called in for just a drink on a quiet january week night while staying overnight in hereford. we were lucky that it was quiet and that there was time for a chat and we were blown away by the friendliness and professionalism of the manager. he was so enthusiastic and brimming with new plans and ideas it was so refreshing. even on a cold tuesday night there was so much warmth and welcome we cant wait to return and sample some food and a cocktail or two,

Cracking tunes tonight, finished far too abruptly. The Parmalat violet gin is a must.

Judging by other reviews we must have experienced this on a bad night. The staff were lovely but unfortunately the food was only a little better than appalling. We both had steaks which were so thin they could not be anything other than 'well done' despite asking for 'rare'. The whole meal (onion rings and chips included) was swimming in what could only be bisto gravy though it was called 'red wine jus' on the menu. It really was poor.

Fantastic atmosphere and the staff were very friendly.

Good place for drinks and food with friends however found expensive compared to other bars in town.

Great food, good choice on menu and very helpful\friendly staff, definitely worth a try.

Sunday roast is excellent and kids eat free.
