awakened at 8 am by construction workers. Very outdated rooms, but since yesterday received a renewed room, that was neat. Good breakfast and friendly people at the reception.

Super good reception. After some consultation we got linked rooms which was super nice.
The rooms were clean and had a fridge in it.
The decor is in need of renewal, a bit old bulging. I myself had no problem with it.
Breakfast was super, lots of choice.
Also going for a swim was a great pool for a hotel. The sauna on the small side and after a call to the reception, the hammam sauna was also turned on. Finally, a great hotel where you can relax after a day in Antwerp.

Hotel under renovation. We see that he needed it. The chain is a guarantee maybe finished the work will be excellent.

Bad food . Not comparable to other falcon cases. Inexpert staff in the restaurant. Pity.

Food and drink nice and good. Friendly staff and ample parking. But very noisy air con and noisy room. Regrettable.

Good hotel, friendly reception staff, lovely bed. Cozy bar and breakfast is excellent. The only downside was the spider web on the ceiling in the hotel room.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now and it keeps getting better, from the friendly staff to the great bar and restaurant as well as it's location it's a must stay Antwerp

A little while ago I was here last time it was still Scandic. The current owner clearly intends to adapt the hotel to the requirements of the 21st century.

Previously known as the Scandic Crown hotel in Antwerp, the Van De Valkhotel is right on the 'Borgerhout' motorway exit of the Antwerp ring road. Also conference rooms and breakfast / brunch formulas for non-residents. Downsides is that the restaurant is a fairly large room and has little atmosphere, and the swimming pool facility is a bit over the top. Sauna is very small, same swimming pool ..

Top hotel, nice rooms, good beds, super breakfast buffet!

Super home, extensive parking, staff always listening. In short, go for it.

Hotel really requires renovation. Meeting rooms were warm in April, airco was malfunctioning. Hotel room was very very noisy, road traffic very present due to old windows. Breakfast, lunch and hotel location are all good so once renovation is done, I am confident hotel will be much better.

It was just ok, rooms need updating, in the mornings you get like warm water, hairdryer is one of those robots built into the wall. The good news is that the restaurant is fairly good for a hotel.

Nice hotel we had room 217. Almost everything was perfect but a fultui with a thin pad. Terweil one in Ghent two good and beautiful and good cushion for your so better than in Antwerp. Certainly if one has back problems. Bed excellent slept very well. Room even with super air conditioning. Coffee cup machine and fridge and bottled water really cool.

Good hotel. There is a repair and we were in the old room. Of course it s clear that everything is old. And the noise from the window from the highway. There is also no shower cap. But very good administration service. Thanks to them, they listened to our wishes and claims and complied. The restaurant is excellent. Lots of breakfast items. Parking is free. The city center was reached by tram. The hotel bought a ticket for 10 trips. At the reception, they explained in detail how to get a map. I think next time we ll come here again to the renovated hotel

Nice hotel located off the beaten track in a quiet place. Good kitchen and service.

if youre attending events at the sports paleis, its perfect. we walked there to avoid the chaos and took around 30 minutes, worth it. also walked to the city center, a little longer. breakfast was superb!! easy parking, which can be tricky in most of antwerp hotels.

Excellent service. Relaxing, and apealing atmosphere! This hotel seems well run, and well managed. The personel at front desk, bar and restaurant are welcoming and servic minded. However, the burge i order at the at restaurant had far too much bbq dressing on it! It was close to uneatable. An the burger itself was raw in the middle. Probably a one time event. All in all a great stay at a great hotel!

Always friendly service, warm and pleasant setting, good food and actually open every day!

Noisy room on the 5th floor, due to outside cooling system. Really worthless for a room of 129+ euros per night. When reporting to the reception they pretend that we are really the first.
Chanceless, there are plenty of other hotels in the area, so drive to the next one.

Hotel clean, spacious, deco correct. Very convenient location for a stop off the motorway and near a tram line. A little lost if you want to enjoy the joys of downtown in the evening.

Catering was well provided. Restaurant and bar are well cared for, service is certainly fine. Top location for business events.

Not too big hotel with nice rooms. The standard room is spacious enough, good-lying beds. Not very modern but comfortable. Fridge in the room. Very nice that you can make coffee in your room with a Nespresso machine. Bathroom has a bath with shower in one. With enough cupboard space. Two nice chairs for reading or watching TV. There are also Dutch channels on the TV. Small fitness room, small swimming pool and a sauna and hammam for only four people. Hotel is easily accessible on the highway. Dinner is a bit pricey. Breakfast buffet is well supplied with varied and tasty food, both hot and cold.

Very old furniture. No mini bar . Staff very rude. To never come again...

Great value for money .only paid 53 on a Sat night after Easter. Rooms looked better in the flesh ..very clean. Breakfast buffet was also really good value and hotel even had a pool - which we sadly didn't have time to use.

Only extra cost was parking 11/ day, but there is parking on the road. Just didn't want to leave our fully packed car too far out of sight.

I think building on the outside makes hotel look less appealing than it is.

Its' not a designer hotel but very clean and safe and definitely good value for money.
